Michigan Cannabis Activism

Since New Age Citizen (NAC) is based in Michigan it only makes sense that special attention be given to local activities.  The first NAC attempt to aid local efforts was with the Cannabis Personal Use Initiative (04/06/01 - 10/03/01) better known as the "Personal Responsibility Amendment" (PRA).  Although this effort ultimately failed, Michigan Cannabis Reform Activists put forth a Herculean effort and did succeed in collecting over 270,00 signatures.  This was a great achievement for a completely volunteer effort.

Although New Age Citizen is now looking at a broader agenda, Marijuana ReLegalization will continue to be a primary goal and objective until it is achieved.   And while we do support Medical Marijuana and other Drug Reform initiatives we will never be completely satisfied until all adult citizens are able to grow and consume Marijuana (Cannabis) without ANY government interference.  We don't think this is the least bit unreasonable.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for this years Hash Bash and Million Marijuana March on you calendars.  Also, give some thought to attending a meeting of one of the local drug reform organizations.  Finally, you might want to order some Marijuana Lei's before attending this years events:

"If you use drugs you are helping to finance Terrorism."
President George Bush

Don't listen to this dope!  It is Drug Prohibition, and Not Drugs themselves, that have allowed Terrorist Groups to Fund their actions.  In addition we should consider that his father, through his activity in Iran-Contra, was complicit for the largest influx of crack cocaine to the West Coast communities in the late 1980's.
