The Million Marijuana March (MMM) Saturday, May 1st, 2004 Over 100 Marches Around the World The Million Marijuana March is an International Event that protests Cannabis Prohibition. The event has been ongoing for a number of years and is simultaneously celebrated in over 100 sites around the globe. New Age Patriot had promoted a similar event, between 1990 and 1995, which was called "International Drug Policy Day".
In my mind this International strategy can become a very potent tool for ending the Drug War throughout the planet. I highly recommend getting involved by consulting the site listing below and making contact with the respective organizers. This year most marches and events will occur on Saturday, May 1st, 2004.
Now some people have criticized the main orgainizer, Dana Beal, for placing too much emphasis on Ibogaine - a herbal treatment that has been effective in alleviating heroin addiction. I personally have no problem with discussing Ibogaine as a event topic, however, the main focus needs to be centered on Marijuana Re-Legalization. Otherwise it should be called the Million Ibogaine March . . . though I don't think that would attract the same crowd.
