How to Make Marijuana Free and Legal for For All Adults Within A Year: Introduction to Your Involvement in the MERP Movement to Re-Legalize Marijuana Throughout the United States and the Planet

I have a plan to Re-Legalize Marijuana for every adult American Citizen that could be implemented immediately. I am hoping to have it accomplished within the next twelve months: with your help, of course.
If you would read on I will describe immediate actions that we can all take, beginning today, to get the ball rolling on a strategy to Re-Legalize Marijuana under what is known as the MERP Model.
Please join with me to force our government to recognize the will of a recent and growing majority of American Citizens: that are increasingly demanding the right to cultivate there own Cannabis (e.g., Marijuana).
I want you to be able to grow all the Marijuana that you would like, without any taxation, regulation or other forms of government interference. And I challenge anyone -- within the Government, Law Enforcement, the Moneyed Drug Reform Organizations etc. -- to give me a logical reason as to why this should not immediately come to pass.
The goal of the MERP Model is to allow each adult, throughout the planet, to grow all of the Marijuana that they wish (e.g., for smoking, flour, tinctures etc.) without any taxation, regulation or other government interference.
The purpose of this article is to provide a overview of the MERP Model and part of the strategy that will be employed to make sure that it is implemented in a timely fashion: hopefully in less than 12 months from July 4th, 2009.
Once you have read through this overview I would then encourage you to visit "MERP Headquarters" often, in order to understand the more complex underlying issues and to learn more about what YOU can do to help with the implementation of this superior model for Re-Legalizing Marijuana.

While the MERP Model does not preclude the issuance of commercial licenses the right of individuals to grow unlimited amount of their own Marijuana will be treated as a sacred inalienable liberty. What I have briefly described is what I like to call the "MERP" Model. Unlike the (1) Prohibitionist Model, the (2) Medical Marijuana Model, or what appears to be on the horizon -- a (3) Government Dispensary Model -- the MERP Model has many distinct advantages:
(1) MERP will destroy the Mexican Drug Cartels within weeks of its implementation.
(2) MERP will insure that people that require Marijuana for medicine will be able to grow their own for free outside or at nominal rates under lamps, if they decide to grow it themselves.
(3) MERP will deprive the same governments that have been arresting and imprisoning us for decades, to now profit from monopolizing the sale, taxation and regulation of our Marijuana through what could briefly be described as a "Government Dispensary Model."
(4) MERP will provide a counterbalance to the liberties lost in the wake of 911 through implementation of the Patriot Acts(1&2) etc.
(5) MERP will instantly remove all obstacles currently standing in the way of utilizing Marijuana for industrial, agricultural and other applications that will serve the needs of the People throughout the planet.
Next let me share my "insiders insights" as to why the Moneyed Drug Reform Organizations appear to have adopted, what I have labeled, the "Government Dispensary Model."
As things stand today all of the moneyed organizations (e.g., NORML, Drug Policy Alliance, Marijuana Policy Project etc.) appear to have embraced what I call the Government Dispensary Model.

I contend that the Government Dispensary Model, which they support, will not achieve the five advantages of the MERP model which I have just discussed (above) The Government Dispensary Model will also effectively make the Federal Government your new "Dealer." Doesn't it seem ironic that the same government that was busting you for smoking Marijuana, for the last 70 plus years, now wants to effectively become your local drug dealer?

If you feel as I do -- regardless of whether you are a consumer of Marijuana yourself -- you can easily become part of the MERP Movement to Re-Legalize Marijuana through national/international implementation of the MERP Model.
Here is all you have to do in order to become part of the MERP Movement to Re-Legalize Marijuana.
(1) Call/Write President Obama and all 3 of your Federal Representatives each week. and tell them (or write them) the following:
[Note: You will probably have to cut and paste the following text into a text editor (e.g., Notepad) to first make any modifications or additions. Then paste the finished letter into the email or online form for your respective representatives.]
Senator/Representative {Name}:
"I would like to know if we can count on you to support a model for the Re-Legalization of Marijuana known as MERP.
The bottom line is that Marijuana is relatively safer than most legal drugs, including aspirin, and it is abundantly clear that that Marijuana Prohibition has never served the greater good of average American Citizens. It only serves the interests of the larger Prison Industrial Complex (Police Departments, Drug Testing Labs, Attorneys, Judges etc.) and has unnecessarily criminalized millions of otherwise law abiding American Citizens.
The madness must stop right now if you expect to remain in office. Americans supporting Marijuana Re-Legalization are now the majority and we fully expect that you will now represent the interests of that constituency.

I then want you to send a letter (and email) to the following addresses stating whether or not you are going to sponsor or support legislation to implement the MERP Model immediately.

Your responses will then be placed on line, in order of State, so your constituents can understand exactly how you feel about implementing the MERP Model: hopefully before the end of 2009.
Please compose the hardcopy letter on official letterhead.
If you will not support MERP then please describe, in your letter, what form of Marijuana Policy you do currently support and how you think it would better achieve the following objectives MERP would resolve:

I would expect at least as much urgency -- for the implementation of the MERP Model -- as you mustered when you "ripped off" the American People through the passage of the TARP Trillion Dollar Corporate Bailout on October 3rd, 2008.
So we expect that this can be accomplished in a matter of weeks. The urgency of TARP was to "supposedly" keep the banks solvent. The urgency of MERP is to destroy the Mexican Drug Cartels -- and the wake of corruption that it brings -- without expending any additional "blood or treasure" when it is absolutely unnecessary. Do you understand?
Your two main tasks are to (1) Completely remove Marijuana from the "Controlled Substances Act of 1970" and (2) immediately withdraw from all UN (and other) agreements that place any constraints on the unregulated, untaxed cultivation of Marijuana by adults over the age of 18.
You should be aware that I will not vote for you, the next time you come up for re-election, unless the MERP Model is fully implemented throughout the United States. So if you are up for election, in November 2010, you had better get moving immediately. The sooner this is resolved, the more likely it is that you will remain an incumbent."

Once you’ve done all these things let me commend you for becoming part of the “grass roots” movement to Legalize Marijuana under the MERP Model. The era of Marijuana Prohibition is about to end. The time for action begins now.
While some of these suggestions are geared toward changing policy in the United States you are encouraged to transpose these suggestions to suit the requirements of your individual country.

(8) Throw a House Party for your friends to further promote the MERP Model.
If you have a laptop, with internet connectivity, you can connect the laptop to your large screen TV and show MERP videos, or Marijuana Videos (Comedy's, Documentaries) etc. Then spend some time casually discussing local strategies to further promote the MERP Model.
