* Overview

Professor Hemp accuses Bush of Domestic Terrorism and dedicates a song to Rainbow FarmIt has been about 6 weeks since the last eLetter -- much longer than the weekly goal that I see as ideal.  In addition I have realized that this web site is in major need of revision, so expect to see some changes in the next month.  In order to achieve these goals I'm making this edition as brief as possible.

I also want to encourage my readers to sample the New Age News which contains hundreds of current articles on drug, socio-economic and environmental issues:

http://www.newagecitizen.com/New_Age_News.htm

Finally let me encourage you to explore all of the links contained in this letter, especially those concerning "9/11" and "Rainbow Farm."  These links containing information that will really make you wonder what the Bush Cabal is really up to.  This should be considered required reading!

* Upcoming Michigan Events

First I want to discuss two upcoming events for Michigan activists living in the Metro Detroit region of Southeast Michigan:

(1) Bruce Cain (AKA Professor Hemp) will be lecturing on the Offshoring of US Jobs 09/28/2003:

Connecting the Dots Between the “Jobless Recovery” and the Offshoring of American Jobs

Sunday September 28th
5:30 PM
The Green House
22757 Woodward, Suite 210
Ferndale, MI 48220
Admission: Free

Click here to print and distribute the flyer which also contains a map
http://www.newagecitizen.com/PDF/Offshoring%20Flyer%20030928.pdf

This is keeping with the original intent of this website to cover a broader spectrum of social and environmental issues.  This is a great opportunity to meet the webmaster for New Age Citizen and ask questions about Offshoring and Drug Policy.

The Webmaster for www.NewAgeCitizen.com will be arguing that the “jobless recovery” is a direct result of the offshoring of millions of white and blue collar jobs. This “jobless recovery” is fundamentally different from all past recessions because these jobs, that are being lost to offshoring, are NEVER going to come back.  He will argue that the public’s complacency is a direct result of the fact that both media and government are now essentially controlled by the very multinational corporations that are benefiting from the elimination of American jobs If you are interested in stopping the exodus of American jobs, to third world countries, then please consider attending. The meeting will end with a planning session to stage a protest against one of
Michigan’s largest offshoring corporations.

(2) There will be a Drug Policy forum in Detroit in October, but please consider attending wearing a Green Arm Band:

Why wear a Green Arm Band?  This is explained in the following letter I sent to one of the organizers, Cynthia Heenan:

Cynthia Heenan:

Once again I feel compelled to respond to your email. First let me assure you that I am right there with you when it comes to opposing Patriot Act I/II and all of the disingenuous crap that has been going on down in Central and South America. I'm also very aware of how the Drug War is being used to whittle away at the Bill of Rights. In the 9 years that I published "New Age Patriot" there was probably not a single issue where most of the topics were not addressed in some manner. Frankly, if it were up to me I would just legalize ALL of the drugs and call it a victory. Peyote anyone? But I am fully aware that most Americans do NOT share my view at this point in time. Perhaps after the next terrorist attack I'll gather a few more supporters since this would essentially deprive terrorists of over 50% of their revenue.

Please read the following article for more information on this topic:
http://www.newagecitizen.com/Editorials/v8n1NuclearTerrorism.htm

But I have a bit of a problem when you say "legalizing Marijuana is not and, will not be, the tail that wags the dog." By making this statement you are basically saying that Marijuana Legalization is a small side issue that should never be a primary focus of a Drug Policy Conference. I could not disagree more.

As I have previously stated -- If current trends continue a MAJORITY of American voters will be in favor of complete Re-Legalization no later than 2012. In addition numerous countries (e.g., Canada, Portugal, Great Britain, Amsterdam, India, Spain, Germany, Switzerland . . .) have already gone a long way towards Re-Legalization of Marijuana and a blatant rejection of the United States "Drug War" mythology.

And no one is saying Re-Legalization should be the only topic of discussion at future Drug Reform events. But it should become A primary topic at ALL future Drug Reform events: at least until the goal of Re-Legalization is achieved. And I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that is what happens.

So we should thank the Heenan's, Stroup's and Nadleman's of the world for their efforts. But we should not let them divert us from the goal of Re-Legalization which has never been more achievable since the Marijuana Tax Act was passed nearly 65 years ago. We cannot allow them to divert or delay the achievement of this victory which will soon be well within our grasp.

So, Please. Go to these events. Thank them for their efforts. But if you agree with what I am saying please wear a green arm band to all future Drug Reform events. This will show that you too, want Re-Legalization to become a primary topic for every future Drug Reform event until victory is ours.

Let's get real.

These are just my thoughts.

Yours in Freedom,

Bruce W. Cain (aka Professor Hemp)

Second Anniversary of "9/11" and the Rainbow Farm Massacre

There are still many questions waiting to be answered in relationship to both "9/11" and the Rainbow Farm Massacre.  Please take the time to read these articles on these two important subjects:

On "9/11"

It is very difficult to believe the Bush version of "9/11" after reading either or these stories.

The 9/11 attacks gave the US an ideal pretext to use force to secure its global domination

On the Rainbow Farm Massacre

The October Issue of Playboy had a very good article on Rainbow Farm which can be found at the following link:

http://www.mapinc.org/drugnews/v03.n1305.a07.html

"When Teter arrived on the scene, Crosslin saw then-attorney general Jennifer Granholm, a Democrat who is now Michigan's governor, in the car with him. Teter immediately got an injunction banning all future festivals. By the time Crosslin and Rohn were bailed out of jail, Teter had already filed for forfeiture of Rainbow Farm."  [Playboy, October 2003, Page 160]

OK, in the 9 years that I published New Age Patriot I have had conversations with many growers who ended up at the wrong end of a warrant. But none of them were blessed by the personal presence of Jennifer -- now our governor. So, what is going on here?

What was the extent of her involvement?
Was she responsible for the injunction?
Who asked that she be present?
Did it come from Engler?
Did Engler get prodded from the federal level (e.g., from someone
within the Bush Administration)?
I think these issue badly need to be explored and clarified.
Could this have been part of a Engler or Bush Administration's covert operation to quell free speech and send a setback to Hemp Activism in Michigan?

Donate to New Age Citizen and receive the NAC Multimedia CD

As usual, we are also looking for your donations to help keep NAC moving forward with real meaningful drug policy reform.  For just $19.95 you can become a NAC member and receive the NAC Multimedia CD (more information below).  One of things we would like to purchase is Adobe Acrobat so the "NAC News", which we provide for free, can be distributed in the universal *.PDF format -- that alone is over $200.00.

The last thing I would like to bring up is another smaller project: to get a handle on who is financing the Drug Reform movement.  My first attempt at this has been to request assistance from the Threshold Foundation (Soro's group) but so far they have ignored my requests -- something that won't surprise most activists.  DPA and Soros have exhibited an incredible arrogance towards the activists community in the past.  I'm hoping that there are existent articles or websites that have already collected this information.  If any of you have found articles that shed light on the money sources of any reform organizations (NORML, DPA, MPP), please send me an email.  The goal of this mini-project is to make activists aware of who are the major backers of Drug Reform both in the United States and around the world -- and bring some accountability to their progress or lack thereof.

We at NAC applaud everyone's efforts, however, we also want to see American Adults growing their own Marijuana no later than 2012.  What we don't want to see is an institutionalization of the Drug Reform movement which ultimately turns the "Road to Re-Legalization of Cannabis" into the "Never Ending Story."  If you project the recent Zogby Poll Data from 1986 and 2003, then we should reach a 50% majority no later than 2003.
