Over the last few months the media has been playing up the “Mexican Drug
Cartel War” in order to lull the public into what we will call the Obama
solution. I am here today to say that this is totally unnecessary and
that a much better solution is just staring us all in the face. But the
Corporate Controlled Media won’t allow the public to give serious
consideration to this alternative so I am filling that gap with this
video on March 25th, 2009.
The superior solution is Marijuana Re-Legalization, specifically through
implementation of the MERP Model. And if I can convince you then please
spread the message far and wide so that Obama is not allowed to start a
completely unnecessary war along the Mexican-American border.
First consider a hypothetical situation. You are being chased by a huge
mad dog and you have 2 choices. One, you could stand you ground and
fight the dog. Or, two, you could slip inside a nearby room and simply
close the door. Obama’s plan can be compared to “fighting the dog,”
whereas my plan, the immediate implementation of the MERP Model, could
be compared to simply “closing the door.” I think it will become
apparent that “closing the door” has two incredible advantages: (1) you
won’t get hurt and (2) you will easily be able to resolve the problem by
retrieving your gun or calling animal control
Of course the “mad dog” in this analogy would be the Mexican Drug
Cartels who have infiltrated over 230 American cities and have shown
themselves to be as well equipped as our own military forces. Perhaps
that is because we actually gave military training to the most dangerous
Cartel Drug Gang: the Zetas. In any case the Mexican Drug Cartels are a
most formidable opponent indeed. Of course the only reason they are able
to afford these weapons is because they are sending about 38 Billion, in
United States consumer dollars, south to Mexico each and every year
According to Lou Dobbs, Obama’s “fighting the dog” plan consists of the
following:
The plan calls for sending 100 ATF agents to the southwest border,
adding 16 new DEA positions, tripling the number of intelligence
analysts and stepping up screening of railcars headed southbound to
Mexico, part of the effort to stop the flow of drugs and keep violence
from further spinning out of control.
Here’s how Iraqi War correspondent Michael Ware accessed Obama’s
proposed plan:
“Well, you certainly have to applaud any measure. But I have to say,
from what I've seen so far in Mexico -- and I'm about to be spending a
lot more time there -- this is a drop in the bucket, finger in the dike
stuff.
He then basically concluded that in order to fight 100,000 highly
militarized drug cartel members, we would have to intervene militarily
or legalize the drugs. Or as he put it:
“You either legalize these things, and cut the demand, or you're going
to have to intervene.”
Now any thinking American should now realize that Obama’s “fighting the
dog “ plan will result in numerous US casualties and there is very
little chance that it will destabilized the Mexican Drug Cartels.
But we don’t have to legalize all drugs: just Marijuana. Let me briefly
explain:
70 percent of the Mexican Drug Cartel profits ($38 billion a year) are
generated from the sale of Marijuana in the United States. So if you
simply allow personal cultivation, by American Citizens, the Mexican
Drug Cartels would literally be eliminated within weeks. And without
even regulating or taxing Marijuana it would keep at least $27 Billion
dollars in the US economy each year after Marijuana Re-Legalization is
fully implemented.
Now in order for this to work we have to implement a Model for
Re-Legalization that completely takes the “black market” profit out of
the Marijuana market. There is only one plan that will effectively do
this and it is known as the MERP Model. What sets this model apart from
all other models is the fact that it allows unlimited personal
cultivation by all American Citizens.
By doing this Americans can grown their own, for free, and forever
deprive the Mexican Drug Cartels of the $300 to $500 an ounce that
Americans are currently paying. With 70 percent of their profits gone
they will quickly go out of business and nearly 27 billion dollars will
stay in the United States each year following the implementation of the
MERP Model.
I have already produced a number of videos that explain the merits of
the MERP Model in much greater detail and also describes how you can get
involved in order to make Marijuana Re-Legalization a reality: possibly
before the end of 2009.
You should also know that I have challenged many of the other “drug
reform organizations,” such as the “Marijuana Policy Project” and the
“Drug Policy Alliance” to come up with a better solutions to this
problem. So far they have refused to accept this challenge.
As soon as you are done watching this video, there is something that I
want you to do each week until Marijuana is Re-Legalized under the MERP
Model.
I want you to call Obama and their Federal Representatives and tell them
not to move forward with Obama’s “militarist” solution to the “Border
Cartel Drug Wars.” Then demand that they Re-Legalize Marijuana
immediately, by implementing the MERP model. Implementing MERP will
guarantee the destruction of the Mexican Drug Cartels without
sacrificing even a “pennies” worth of our invaluable blood or treasure.
And unlike President Obama’s “plan” MERP will not cost the taxpayers a
penny and it is guaranteed to end the violence once and for ever. This
is a far better alternative to Obama’s plan which military expert Ware
said had almost to chance of succeeding.
Here are the numbers to call:
Federal House and Senate
(202) 224-3121
Office of the President
(202) 456-1111
Also go to MERP Headquarters often to see what else you an do help with
the implementation of the MERP Model:
I would also consider Obama’s rejection of this superior and elegant
solution to signal an allegiance to the Global Elitists rather than to
the American People. There is absolutely no logical argument Obama could
possibly put forward that would negate the benefits of immediately
implementing the MERP Model. Implementing MERP is a “game changing” move
that will leave every honest citizen, of both Mexico and the United
States, far better off than if they are forced to accept Obama’s less
effective and more violent alternative.
We need to send a message to Obama that is a bit stronger that “Yes We
Can.” What we need to do is say Yes We Demand the Immediate
Re-Legalization of Marijuana under MERP or you’re not serving a second
term in office. Current circumstances demand quick and decisive action
from our President and Congress.
What it really boils down to is this President Obama. There is
absolutely no need to “fight the dog” when Re-Legalizing Marijuana will
close the doors on both Marijuana Prohibition and the Mexican Drug
Cartels. It takes care of both problems without the use of violence,
money or the loss of life. How can you possibly argue against that?
When the going was hairy in Iraq, CNN appointed foreign correspondent
Michael Ware to cover the carnage and idiocy passing for foreign policy
in the Bush administration. Michael Ware was not part of the officially
okayed bunch of clowns the Bush administration “embedded” with the US
troops and told what to say and how to say it. Ware never shied from
letting it be known (which was often) when he thought the US generals
were off base and doing our troops a disservice.
Ware has an Australian accent, but he had lived in Baghdad since before
the US invasion. He is now 40 years old and CNN has sent him to Mexico
to have a look-see at the drug war.
Last night, Michael Ware reported back to Wolf Blitzer in CNN’s
Situation Room. Blitzer asked if the beefing up of the US border with
Mexico would make a difference.
Ware said, “Well, you certainly have to applaud any measure. But I have
to say, from what I've seen so far in Mexico -- and I'm about to be
spending a lot more time there -- this is a drop in the bucket, finger
in the dike stuff.
“I mean let's not forget what's driving this war. It's two things. One
is the profit motive of the cartels. And beefing up the border even more
hasn't stopped them so far. When they closed the routes through Florida
and the Caribbean for the Colombian cartels, that's when the Mexican
cartels took over and said we'll get it in.
“I don't see that being stopped. We can disrupt it, make business more
expensive, but it's not going to stop because they have the other
coastline—the land border and they’ll never shut that tight.
“Have you seen the drug subs? The guerrillas in Colombia actually built
drug submarines that were able to skim just under the surface of the
water, carrying as much as a ton of cocaine. And in the last couple of
years, there's been increasing interceptions of those.”
Ware estimates the drug cartels have 100,000 foot soldiers. These are
well-armed troops with fully automatic weapons -- grenades and .50
caliber Barrett sniper rifles. “Now, these are a military weapon that
I've only ever seen in the hands of the Marines and the U.S. Army,” Ware
said.
Blitzer asked for a comparison between the troops in Iraq and the drug
cartel troops in Mexico. Ware said, “ Well, I'm very shy of making
comparisons between a holy war or a political insurgency in Iraq and a
profit-motivated drug war in Mexico.
“However, I have to say, when I was in Juarez, the city that's right on
the border with El Paso, the front line town, I couldn't shake the
feeling that I was in the midst of an insurgency.”
Blitzer asked about the Mexican military, if it doesn’t have the
capability to deal with the drug cartels.
Ware said, “Oh, Wolf -- Wolf, please. Please. Look, already the Mexican
military has as many as 45,000 troops in the field, in their own
country, fighting their own citizens. Now, this is a military trained
like anyone else's military, to defend the sovereign territory of their
country. And now they're being turned into super armed policemen,
because you can't trust the local police. They're riddled with
corruption. You can't...”
Blitzer cut in saying, “But you're not really saying, are you, Michael,
that you -- you think the United States should send in thousands of
American troops onto sovereign Mexican soil to fight this war?”
Ware answered, “Well, good -- heaven forbid that that should ever
happen. But you either legalize these things and cut the demand or
you're going to have to intervene. Now, what I'm looking to the White
House and President Obama for is a third way. Now, that's what he's
going to have to find -- some measure between those two things, because
America is responsible for this war, Wolf. It's American demand for the
illicit drugs that's fueling it. It's being fought on both sides with
American weapons. And it's been neglected by the United States pretty
much since 9/11.”
Blitzer noted that secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be in Mexico
later this week; the president is planning a trip next month; and
Homeland Security secretary Janet Napolitano is going to confab with the
Calderon government soon. Blitzer said he assumes they’ll all come up
with some sort of new strategy.
Ware said Admiral Stavridis (head of Southern Command) went to Mexico a
couple weeks ago after which he briefed President Obama.
As Blitzer noted, the big sign that something big is brewing in Mexico
is that CNN sent Michael Ware to cover it.
And yes, of course, Ware is right on the money: The drug problem is
totally due to American demand for illicit drugs.

Global Marijuana March to make the immediate implementation of the MERP
Model a primary focus of the event.
Call President Obama and your Representatives and demand:
(1) Immediate clemency for Marc Emery and
(2) Immediate implementation of the MERP Model through an Emergency
