Just finished my new video in the "New Agenda for America" series. In
this video I explain how exponential population growth is the most
important argument for a 20-year moratorium on both Legal and Illegal
Immigration.
If you agree with what I have to say, in this video, I encourage you to
help make this baby go viral. Send it to friends. Post the link at your
website. Begin passing out our mini-flyers . . .
Here is part of the Lou Dobbs transcript quoted in the video:
BILL TUCKER, CNN CORRESPONDENT
(voice-over): There is no
shortage of students studying for careers in Math and Science. There is
a shortage of jobs. That's the simply bottom line finding of a new study
from the Urban Institute.
The study shows that between 1985 and 2000 435,000 U.S. citizens and
permanent residents a year graduated with Bachelors, Masters, and
Doctoral degrees in Science and Engineering. That's three times the
number of jobs in Science and Engineering added per year, 150,000 during
that time.
Separately Michael Teitelbaum at the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation told
Congress last week that neither he nor a separate study by the RAND
Corporation can find any evidence of worker shortages. These studies are
not anomalies.
VIVEK WADHWA, HARVARD UNIVERSITY: Bottom line is that all of our
research at Duke and now at Harvard shows the same thing. That there is
no shortage of engineers; there's no shortage of scientists. Companies
aren't going abroad because of skills. They're going abroad because it's
cheaper.
TUCKER: As a result, Wadhwa says that more than half of the engineering
graduate students at Duke don't pursue engineering as a career and there
is another indicator that the market is anything but short of scientists
and engineers.
PAUL ALMEIDA, DEPT. FOR PROF. EMPLOYEES, AFL-CIO: We should be trying to
figure out how to incentivize (ph) students to advance in these Math and
Science areas. It's clearly that there is no shortage. If there is a
shortage, the supply and demand wages would be going up in these areas.
TUCKER: Wages in the science and engineering fields over the last five
years when adjusted for inflation have been basically flat.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
TUCKER: Now Lou, that's the Urban Institute, the Alfred P. Sloan (ph)
Foundation, Duke, Harvard, the RAND Corporation. Studies done
independently of each other, different researches, different funding,
all reaching the same basic conclusion that there is no worker shortage.
Lou, the problem is not a lack of workers. The problem these studies all
conclude is a lack of companies hiring them. And as we've reported many,
many times on this program those companies either off-shore the work or
as you mentioned at the top, demand more H-1B visas and then pay those
workers less -- Lou.
DOBBS: We've been reporting on this issue, the exporting of American
jobs, the outsourcing of American jobs, middle class jobs, for four
years. And point of fact, the idea that all of these highly regarded,
highly respected institutions have found the same thing that we have
reported her for four years. Congress just last week, the subcommittee
on technology and innovation, suggesting that 30 to 40 percent of
American jobs now are at risk of being outsourced, in addition to the
H-1B problem.
TUCKER: Right.
DOBBS: Let's put this in some context. Let's just deal with that H-1B
program, which all of these companies want to bring those foreign
workers in under. What's the number of Indian companies that are using
H-1B visas, seeking H-1B visas for the purpose of outsourcing those jobs
right here in the United States?
TUCKER: Well five of the top six users of the H-1B visa program, Lou, as
you well know, are Indian companies.
DOBBS: Yes I did, but I wanted because I'm in Seattle, Washington,
tonight Bill Tucker, and I thank you very much -- I want to repeat that
just for the purpose, the benefit, the illumination, the education, the
enlightenment of one of the -- this city's most famous citizens,
Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates. Bill Gates is among those calling for
more H-1B visas. In fact, Bill Gates wants an unlimited number of H-1B
visas. And we really think it's important that he be brought up-to-date
on this issue. Gates testified before a Senate committee in March -- by
the way, he was the only witness and there was only one fellow chariot
-- that was Senator Ted Kennedy -- and Gates said the United States
should allow, as he put it, an infinite number of foreign workers. We
can't get above infinite no matter what we do.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
BILL GATES, MICROSOFT CHAIRMAN: We have to welcome the great minds in
this world, not shut them out of our country. Unfortunately, our
immigration policies are driving away the world's best and brightest
precisely when we need them the most.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
DOBBS: Bill Gates, you just heard the RAND Corporation, the Urban
Institute, Harvard University, come on and look at the facts. Most of
those H-1B visas are being used by Indian companies seeking to outsource
jobs at a very, very reduced wage. In fact, most of the H-1B computer
professionals in this country are brought in at the lowest skill levels;
about half of the H-1B visa computer professionals recently admitted to
the United States, in fact during the (INAUDIBLE) entry level salaries,
so much for the advanced, best minds. These are entry level jobs, not
the highly skilled jobs seeking those H-1B visas.
So Mr. Gates, I certainly hope that you and I can have a discussion on
that. I'm sure that you would be delighted to do that, but I'm going to
ask for something less than an infinite number of H- 1B visas and when
we compromise, as a matter of fact, I want to return to two years ago
levels.
Comment from Bruce Cain: But why
even allow 65,000 H-1B Visas a year when we already have millions of
unemployed Americans that have been thrown to the curb in order to bring
in cheap foreign labor since the "dot com" crash in 2000. Isn't a
20-year moratorium a better idea Lou?
Now a follow-up to our reports on how American technology companies are
helping communist China crack down on its own citizens.
DOBBS: The three leading
Republican presidential candidates tonight are in Michigan in advance of
tomorrow's primary election. The focus is on jobs. Michigan, of course,
has been hard-hit on employment that lost jobs in Michigan for seven
years in a row. As Christine Romans now reports, Michigan's shrinking
middle class tax base and fewer job opportunities are creating serious
challenges for that state's public education system.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
ROMANS (voice-over): Detroit is a place where the auto jobs are
disappearing and the public schools are struggling with the lowest
graduation rates in the country. It's a vicious cycle.
CINDY BROWN, CENTER FOR AMERICAN PROGRESS: You just can't make new
investments in education when your revenue base is declining because of
your economy.
ROMANS: Fewer jobs mean fewer opportunities for those who graduate. And
as the tax base erodes, so does the revenue needed to shore up failing
schools and prepare students for a global economy, a global economy that
has decimated the state's middle class manufacturing base.
Michigan's unemployment rate is
the highest in the nation, 7.4 percent according to the Labor
Department. Michigan has lost
jobs for seven straight years, the longest losing streak since the Great
Depression, 450,000 jobs gone, according to researchers at the
University of Michigan.
DONALD GRIMES, UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN:
We're going to lose jobs again
in 2008. People talk about the one-state recession. You could almost say
Michigan's been in a one-state depression.
ROMANS: The state rapidly losing high-paying jobs in autos,
manufacturing, construction, and gaining a smaller number of jobs in
education, services and hospitality. According to Michigan economists,
those jobs pay half, at best, what the jobs that are lost paid.
Michigan's governor calls her
state the epicenter of the global shift of manufacturing jobs and blames
Washington.
Bruce Cain comments: Yet she,
like many other state governors, outsource many state jobs to foreign
H1-Bs, which makes her part of the problem, as far as I am concerned.
She is also a big supporter of bringing more foreigners into the state,
basically displacing Michigan citizens, who no longer have decent paying
jobs.
GOV. JENNIFER GRANHOLM
(D), MICHIGAN: We're mad as hell. We are mad as hell at these unfair
trade agreements.
ROMANS: Others say the causes are much more complicated. Bad mistakes
and industry, health care costs, whatever the reason, most agree when
those jobs go, so do opportunities and resources for education.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
ROMANS: A new report from "Education Week" magazine gives public schools
in Michigan as a whole a grade of C. But last year, the same group
estimated only a quarter of Detroit freshmen graduate four years later.
The school district says it's more like 61 percent. Either way, unless
the economy improves, there is not much hope for ailing public schools
especially in those struggling big cities.
DOBBS: We just heard Governor
Granholm in your report say they're mad as hell. But think about what
that state is putting up with. I understand Governor Granholm is a
Democrat. I understand that there are lots of issues there. But for the
people of Michigan to tolerate these two political parties basically
telling them to go to hell when they have the leading unemployment rate
in the country, when they have had the longest standing loss of jobs of
any state in this country, there's something wrong with the people in
Michigan if they put up with this kind of nonsense.
There's sure as the dickens something wrong with their elected
representatives to put up with this. And there's something wrong with
those two political parties to look at that kind of pain, that kind of
suffering, the impact of these idiotic faith-based trade policies, by
the way, initiated by both President Clinton and President Bush and
carried out to a vengeance by this president. There's something wrong
when all this is just being allowed to stand. This should not stand in
the United States of America.
ROMANS: Of all that pain and suffering that you mentioned, Lou, of that
there is absolutely no doubt on the campaign trail, among the people in
Michigan, among the politicians on both sides of the debate about how
the global economy and outsourcing and manufacturing and unfair trade
policies, how all that plays out, there is agreement on that.
DOBBS: And look at the candidates sitting in Michigan. Mitt Romney,
Senator John McCain talking
about he's the biggest free-trader in the country. Well glory be, how in
the heck a man can sit there and say that he is going to bring change,
as Senator McCain has, to Washington when he simply emulates the
policies that have led Michigan and working men and women all over this
country into these straits is, to me, inexplicable and inexcusable.
ROMANS: You have to hope that after Tuesday on Wednesday that around the
country people are still talking about the problems in Michigan and
what's causing them, Lou, so that other places where the manufacturing
base is declining we don't see the same sort of fallout.
DOBBS: Well I can guarantee everybody watching this broadcast will be
focusing on the people in Michigan long after that primary is over and
the idiotic policies that have been pursued here. Thank you very much,
Christine Romans.
I began seeing this trend, towards Globalization, as a Freshmen at
Michigan State University back in 1972. I recall -- even this far back
-- thinking how odd it was that over 50% of the TA's (Teaching
Assistants) were foreign and most were Chinese. As a student at
MSU's "James Madison University" I also recall a distinct focus on the
inevitability of globalization. "James Madison" was a pre-law
curriculum for lawyers and those interested in international policy
studies. But it has not been till fairly
recently that I began understanding the full scope of the economic
betrayal that was actually began playing out in our universities some 35
years ago.
One epiphany occurred after watching a recent "Lou Dobbs" segment where
an attorney was shown doing a presentation before a group of employers.
He was describing how they could avoid hiring American workers.
This really struck home for me as my IT career was shattered in
October 2000 after I had the audacity to carry my families health
insurance through work. Shortly after they used the "at will"
employment laws to create a paper trail in order to fabricate a reason
to fire me. Weeks later they replaced me with a much younger foreign H1B
worker.
I still recall my last minutes as an employee at this organization.
I was returning from a short medical leave at the time and Pat called to
remind me to stop by her office, before returning to my office.
Pat always seemed to be a great associate, but my, my . . . was I in for
a surprise. The first clue should have been clear when I stopped
to drop my coat off at my office. When I got there I noticed that
someone else was now occupying my office. No one had yet "checked
in" yet it was clear that my office had been rearranged. I dismissed the
clue and proceeded to Pat's office.
Pat greeted me, as I entered her office, and said that the CFO, Gary,
wanted to meet with me before I went back to my office. This is
where things got surrealistic.
I was asked to sit across from Gary and Pat, to which I gleefully
complied. Then my world collapsed. Pat dropped the bomb.
'As of this minute you are no longer an employee of our organization.
Your health benefits will end at midnight. You are welcome to
apply for Unemployment but should know that we have never paid an
unemployment claim during our entire 14 years of existence.'
I was in shock. About one year earlier I had talked to both Pat
and Gary about carrying my families Health Insurance because my wife
wanted to pursue a part time position, which would require that she
could no longer carry the Health Insurance through her employer.
At the time they both assured me that I was a valued employee and that I
had nothing to worry about. Funny how much can change in a
year.
So now I was out of money and would no longer have medical insurance
to protect my family: myself, my wife and my two children. Going
from 2 full time incomes to 1 part time income would make it impossible
to afford the COBRA insurance plan that would still cost nearly $1,000
each month. Pat and
Gary had previously gathered all my belongings, from my office, and
placed them in a couple of boxes. They also had a few of my
plants. I recall telling them to keep the stuff and walked out of
the building in an utter state of shock.
I called my wife about an hour later after attempting to regain my
composure. She had tried to call my office but the person who
answered, at my office phone, spoke such broken English that she could
barely understand him. I proceeded to share the bad news.
My first epiphany occurred about a year later at a Drug Reform
meeting that I had long been a part. A fellow reformist, Tim,
asking how the job hunt was going. I replied that none of my
hundreds of resumes had yet resulted in a single job. Tim laughed
and said you'll be lucky to find anything at your age. Tim knew
what he was talking about as he sold Health Insurance Policies to Mid to
Large sized Corporations. "Don't you know that the cost of
providing you with Health Insurance doubles between the ages of 35 and
50? Do you really think an employer is going to pay and extra
$6,000 a year for you (I was then 47 years old), when they can just save
the money by hiring a "20 something." And odds are it will be a foreign
worker"
So it finally sunk in: I was fired because of my age. And the
foreign replacement would save the company both in lower wages and much
lower benefits. Though I do believe Tim's assertions, I
found it interesting that nowhere could I find any citation that would
act as a "smoking gun" for Tim's assertion.
But worst of all, it became apparent that it was not just this
company that was betraying it's American Workers. Virtually all
companies were doing the very same thing. And somehow this "silent
agenda" worked its magic for years before American Workers began to
realize that their own government was behind the plan.
Well, enough about me for the moment. In the years that
followed millions of Americans were "treated" to similar firings.
Welcome to the new racism: Age Discrimination.
In my state, of Michigan, hundreds of thousands of American workers
were treated to a similar fate as the car manufactures began offshoring
their jobs to Mexico, China and India etc. soon after the new
millennium. And it should be clear
to everyone, at this point, that the destruction of American jobs has
just begun.
Frankly, I think the support for Ron Paul -- and the
denouncement of the 2-Party system -- is a direct result of American
workers waking up to this Tsunami being waged by
Multi-National Corporations such as Ford, GM, GE, ADM etc.
Unfortunately it is these same Multi-National Corporations that are
backing most of the 2008 Presidential Candidates, so don't expect any
"turnabout" in 2009. The 2008 Presidential election is a fraud and
I believe the American People are finally waking up to this fact.
You may have noticed that this is actually becoming a concern among
overpaid network "news readers" such as Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly.
Unfortunately this awakening has only come as American Workers
have either been screwed or they are beginning to recognize that their turn may be
only
months, or years, away.
Well, I just came across another video that will knock you right off
your feet. The series was produced by Vince Wade who I recognize
as a Metro Detroit TV news reporter. In this segment he talks
about how our federal government is subsidizing the education of foreign
students in China and actually encouraging them to destroy our
industrial base in the United States. And, as you might expect,
this policy has the full blessing of the Bush Administration, US
Multi-National Corporations and our Colleges and Universities. The
"New Agenda for America" would place a 20 year moratorium on both legal
and illegal immigration into the United States.
=======================
Shaft our Nation:
U.S. universities are aiding the arms race with China and aiding
America's industrial decline.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27QOTZy_VQM =======================
Here's an excerpt of the text cited in the
video above:
American Higher Education is a
Bargain
These American institutions welcome students from China. I know from
meeting dozens and dozens of university presidents and deans from all
over the United States that American schools welcome students from
China. Rumors to the contrary, more than 60,000 Chinese students are
studying in the United States, and perhaps 20,000 enter our programs
each year. There are half again as many Chinese students in the United
States as in the United Kingdom, three times more than those studying in
Germany, nearly six times those studying in France. In some countries,
there seem to be large numbers of Chinese students, but a second look at
the figures shows that many are in language, vocational, and
undergraduate programs. Most Chinese studying in the United States, in
contrast, are in solid graduate programs. We'll look at the Chinese
student numbers in more detail in a moment.
Point Three. U.S. universities are a great bargain. My saying this may
surprise students (and parents) who are paying expensive tuition bills.
But it is true.
As high as American tuitions can be -- more than $30,000 per year for
some private universities, between $15,000 and $25,000 for state
universities -- the tuition and other fees charged to students only
cover a share of the whole cost of the education. Generalizing for the
state universities in fifty states, tuition covers perhaps one-fourth of
costs. Another way to say this is that a student receives a dollar's
worth of education for perhaps twenty-five cents. The university's other
costs are supported by the taxpayers, which means the farmers and
factory workers and business people of one of the fifty states.
At private universities (again generalizing), tuition and fees generally
cover a little under one-half of the cost. The private university's
endowment (representing donations by alumni and foundations over many
years) pays the rest of the cost.
Another way to look at this is that every student admitted to an
American university receives an (unstated) scholarship, or perhaps a
subsidy, from American society. Every state debates the amount of money
allocated for higher education each year. Every state wants to keep
education fees low to benefit its own low-income students. But every year, states agree to
use tens or hundreds of millions of dollars to subsidize the students
that come from foreign nations. These billions of dollars
demonstrate a true American commitment to diversity and international
understanding.

As Lou Dobbs has been reporting: China could very well become our
next military adversary. And every corporation that moves their plants to
China is complicit in this historic betrayal. You can find
additional video's, in this series at the following link:
Well, like I said, the good news is that many American Citizens are
beginning to wake up to this betrayal. Unfortunately, it appears
that the Bush Administration is getting ready to deal with any
"uprising" through the building of concentration camps that are
currently being made ready throughout the United States. And to
aid with this scenario our Federal Representatives have recently passed
HR1955 -- "The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism
Prevention Act of 2007" -- which could be used to crack down on free speech and legitimate
political opposition by those of us that protest against this
unprecedented betrayal. The House passed the bill by a vote of 404
to 6! The next video sheds light on how HR1955
could be used to stop free speech dead in it's tracks:
So how is (1) my job loss, (2) HR1955, and (3) the offshoring of our
jobs and manufacturing base all tied together? Bush "One"
put it rather succinctly in 1991 when he talked about a "New World
Order." The following video puts all the puzzle pieces together to
show how the ultimate goal is a Global Corporate Government which will
destroy both individual freedom and national sovereignty. And as I
speak your cell phones, your internet connections, your credit card
purchases, your GPS system in your car . . . are all being
integrated into one big electronic prison. And you, my friend, are
already in it. You just don't know it yet.
So how do we untie this Gordian Knot? How do we empower the
Fulong Gong and the Chinese People to dismantle the Totalitarian
Dictatorship which truly describes the Chinese government? How do
we reclaim our jobs, our factories and our Constitution?
We do it by implementing the "New Agenda for America" and hope it
acts as a template for the people of other countries to dismantle their
own fascist corpocracies. The "New Agenda for America" should be
thought of as a wrench that is to be thrown into the Globalist machine
and bring it to a screeching halt. Hopefully this occurs before
they bring more people like myself to a screeching halt.
Katrina, 911, the Dot Com Bubble, the Housing Bubble, the Credit
Bubble, the North American union, the Free Trade Agreement of the
Americas, the Amero, etc. Don't kid yourself; these things are all
connected to a global elite that does not see the American People as
very important any longer. We need to show them just how important
we are and just how insignificant they are about to become.
Ben Franklin gave the world the lightening rod which became a
prerequisite for tall buildings and modern cities. Hopefully my
"New Agenda for America" will give the world a last chance to preserve
our sovereignty, rejuvenate our ecosystems and avoid our movement toward
a Global Totalitarian State.

December did not bring Americans any jobs. To the contrary, the private
sector lost 13,000 jobs from the previous month.
If December is a harbinger of the New Year, it is going to be a bad one.
The past year, hailed by Republican propagandists and "free trade"
economists as proof of globalism’s benefit to Americans, was dismal.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ nonfarm payroll data, the
US "super economy" created a miserable 1,054,000 net new jobs during
2007. [BLS Job Numbers, January 4, 2008]
This is not enough to keep up with population growth—even at the rate
discouraged Americans, unable to find jobs, are dropping out of the work
force—thus the rise in the unemployment rate to 5%.
During the past year, US goods producing industries, continuing a long
trend, lost 374,000 jobs.
But making things was the "old economy." The "new economy" provides
services. Last year 1,428,000 private sector service jobs were created.
Are the "free trade" propagandists correct that these service jobs,
which are our future, are high-end jobs in research and development,
innovation, venture capitalism, information technology, high finance,
and science and engineering where the US allegedly has such a shortage
of scientists and engineers that it must import them from abroad on work
visas?
Not according to the official job statistics.
What occupations provided the 1.4 million service jobs in 2007?
Waitresses and bartenders accounted for 304,200, or 21% of the new
service jobs last year and 29% of the net new jobs.
Health care and social assistance accounted for 478,400, or 33% of the
new service jobs and 45% of the net new jobs. Ambulatory health care and
hospitals accounted for the lion’s share of these jobs.
Professional and business services accounted for 314,000, or 22% of the
new service jobs and 30% of the net new jobs. Are these professional and
business service jobs the high-end jobs of which "free traders" speak?
Decide for yourself. Services to buildings and dwellings account for
53,600 of the jobs. Accounting and bookkeeping services account for
60,500 of the jobs. Architectural and engineering services account for
54,700 of the jobs. Computer systems design and related services account
for 70,400 of the jobs. Management consultants account for 88,400 of the
jobs.
There were more jobs for hospital orderlies than for architects and
engineers. Waitresses and bartenders accounted for as many of last
year’s new jobs as the entirety of professional and business services.
Wholesale and retail trade, transportation, and utilities accounted for
181,000 of 2007’s new jobs.
Where are the rest of the new jobs? There are a few scattered among
arts, entertainment, and recreation, repair and maintenance, personal
and laundry services, and membership associations and organizations.
That’s it.
Keep in mind that the loss of 374,000 goods producing jobs must be
subtracted from the 1,428,000 new service jobs to arrive at the net job
gain figure. The new service jobs account for more than 100% of the net
new jobs.
Keep in mind, too, that
many of the new jobs are not filled by American citizens. Many of the
engineering and science jobs were filled by foreigners brought in on
work visas. Indians and others from abroad can be hired to work in the
US for one-third less. The engineering and science jobs that are
offshored are paid as little as one-fifth of the US salary. Even foreign
nurses are brought in on work visas. No one knows how many of the
hospital orderlies are illegals.
What a super new economy Americans have! US job growth has a distinctly
third world flavor. A very small percentage of 2007’s new jobs required
a college education. Since there are so few jobs for university
graduates, how is "education the answer"?
Where is the benefit to Americans of offshoring? The answer is that the
benefit is confined to a few highly paid executives who receive
multi-million dollar bonuses for increasing profits by offshoring jobs.
The rest of the big money went to Wall Street crooks who sold trusting
people subprime derivatives.
"Free traders" will assert that the benefit is in low Wal-Mart prices.
But the prices are low only because China keeps its currency pegged to
the dollar. Thus, the Chinese currency value falls with the dollar. The
peg will not continue forever. The dollar has lost 60% of its value
against the Euro during the years of the Bush regime. Already China is
having to adjust the peg. When the peg goes, Wal-Mart shoppers will
think they are in Neiman Marcus.
Just as Americans have been betrayed by "their" leaders in government at
all levels, they have been betrayed by business "leaders" on Wall Street
and in the corporations.
US government and business elites have proven themselves to be
Americans’ worst enemies.

The other day I revisited a 35-year old book, "The Limits to Growth." It
addressed the inevitability of a "system collapse" should we not address
exponential growth in population, resource usage, pollution etc.
Unfortunately, in the 35 years that has past absolutely nothing
meaningful has been done.
The following article looks at the real estate "bubble" and makes a
similar observation about the unsustainability of exponential growth:
=====================
"This is arguably the worst financial scandal of all time. It has
reached into the American Household in ways that no scandal has before
it. During the Tech Boom the pumpers were out there with their conflicts
of interest telling you to buy tech stocks, ignoring the fact that the
claimed “30% monthly expansion in the Internet” was a total fraud. Those
who were actually in that space and could see the internals of the
network – thousands of us – knew. A few (myself included) wrote about
it. This does not mean that there were no viable businesses in the space
– there most certainly were. But those who depended on “never-ending
exponential growth” were doomed to failure, and fail they did, taking
trillions of investor’s money with them.
Of course the elite always has ways to "get out of the way" when the day
of reckoning finally comes. The economic instruments (e.g., hedge funds)
always favor the elite and in most instances allow them to stay solvent
in the end. And in most cases the American Working Class is left holding
the bag, so to speak. Over the last 35+ years the elite has artificially
bolstered their stock through labor arbitrage: importing cheap foreign
labor by ignoring our immigration laws and more importantly, the
livelihoods of the millions of Americans who would loose their jobs, or
see their wages melt away, as a result of this strategy. And of course
the exponential growth in bandwidth has allowed any job -- that can be
done in front of a computer screen -- to be outsourced to India, China
etc.
In a nutshell the stockholders of America (e.g., mostly the elite but
also the Great Generation that actually had meaningful pensions and
retirement medical benefits) have sold out the vast and growing masses
of Americans that -- upon their retirement -- will be lucky if they have
over 24K in their 401-K's and accumulated benefits. Good luck living on
that buddy!
Many of the signs were obvious but were obfuscated by a media that is
owned by the same corporations that were working behind the scenes to
defile the American Working Class. When I started a Ford Hospital in
1980 we actually had a pension. But that was quickly replaced with a
401-K and I'm not even sure if Ford provides a match on those 401-K's
any more. This whole program was a rip off as pensions generally placed
what amounted to 8% of your income into the pension plan. With the
401-K's the employee generally put 4% of his income in, to match the 4%
that the company put in. So, even in the best of circumstances, the
worker lost 4% of his income each year. And if he put nothing in -- as
is happening to many Americans -- he lost over 8% each year.
A similar thing happened with immigration. In order for stocks to
appreciate the large corporations decided that the only way to achieve
this was to find "cheaper labor." In point of fact any 1st year
economics student quickly learn that labor is the most expensive element
of production. Had they not done this the stock market would have
crashed a long time ago.
At any rate this is, in part, why I have embarked on pushing this "New
Agenda for America." It intended to throw a wrench into the move toward
a global government: a "New World Order" in the words of Bush I. It will
stop immigrations (Legal and Illegal) in its tracks. It will insulate
the United States from being sold off to foreign interests (e.g., China
and Saudi Arabia) in histories largest "fire sale." If I add a tenth
plank -- Massive Debt Forgiveness of American Workers -- it may just
save you from being thrown out on the street in the next 10 years.
You can watch a 9-minute video below where I give a overview of the
planks that comprise the agenda.
I don't pretend to have all the answers. But I do know that we have dug
ourselves into a very deep hole. I also know that the best way to start
addressing the problem is to stop digging. That, in it's essence, is
what the "New Agenda for America" is about. We need to start challenging
the Presidential Candidates on each and every plank. I predict it will
have them squealing like the corporate pigs they really are. This is the
first step towards a badly needed "Second American Revolution."
And of course one thing we need to recognize is that all
exponentially-based systems inevitably end up in "system collapse." That
goes for population, central banking and many other important constructs
that are in bad need of being challenged. The future of your children
will depend on it.
As the character Beal said in the old movie "Network." "I want you to
get really mad. I want you to go out on your porch an yell at the top
our your voice: I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore.
By the way . . . the 2008 Presidential Election is a fraud. All but Ron
Paul have been paid for -- lock, stock and barrel -- by the global
elite. And as much as I support Ron Paul, his libertarian pragmatism is
not going to get us out of this mess.

The graph
above should tell you more than I could express in a million words.
We MUST put a halt to population growth immediately or we are on our way
to a global system collapse. As you look at the accompanying table
just consider the following fact:
In the last 5 years we added about 600 million people to the
population of planet Earth. Now just consider that is the
cumulative population growth between the beginning of man (about 4.5
Million years ago) and the total world population in 1600 AD. This
means we are adding about 100 million people to the planet each year:
about one third the present population of the United States. Just
how long do you think we can sustain this rate of growth?
AT&T ‘Ready to Filter’ the Web
From SavetheInternet.com, January 9, 2008
By Timothy Karr
http://www.freepress.net/news/29445
During a panel discussion at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show,
AT&T’s top lobbyist said the company was ready to implement new
technologies that would allow it to inspect and filter Web traffic.
James Cicconi, AT&T’s senior vice president for external and legal
affairs, said that the time was right to start filtering for content at
the network level. “We think a network-based solution is the optimal way
to approach this,” Cicconi said, according to a New York Times reporter
who attended the panel.
It’s no secret that major ISPs have been working with technology
companies such as Cisco to filter content with deep-packet-inspection
software. Last year, AT&T revealed its plans to work with MPAA, RIAA and
broadcasters to use and deploy “digital fingerprinting techniques.
According to public statements, their rationale for playing traffic cop
is to ferret out pirated content: sniffing through our digital packets
for material that infringe on copyright.
Can You Trust the Filter?
But the technology can be used for other purposes, and the phone giant
has shown that it has no qualms invading our communications to hand over
our private records to government, or censor speech or block service
“without prior notice and for any reason or no reason.”
AT&T has also touted plans to become gatekeepers to the Web with public
relations bromides about “shaping” Web traffic to better serve the needs
of an evolving Internet.
In reality, Cicconi and his cohorts within the entertainment industry
are waging a quiet campaign to control how video and other rich content
gets distributed via the Web. The popular trend in video, however, is
streaming in the opposite direction. More and more people are becoming
their own creators and distributors of homespun video content. YouTube
now boasts more than 100 million views each day, but it is just the
beginning of this revolution.
Peer-to-peer traffic is spreading via popular technologies like
BitTorrent and Gnutella, which allow users to upload and share videos,
music and other rich media without a middleman or content gatekeeper.
The bulk of this traffic is legal.
Peer-to-Peer Traffic ‘Not Acceptable’
Also at the Las Vegas panel was NBC Universal’s general counsel Rick
Cotton, who told the Times that the volume of peer-to-peer traffic
online was “overwhelming.”
“That clearly should not be an acceptable, continuing status,” Cotton
said, and AT&T seems more than happy to step in.
These executives’ vision of a better Internet ” AT&T’s “Your World
Delivered” ” is not one that is shared by the more than 1.5 million
people who have spoken out in favor of a neutral, open and free-flowing
Internet.
For us, the Internet isn’t about one company delivering our world or
filtering our content. It’s about simply offering a high-speed
connection at reasonable rates ” and then getting out of our way.

Why did the Muslim Middle East become so violent? Philip Carl Salzman
explains how Bedouin politics became embedded in modern Islamic
sociology
Philip Carl Salzman, National Post
Published: Thursday, January 10, 2008
Archive Photos, Getty ImagesA 19th-century illustration of the Prophet
Muhammad and his followers circa 620 AD.
Today's religious map of the Middle East traces to the unification of
the Arabian tribes under the banner of Islam in the 7th century, and
their subsequent conquest of much of the known world. Muhammad's genius
was in finding a way to unite the myriad of fissiparous, feuding Bedouin
tribes of northern Arabia into a cohesive polity. Just as he had
provided a constitution of rules under which the people of Medina could
live together, so he provided a constitution for all Arabs, but this one
had the imprimatur not just of Muhammad, but of God. Submission -- Islam
-- to God and His rules, spelled out in the Koran, bound Arabian
tribesmen into the community of believers, the umma.
Building on the tribal system of "balanced opposition" -- the subject of
yesterday's essay -- Muhammad was able to frame an inclusive structure
within which the tribes had a common, God-given identity as Muslims. But
unification was only possible by creating a tribalized enemy against
which Muslims could make common cause. This Muhammad did by opposing
Muslims against infidels; and the dar al-Islam, the land of Islam and
peace, against the dar al-harb, the land of infidels and conflict.
Through the precepts of Islam, traditional Bedouin raiding was
sanctified as an act of religious duty.
With every successful battle against local unbelievers, especially after
the critical early battle against the Meccans, more Bedouin joined the
umma. Once united, the Bedouin warriors of the umma turned outward,
teaching the world the meaning of jihad, holy war. The rest, as they
say, is history.
The Arabs, in lightning thrusts, challenged and beat the Byzantines to
the north and the Persians to the east, both weakened by their
continuous wars with one another, thus imposing their control over the
Christian majority in the Levant and the Zoroastrian majority in Persia,
and therefore over the entire Middle East. These stunning successes were
rapidly followed by conquests of Christian and Jewish populations in
Egypt, Libya and North Africa's Maghreb (Arabic for "the West"), and, in
the east, central Asia and the Hindu population of northern India. Not
content with these triumphs, Arab armies invaded and subdued much of
Christian Spain and Portugal, and all of Sicily. Since the Roman Empire,
the world had not seen such power and reach. All fell before the Saracen
blades.
Most accounts of Islamic history, even that of the Lindholm's esteemed
The Islamic Middle East, glide over these conquests, as if they were
friendly takeovers. But the truth was very different.
The evidence is overwhelming that vast numbers of infidel male warriors
and civilians were slain, and that most of those spared, particularly
the women and children, were enslaved for domestic and sexual servitude.
While men who willingly converted were spared, their wives and children
were taken as slaves. In conquered regions, children were
regularly taken from parents, while on the borders -- especially in
Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Africa south of the Sahara
-- raiding for slaves was normal practice. Of the male slaves, a
substantial number were made eunuchs by the removal of sex organs, in
order to serve in harems. This account of the Arab campaign in northern
India illustrates the usual procedures:
Why did the Muslim Middle East become so violent? Philip Carl Salzman
explains how Bedouin politics became embedded in modern Islamic
sociology
"During the Arab invasion of Sindh (712 CE), Muhammad bin Qasim first
attacked Debal? It was garrisoned by 4,000 Kshatriya soldiers and served
by 3,000 Brahmans. All males of the age of 17 and upwards were put to
the sword and their women and children were enslaved. "[Seven hundred]
beautiful females, who were under the protection of Budh (that is, had
taken shelter in the temple), were all captured with their valuable
ornaments, and clothes adorned with jewels." Muhammad dispatched
one-fifth of the legal spoil to Hajjaj, which included 75 damsels, the
other four-fifths were distributed among soldiers."
The multitude of reports from Muslim, indigenous and other sources of
the Islamic conquests are equally detailed and equally daunting to a
modern reader. It is true that throughout history intergroup relations
in most of the world were exploitative and repressive, and not
infrequently brutal and bloodthirsty. The world of Islam was not so much
an exception to this, as exemplary of it.
The theological foundation of the Arab Empire was the supremacy of Islam
and the obligation of each Muslim to advance its domination. The notion
of Jihad, in particular, served to establish the Muslim community's
permanent state of war against the dar al-harb until the infidels'
conclusive submission and the absolute world supremacy of Islam.
Yet even as Islamic armies were coming to dominate the known world,
fissures emerged within Islam, which would give rise to the bloody
internecine battles that continue to this day in Iraq and elsewhere.
Most notably, the relentless oppositions within tribal life have been
reflected on a large scale in the battles between Sunni vs. Shiite, a
battle originating in a squabble between closely related kin groups over
the leadership of the Islamic empire following Muhammad's death. Their
divergent philosophical orientations are based on two tribal principles:
Sunnism recognizes leaders based on consent; Shiism recognizes leaders
based on descent. The continued anatagonism between the two groups
constitutes one of the many ways in which the tribal spirit continues
its dominance in the Middle East.

This is actually from a "Disk Web" of all the archived files from
"New Age Patriot" magazine which Bruce Cain edited and authored between
1989 and 1987. While many of the videos are grainy they show how
prescient and consistent Bruce Cain's views on drug policy remain.
While much of what he believes seems "common sense" today, it should be
remembered that, at the time these views were being publicly advocated,
his views were thought to be very controversial. Some might argue
that, at least some of his views, are still controversial today.

I am also providing the link (below) to a Word Document that contains
8 copies of the "New Agenda for America" per page. Soon I will
also release a *.pdf version of this file. If you are reading this
from the homepage of my website (www.newagecitizen.com)
you will see what a single copy of this printed listing of the "New
Agenda for America" looks like:
Here is the link to the "New Age Agenda"
mini-flyer Word document:
Please make additional copies to share with your friends. Just
follow these steps:
(1) Print of a few copies (8 mini-flyers per page)
(2) Cut them into individual flyers with a pair of scissors
(3) Put them where they are easily accessible (e.g., your wallet or
purse)
(4) Share them with any eligible American voter.
Then
start sharing. Share the agenda with your friends, your family,
with the local policeman. If you call into a "talk show" or attend
a political debate read off the list and ask, after each policy plank is
read: will you promise to support this? IF a politician says NO to
anything on this agenda, that you support, respectfully tell them that they are NOT GETTING
YOUR VOTE.

We have 14 months to change the course of the country by changing the
agenda for the 2008 Presidential Election.
What would you rather have: the same old Corporate Presidential
Agenda or "The New Agenda for America"?
I just think NAA makes too much sense to be ignored. It could be our
last best chance to put this country back on track towards a sustainable
future for our children.
Yours in Freedom,
Bruce W. Cain
Editor, New Age Citizen
www.newagecitizen.com
The current mission of New Age Citizen is
really quite simple: I want to push forward the "New Agenda for America
(NAA)" in order to rejuvenate this once-great republic. To do this
I intend to lecture publicly; run as a "write-in" presidential candidate
and force this agenda down the throats of all 2008 Presidential
Candidates. I have absolutely no illusions of winning and -- in
point of fact -- will never officially run. But I think such a
prank could very well garner attention and therefore, more consideration
of the NAA. It is so critical that this nation chart a different
course in the very immediate future.
If you are new to this website I ask but one
initial consideration:
Please don't reach any conclusions about New
Age Citizen until you have done the following:
I am confident that, having read some of this
pertinent background material, you will understand that New Age Citizen
is not interested in either racism or xenophobia. We really want
to leave the United States, and the rest of the planet, in better shape
than we found it when we arrived. But to do this effectively we
also need to understand things as they are and not how we would prefer
these things to be.
For the last few years I have
assembled a number of policy planks and packaged them under the title
"New Agenda for America." Here is the current set of planks:
(1) Universal Health Care for All
American Citizens
(2) A 20-year moratorium on all immigration into the United States
(3) Legal Marijuana for all Adults and Medical Patients
(4) An immediate reversal to the Offshoring and Inshoring of American
Jobs
(5) A strict enforcement on issues of Separation of Church and State
(6) An immediate move from so-called Free Trade Agreements to Bilateral
Trade agreements
(7) A major R&D project to bring energy independence to the United
States and the World through recycling, reuse, ending hyper-consumerism
and investing in the development of sustainable energy sources (e.g.,
solar, photovoltaic, wind, geothermal)
(8) Increasing the "minimum wage" to a "living wage"
(9) Replacement of the "Federal Reserve" with a "People's Reserve" which
has Congressional oversight.
Between now and the next
presidential election (November 4, 2008) I am planning to take this
agenda on the road by presenting it live through a series of lectures.
The main purpose will be to pressure the main party candidates to
embrace and endorse all political planks. I may also run as a
"write-in" candidate though I have absolutely no serious illusion that
there is any chance of me winning.
If you agree with most of the
agenda I encourage you to share my website with you friends and
families. Specifically, I would recommend that they all get on our
mailing list so that we can alert them to new content at our website.
We are in the midst of the destruction of the American Middle Class by a
powerful group of Global Elitists. It is not happening through
some hidden conspiracy. Rather it is happening right before our
eyes through various forms of social engineering that are being
orchestrated by the world's largest banks and corporations. The
most visible manifestation of this can be observed by reading about the
North America Union that is being implemented below the media radar
stream and is being implemented with total disregard of Constitutional
process. In addition it is being pushed forward by our
Congressional representatives that are committing treason through their
continued silence.
The following YouTube Video
has the Editor of New Age Citizen, Bruce W. Cain, describing an overview
to the "New Agenda for America": [originally referred to as the "New Age
Agenda"]:
"New Agenda for America" will
become a slogan for referring to the set of policy positions that NAC
will be promoting in the coming years. It refers to a disturbing
trend whereby our elected representatives appear to be increasingly at
odds with the values of the founding fathers of this country (e.g.,
Washington, Franklin, Jefferson) and the American people.
To get this off the ground I
am creating a frames based page which will allow my visitors to both
understand the rational behind New Age Citizen as well as the
preliminary agenda for "New Agenda for America." I will place a link to
this at the top right hand corner of the homepage for now. You can
take a quick look by clicking below:
The Editor of New Age Citizen, is
considering giving a series of lectures that challenge the current
"Demopublican" plutocracy with policy alternatives that are more to the
interests of the American working class. The first lecture in the
series will most likely address the current Immigration Reform measures
that are being debated both in Congress and on the streets of America.
I may even bring my guitar to break things up a bit. Expect this
to happen around January 2008.
Lecture #001: No More Immigration: Legal or Illegal
This lecture will address the virtual propaganda surrounding the
current immigration debate. It will expose the larger agenda that
is intent on destroying the middle class by attempting to merge the
United States into a "North American Union" consisting of Mexico, Canada
and the United States. The primary argument against immigration focuses
on the inability of the United States to provide adequate sustainable
resources for the 200 million additional immigrants that will exceed the
carrying capacity of this great country by 2050. The lecture will
conclude that the best interests of legal American citizens will be
served by implementing mandatory employer Social Security checks;
punishing employers with extreme prejudice and putting an end to all
Legal/Illegal immigration until the real wages of Americans is at or
beyond what they were at their apex in 1973. If you live in SE
Michigan and are interesting in attending one of these activist lectures
please send an email to get on our lecture list.
In addition to these lectures I am considering staging a
demonstration against further immigration and Bush's agenda to destroy
the American working class. More on that in the near future.
Lastly, if you know of any Anti-Immigrant Demonstrations, anywhere in
the US, let me know. I will begin to post these on the website.
