What to do on Election Day?
* Adding fellow activists to the NAC eLetter:
************************************************************************
It has been about 6 months since the last eLetter -- and I wanted to make sure I got at least one more letter out before the November election. As you will read, I am recommending that you vote for Kerry -- but this is hardly an endorsement. I just feel that by dethroning Bush, we will buy some precious time to derail the agendas of both major parties.
I also have some additional good news. The "New Age News" - which consists of what I read on the internet and elsewhere - is finally available in Adobe Acrobat format. This means you don't need Microsoft Word to read and/or print it anymore. You can access the "New Age News" from the NAC homepage:
I highly recommend that you print and share these articles, as I think they will provide plenty of interesting viewpoints on many current contemporary issues. There are many articles in each issue, however, I will list one of the more interesting articles for each newly available file listed below:
040921 - Includes a study that shows foreign immigrants, with bachelor and graduate degrees, are taking some of the best paying jobs in Michigan while native born college students are leaving the state. Michigan governor Granholm is quoted as saying this is a great trend. I suppose she will be ecstatic when all good paying American jobs are given to foreign workers. This is insanity.
040919 - Review of the 2005 "Project Censored" compilation. These are important articles that have been purposely underreported by the corporate controlled media.
040914 - Reviews of Kitty Kelly's new book on the Bush family. Discusses George juniors cocaine use as recently as 1990 as well as the Bush families close relationship with the Saudi's and Nazi's. Also talks about how the Bush family attempted to suppress the release of this book.
040910 - Includes Time article, "Who Left the Door Open to Illegal Immigrants." This illustrates how the federal government, and both major parties, are actually encouraging illegal immigration into the United States. Also includes transcript of the CNN show, "The Nuclear Threat." This article bolsters the arguments in my 1995 essay that called for liberalization of US Drug policy in order to cut off funding for Islamic terrorism.
040907 - Includes very important article on economist Samuelson -- one of the nations most distinguished and published economists. In this article Samuelson basically says the interpretation of "free trade", as used by globalization advocates, is bull shit. In other words the whole premise supporting globalization is untrue and guaranteed to bring economic devastation to a growing number of working class Americans.
What to do on Election Day?
While both Kucinich and Nader had much better ideas that either Bush or Kerry, I believe the most pragmatic action we can take in November is to vote against Bush! This, unfortunately, means voting for Kerry -- but it is far from an endorsement. Both the Democratic and Republican parties now only represent the interests of multi-national corporations which have betrayed the American people long ago. It is a sad day in America. And it is only going to get a lot worse if we don't begin to fight back.
My feelings about the coming election are at least partially reflected in the title song from the new Green Day CD - "American Idiot":
American Idiot
"Don't want to be an American Idiot
Don't want a nation under the new mania
Can you hear the sound of hysteria?
The subliminal mind fuck America
Welcome to a new kind of tension
all across the alien nation
Where everything isn't meant to be OK
Television dreams of tomorrow
We're not the ones meant to follow
For that's enough to argue"
This is fast becoming an "alien nation" because our government no longer represents the interests of the majority of Americans who must live from paycheck to paycheck. As you read through the latest copies of "New Age News" you will see exactly what I am talking about. Both Kerry and Bush are quietly pursuing positions that the majority of American's do not support. Here are a few examples of what I am referring to.
* Most Americans want to see restrictions against both legal and illegal immigration into this country. Yet both candidates are quietly supporting programs that will give illegal aliens amnesty and programs that will continue to allow foreign workers to come to our country and take some of our best paying jobs.
* Most Americans (70 to 80%) want the sick to have access to Medical Marijuana. Yet both candidates refuse to stop the federal interference which is preventing Medical Marijuana patients from getting their medicine.
* Most Americans want to see an end to the offshoring of American jobs. Yet Bush has the audacity to insist that accelerating this trend is the way to go. And Kerry's propositions to stem this tide don't even begin to address the job losses that we have endured since Bush took office.
What we actually need are stronger measures to protect American jobs. Try these few out for size:
* A 20 year moratorium on ALL immigration into the US
* Foreign students cannot work while here and must return home immediately upon graduation. Marrying an American will still get you deported.
* Employers who hire illegal immigrants go to jail for 20 years.
* Children born to illegal immigrants in the United States will no longer become American citizens -- they will be deported along with their families.
Once we place tariffs on offshoring and restrict immigration into this country both universities and corporations will be forced to begin investing in the American workers rather than finding more ways to insure our demise. This is just part of my forthcoming proposals to bring full employment back to American workers.
These are the only types of measures that will bring dignity and fairness back to the American worker. We have to begin taking care of our own.
Of course my answer is to the Medical Marijuana access is to Re-Legalize Marijuana for ALL adult Americans. For more information please read the following articles regarding the Marijuana Re-Legalization Policy (MRP) Project:
But this is just the beginning. In the weeks to come this website will begin taking positions on a host of issues that will benefit the long term interests of the American people as well as those in other industrial and 3rd world countries. And once this is in the works I, Professor Hemp, am going on a speaking tour to challenge the policies of our federal government. If you know of a university student group, or other organization that can finance a visit please contact me at:

Broad dissatisfaction is also being heard as the American people discuss the upcoming presidential election. Most of those that are voting for Kerry are insistent that they are really voting against Bush -- because neither candidate seems worthy of their vote.
Finally, I want to give you my opinion on what the media's role has been in this election. Over the last nine months discussions of the "issues" has been intentionally marginalized by dominating the news with non-issues. Among these are the following:
* The Swift Boat Controversy that has questioned Kerry's heroism during his duty in Viet Nam.
* The fabricated memo that Dan Rather presented about Bush's National Guard duty.
* The overblown coverage of the last 4 hurricanes to hit Florida.
The Multi-national's, which basically own all major media in America, could not be happier at the way Bush is raping the American worker. So it should not be a big surprise that they would prefer that Bush continue with is non-compassionate agenda. And what better way to do this that to prevent any substantive discussion of how Bush's policies are throwing literally millions of American workers out of the middle class and into a new reality of poverty.
Also, please read this article if you have not already done so. Very illuminating stuff.
