As we approach the Labor Day weekend I cannot think of a more appropriate action than encouraging you to sign the "Petition to Urge All 2008 Presidential Candidates to Save US Jobs." The 30-second YouTube ad that promotes this petition is some powerful stuff:...
Here is what the petition asks of all of the 2008 Presidential candidates:
Be it resolved therefore that the undersigned respectfully urge America's leaders to address the crisis facing American workers and commit to preserving American jobs for Americans; enforcing effective sanctions against employers hiring illegal aliens; requiring employers to hire Americans first, making their own aspirations and dreams of a middle class life a reality.
Of course this petition reflects some of the main policy planks (2,4,6 and 8) for the New Age Citizen's "New Agenda for America (NAA)."
(2) A 20-year moratorium on all immigration into the United States (4) An immediate reversal to the Offshoring and Inshoring of American Jobs (6) An immediate move from so-called Free Trade Agreements to Bilateral Trade agreements (8) Increasing the "minimum wage" to a "living wage"
After only 4 days (08/31/2007) they have already garnered over 74,000 signatures. Please help boost this number to a few million before the end of the Labor Day holiday. You can do this by just pasting the following text into an e-mail and sending it to at least 10 of your friends:
============================================ Sign the Petition to Urge All 2008 Presidential Candidates to Save US Jobs http://www.reformus.org/ Please pass this email on to another 10 of your friends as the total "signatures" will be presented to ALL 2008 Presidential Candidates For a larger set of Policy Planks that we want to see Presidential endorsements please check out the "New Agenda for America" at www.newagecitizen.com ============================================
I have also produced a 2nd YouTube video where I encourage Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck to support the Re-Legalization of Marijuana for all Adult Americans My main arguments to Lou and Glenn is that (1) Re-Legalization will have no significant social impact and (2) it will rob Mexican Drug Cartels of 20 Billion each year after Re-Legalization is implemented. After watching the new video (in this edition of New Age Citizen) you are encouraged to write Lou and allow NAC's editor, Bruce Cain, to present his arguments for IMMEDIATE Re-Legalization of Marijuana.
Of course this video is meant to provide argument for the 3rd plank of the New Age Citizen's "New Agenda for America (NAA)."
(3) Legal Marijuana for all Adults and Medical Patients
In the very near future I am planning a video on the specific model for the Re-Legalization of Marijuana. It will be referred to as the "Merp Project" and you can read some introductory material about the "Merp Project" through the following links:
============================================ The MERP Project The Marijuana Re-Legalization Policy (MRP) Project
Of course I am considering running as a "write-in" presidential candidate in order to get the Presidential Candidates to endorse the "New Agenda for America (NAA)." I have no illusions of winning the presidency but it may serve as a tool to promote an agenda that I think already finds support with a majority of American Citizens. Sadly, I don't think ANY of the corporately-financed candidate will truly support any of the planks that currently comprise the NAA. Ron Paul may be the only exception to this sad but accurate observation.
My basement just filled with sewage last week so I don't have too much time for this Web at the moment. I will be adding things to this edition, as I have the time, so you might want to come back over the next week for some additional content. But before the Labor Day weekend is over I do urge you to sign the petition to Save American Jobs.
Well the sad news is in. The Federal Courts are allowing Mexican truck drivers, from 100 different trucking firms, to begin taking over the jobs of American truck drivers beginning this Thrusday(09/06/2007). And other federal courts are also halting the use of the "pilot program" to identify Illegal Aliens that are working in government-funded jobs. Read a few of these articles for more background information:
If it were me I would organize to slash the tires of every one of these Mexican trucks as they pass through rest stops on the American side of the border. If you do it right this could have the same symbolism as the Boston Tea Party once had. It could signify an electorate that is not going to tolerate the Globalist intentions of George Bush any longer. It could signify a declaration of war against all globalist entities.
Unfortunately this MUST occur in order for our children to enjoy the fruits of a sovereign and autonomous nation: We still enjoy some semblance of sovereignty through we have much to do in order to reclaim our autonomy from countries like India and China.
Just keep in mind that there are now 54 Million unemployed American workers at the moment and that most new jobs do not even pay a living wage, much less benefits such as health care, defined benefit pensions or 401-K's with a 100 percent employer match.
If you have not figured it out yet let me make clear what is going on. The Globalists (e.g., most major US Corporations including GM, Ford, Merck, Boeing, GE etc.) are in the midst of turning most of the US middle class into indentured wage slaves with little hope of a dignified life or dignified retirement. This is a War on the Middle Class and these Multi-National Corporations have no intention of taking any prisoners. If we let this continue it will be worse that anything Lou Dobbs has portended on his nightly TV show: Lou Dobb's Tonight.
We are on the verge of a New American Revolution and stopping Mexican Truckers is a perfect way to light that fuse. It is my hope that quick action will avert the terrible suffering that will occur should we make the mistaken decision to keep waiting.
You would have thought that the defeat of the Senate's McCain/Kennedy Amnesty Bill, back in June 2007, would have sent the message that American's are not going to tolerate Amnesty for Illegal Aliens. But apparently Bush and Congress are intent on ignoring the people they are supposed to represent. Perhaps that is why only 18% of American citizens believe Congress is doing an adequate job.
Having said that, it is also difficult to ignore the hypocrisy of the American Union movement which seems to endorse illegal immigration and Amnesty. As Ben Franklin once said. "Either we hang together or we will all be hung individually."
American citizens need to start standing up for one another across all businesses and industries. We need to regain our sovereignty by weaning ourselves on the dependency of other nations where ever possible. Paramount to this effort will be the reversal of NAFTA and all other "corporate trade agreements."
Please Cut/Paste this message and spread it as widely as possible over the next few weeks.
PETITION TO PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES TO SAVE U.S. JOBS
Whereas 3,525,000 American jobs have been outsourced to foreign countries over the last seven years.
Whereas big business and immigration lawyers are conspiring to fill American jobs here at home with foreign workers.
Whereas importing workers from other countries is driving down American wages and destroying the American dream.
Whereas 27,870,000 U.S. jobs are filled by foreign workers here.
Whereas today 54,284,000 working age Americans dont have a job.
Editor, Bruce Cain, explains why Marijuana Prohibition is intellectually indefensible. Also explains the benefits of Legalizing which include granting universal access for Medical Users as well as robbing nearly 20 Billion dollars from Mexican Drug Cartels. That is 20 Billion a year that would generate tax revenue and create more jobs for American workers.
Lou Dobbs appears on our site and I'm sure we all see him as a primary spokesperson for Pro-Enforcement activists. But I think he is dead wrong in his support for Marijuana prohibition.
I believe Legalizing Marijuana, for adults only, would take nearly 10 Billion dollars from the Drug Smugglers: in California alone. Many Pro-Enforcement folk that I've talked to agree: at least 50%.
I would be interested in your views on this topic:
(1) Do you agree that Legalizing Marijuana could rob Illegal Mexican Drug Dealers of their profits?
(2) Do you think grass roots Immigration Pro-Enforcement folk should add Marijuana Re-Legalization to their agenda?
For more information on my proposed framework for Marijuana Re-Legalization see the MERP articles below:
LET'S STOP THIS AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS, TOO! www.NumbersUSA.com
The open-borders assault on American workers and taxpayers will resume this week when Congress returns.
Since your victory over the Comprehensive Amnesty in the Senate in June, the pro-amnesty forces have been planning and mounting their new assault.
Their own communications with their members and their comments to the media outline their plan. They will forego attempting an amnesty for the minimum of 12 million total illegal aliens. Instead, they will seek an amnesty for 1.5 million illegal farmworkers (which will also result in a few more millions of their close relatives being allowed to be amnestied or invited right away).
Please watch your Action Buffet for faxes to send and watch your in-box for emails from us with specific links to new faxes and phone requests related to stopping the Ag Amnesty this fall.
Nothing less than the level of your effort in May and June will prevent the Ag Amnesty from going through this fall!
Pro-amnesty advocacy groups are telling their members that Sen. Kennedy (D-Mass.) and Sen. Feinstein (D-Calif.) have promised them that the Ag Jobs amnesty will be attached to the farm bill this fall and be passed into law.
UNLIMITED NUMBER OF LEGAL AG WORKERS AVAILABLE -- ZERO NEED FOR AG AMNESTY
The media -- since we beat the amnesty in June -- have been pushing constant scare stories about how crops will rot in the fields and on the trees the rest of the year because the supply of illegal ag workers is dwindling.
They are using those stories to make the case that the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens now working in U.S. agriculture should be legalized and set on a path to citizenship.
POINT #1: Most of the "rotting" is mainly factual rot itself. Few reporters actually observe the rotting.
POINT #2: When crops actually don't get picked in time, it is nearly always the grower's fault for having gambled on finding illegal workers instead of using a legal guestworker program.
The federal government offers the H-2A visa which allows farmers to import unlimited numbers of foreign ag workers for specific short-term work.
Any time you see a grower quoted that he is going to lose his crop because of a lack of workers, you can know that he didn't plan ahead. If he insists on using foreign workers, he has a perfectly legal foreign guestworker program available.
POINT #3: Why don't those complaining growers use the H-2A visa program? Mostly, it is because they have to pay an almost decent wage under the program, while illegal aliens are cheaper.
POINT #4: Occasionally a story about "rotting crops" mentions that H-2A workers are available but quotes a grower claiming that the legal program is too cumbersome. Our first response is that if somebody really wants to harvest his crops he would put up with "cumbersome" to get the job done.
Nonetheless, we have worked for a few years with some of the most pro-farmer Members of Congress to streamline the H-2A program, make it faster, more dependable and remove a few somewhat outdated requirements. If the growers' lobbyists had worked with the Members of Congress, the bureaucratic red tape and unreasonable requirements already would have been removed from the guestworker program.
The ag lobbyists, however, have failed to support reforms, instead putting all their efforts into an amnesty for the illegal workers their clients already are hiring.
Let me quickly say that we have many indications that most farmers in America oppose amnesty for illegal alien ag workers.
But their lobbyists are relentless in being the wedge for the open-borders enthusiasts who eventually want a free flow of foreign labor across our borders and competing directly with American workers in all occupations.
MAIN POINT: Some of you may be tempted to sit this fight out because you don't think there is any harm to flooding the ag job occupation with foreign workers -- because you can't imagine Americans doing farm work.
First, the Department of Labor finds that the majority of farm workers (about 55%) in the U.S. are native-born Americans!
Surely on Labor Day, we can stipulate that the government should not be driving down the incomes of these American farm workers (nor should it be driving down the incomes of permanently settled LEGAL foreign-born farm workers.
While we at NumbersUSA question the need or the advisability of large-scale foreign ag worker importation, we support efforts to drive all such hiring through legal programs that are designed to minimize the negative effect on our American native and legal immigrant ag workers.
It is time for the 1.5 million or more illegal ag workers to go home. To the extent, legal U.S. residents can't be found to replace them, that can be handled through the existing legal foreign worker program.
Farmers who have routinely broken immigration laws by hiring illegal aliens often argue that they don't want legal workers because they are used to the illegal ones they have been using for a long time. Even that wish can be handled through the existing program. If the illegals go home, the farmers can specifically recruit their former illegal workers through H-2A. But those workers would then have to be paid legal rates and they would have to abide byt he rules, including going back home regularly.
If we don't stop this Ag Amnesty this fall, you can be sure that we'll have an even more difficult time stopping a larger amnesty soon after. in this email: 1. Points to make showing no need for illegal alien ag workers
2. See why we are right to say that 54 million working-age Americans do not have a job

Immigration fight turns to U.S. workers
September 3, 2007 By Stephen Dinan Washington Times
Immigration-limits groups are in the midst of a Labor Day campaign to pressure Congress and presidential candidates to pledge to cut the flow of foreign labor in order to protect American workers.
The groups' plea being made in a new television-ad campaign and an online petition occurs as think tanks on both sides of the immigration debate ponder the role of immigrants in the labor force, and arrive at different conclusions about how necessary foreign workers will be over the next half-century.
The new ad campaign is stark and blunt: It features a young couple sitting at a kitchen table, with a baby crying in the background. The man tells the woman he didn't get a job because "they hired all foreign workers, but none of us," and the woman wonders aloud how they are going to make their house payment.
The group behind the ad, the Coalition for the Future American Worker, says there are 54 million Americans of working age without a job, and nearly 28 million foreign-born workers both legal immigrants and illegal aliens who hold jobs here. The group plans to deliver a petition to all of the 2008 presidential candidates tied to Labor Day asking them to crack down on employers who hire illegal aliens, but also to require businesses to look at American workers first, rather than legal foreign workers.
As of yesterday morning, about 76,600 people had attached their names online to the petition.
Feeling emboldened after helping to kill the Senate's immigration-overhaul bill this year, groups that want more restrictions placed on immigration both illegal and legal are hoping to push the political debate further in their direction. But they face a newly energized immigrant rights community that found itself on the losing end of the Senate immigration battle and has vowed to redouble efforts.
...
YES, 54 MILLION WORKING-AGE AMERICANS DON'T HAVE A JOB -- AND NEARLY 28 MILLION FOREIGN-BORN DO HAVE U.S. JOBS
We really are glad to see that so many of you read our material carefully -- and skeptically -- to ensure that what we are suggesting that you do is something you truly believe in.
The figures quoted above in the Times article from our on-line petition seemed so incredible that many of you decided they must not be, well, credible.
The following email is typical of many of your comments:
"The information in today's newsletter cannot be correct as to the number of working-age Americans unemployed, and the number of jobs held by foreigners would have to be legal & illegal immigrants and I doubt that it would total 27 million. I find it odd, or convenient, that the number of unemployed Americans is exactly twice the number of foreigners employed. While I don't doubt the sincerity of your team, I don't think boosting the numbers a bit contributes to your reputation nor integrity." ----------Al
First, I can assure you that, while it is always possible for us to make a mistake, we have a 10-year reputation of impeccable integrity and accuracy. The numbers in the petition are correct. Both numbers come from the U.S. Department of Labor on-line reports.
Yes, when we say "foreign workers" are filling more than 27 million U.S. jobs, we are talking about all foreign born, including those who came legally in permanent settlement, those who came illegally and those who have come for temporary work legally.
Read this very carefully: We have no beef against the foreign born who have come here legally. And we advocate no discrimination against them for jobs. Foreign-born citizens should be treated EXACTLY the same as native-born citizens.
But we do have a beef with politicians who are responsible for importing so many legal foreign workers -- and we are even more angry at politicians who have allowed millions of foreign workers to come illegally.
We wonder how any politician can keep a straight face and say that 27 million foreign workers are not enough and that we must continue importing more than a million a year.
The 54 million working-age Americans without a job may be an even more startling statistic. But it is accurate as of last month's July government reports.
Al in his email made the common error of confusing "unemployed" Americans with Americans who do not have a job. "Unemployed is an official term that counts only those Americans who have signed up with a government office as being out of work, who are currently seeking a job and unable to find one. There are more than 7 million Americans in that condition (about the same number as the government estimates for illegal foreign workers currently occupying U.S. jobs).
But there are another 47 million Americans ages 16-64 who are not in the labor force at all.
Some of these people are parents who have decided to stay at home with young children. Others have decided not to work for other personal reasons but could always be enticed to take a job under the right conditions. Some are teenagers who have chosen not to work part-time jobs. Most, however, are people who have given up looking for work or who have been driven from the job market by depressed wages, reduced benefits and deteriorated working conditions, in part because of the downward pressures posed by the presence of more than 27 million foreign workers.
In all, the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, reports in its "Labor Force Statistics from the current Population Survey (July 2007)" that more than 54 million working-age Americans do not currently have a job.
I agree that it looks suspicious that the number of non-working Americans is almost exactly double the number of foreign-born who ARE working. But those are the facts. And they ARE startling.
Most Members of Congress and nearly all the Presidential candidates are ignorant of these facts. That is one reason they tend to listen more to business lobbyists crying for more foreign labor. They will remain ignorant if they don't hear from enough people like you.
Why include 16-17 year old youth? Some of you have argued that we are inflating the 54 million number by including Americans as young as 16. We do that because the government offers data in age blocks. In order to count anybody under 25, you have to use the government's data for the age group that is 16 to 24. Nonetheless, many of those teenagers DO have jobs. And many more of them might have part-time jobs if they weren't competing so directly with the large numbers of foreign workers.
PETITION CAMPAIGN DOESN'T ADVOCATE DISCRIMINATION AGAINST LEGAL IMMIGRANTS
A number of you have watched our coalition's ad and read the petition and concluded that we are suggesting that employers choose native-born American workers over legal immigrants.
First, that would be illegal.
Second, we absolutely aren't advocating that, although I can see where our wording may have confused some people like the following:
"I applauded and acted on all your support requests until now, but now I have opted out of Numbers USA.
"It's that you have gone too far by promoting the idea of not giving employment to immigrants with legal status. You state in your latest proposal "legal and illegal" and I cannot support this action. Had it not been for legal immigrants in the past who made major changes for this country in textiles, electricity, electronics, medical and scientific process, we would not be the greatest country in the world.
"You state you want to give employment to American citizens only. ... I believe, to deny USA employment to a German or Japanese, British, Irish, Indian, African and/or any person who came here legally from another country, is criminal. I realize you are targeting the droves of people coming in to the USA illegally from across borders but you are, in your wording, targeting everyone, and I cannot support this action." ----------Dean M.
This is a misperception I want to clear up immediately.
Nowhere do we advocate that only U.S. citizens should get jobs. All persons legally authorized to work in this country should have an equal shot at a job.
The coalition ads are addressed in part at the practice in many occupations in which employers discriminate AGAINST U.S. citizens in FAVOR of foreign workers.
Primarily, though, the ad campaign is aimed at reducing FUTURE importation of workers, something that hurts both native born and foreign born who already are legal residents of this country.
I addressed some of these concerns at the National Press Club last week in comments that have run a number of times since on the C-SPAN cable network.
I explained that because LEGAL immigration has been adding far more people to the country than ILLEGAL, it has to be said that legal immigration poses the greater problem for the country.
I know that is provocative.
But hear me out.
Nearly all economists and other researchers who find cause for concern about illegal immigration state that a foreign national who arrives and lives in the U.S. illegally imposes about the same costs on those already here as does somebody who arrives legally. The main problem with 12 million illegal aliens being here is not that they came illegally but that they are here. Their presence is the cost, not their illegality.
Think about it: If illegality were the primary problem, then you could solve most of the problem by legalizing them -- by giving them amnesty.
On C-SPAN, I was quick to point out that by saying legal immigration is such a big problem for the country, I was not saying there is anything wrong with the particular legal immigrants who are arriving. Rather, the problem is with the numbers.
Legal immigrants who are already here have taken advantage of an opportunity that our government gave them. And now "they" are "us." NumbersUSA advocates full opportunity for those legal immigrants already here. But we know that the U.S. cannot continue to take more than 1 million legal immigrants a year. We must bring the numbers back closer to the traditional 250,000 annual level.
From 1776 to 1976, legal immigration averaged around 250,000. Surely bringing the number back to that level cannot be interpreted as being against immigration or against our immigration tradition. Rather, it is a moderate, reasonable policy option demanded by any number of factors which can be studied on our website at www.NumbersUSA.com.

The Washington Post this morning had a story about how manufacturing in the United States continues to rise higher and higher -- in terms of the value of products. But the number of people with jobs in manufacturing keeps plummeting.
I think some people think our saying that 54 million working-age Americans don't have a job is a slam that the economy is terrible. Or that some political leader has failed.
But our main point is that with 54 million American adults not currently working, we have a pool far larger than we should ever need to fill any gaps that might occur.
With manufacturing jobs steadily disappearing, why on earth would we be importing additional foreign workers instead of letting the people already in this country have a full shot at those jobs?
I know that many of you are like me and are managers or have started your own business. But I hope that you will support the majority of Americans who work for somebody else and depend on wages and don't need their government working against them by importing competition.
Of course, working against high foreign labor importation is not just about protecting American workers in their jobs. It also is about protecting all American taxpayers who pick up most of the very high costs that foreign workers and their families impose on local taxpayers.
LET'S FIGHT THIS BATTLE TOGETHER.
THANKS,
P.S. We can triple our membership quickly if our members email their friends about us and they in turn email theirs. Polls show that most Americans agree with Numbersusa's positions but, despite our recent rapid growth, most of these folks still have never heard of us. You can help change that by forwarding this email. (Note: depending on your email provider, you may need to send this as an "attachment.")
The current mission of New Age Citizen is really quite simple: I want to push forward the "New Agenda for America (NAA)" in order to rejuvenate this once-great republic. To do this I intend to lecture publicly; run as a "write-in" presidential candidate and force this agenda down the throats of all 2008 Presidential Candidates. I have absolutely no illusions of winning and -- in point of fact -- will never officially run. But I think such a prank could very well garner attention and therefore, more consideration of the NAA. It is so critical that this nation chart a different course in the very immediate future.
If you are new to this website I ask but one initial consideration:
Please don't reach any conclusions about New Age Citizen until you have done the following:
I am confident that, having read some of this pertinent background material, you will understand that New Age Citizen is not interested in either racism or xenophobia. We really want to leave the United States, and the rest of the planet, in better shape than we found it when we arrived. But to do this effectively we also need to understand things as they are and not how we would prefer these things to be.
For the last few years I have assembled a number of policy planks and packaged them under the title "New Agenda for America." Here is the current set of planks:
(1) Universal Health Care for All American Citizens (2) A 20-year moratorium on all immigration into the United States (3) Legal Marijuana for all Adults and Medical Patients (4) An immediate reversal to the Offshoring and Inshoring of American Jobs (5) A strict enforcement on issues of Separation of Church and State (6) An immediate move from so-called Free Trade Agreements to Bilateral Trade agreements (7) A major R&D project to bring energy independence to the United States and the World through recycling, reuse, ending hyper-consumerism and investing in the development of sustainable energy sources (e.g., solar, photovoltaic, wind, geothermal) (8) Increasing the "minimum wage" to a "living wage"
Between now and the next presidential election (November 4, 2008) I am planning to take this agenda on the road by presenting it live through a series of lectures. The main purpose will be to pressure the main party candidates to embrace and endorse all political planks. I may also run as a "write-in" candidate though I have absolutely no serious illusion that there is any chance of me winning.
If you agree with most of the agenda I encourage you to share my website with you friends and families. Specifically, I would recommend that they all get on our mailing list so that we can alert them to new content at our website. We are in the midst of the destruction of the American Middle Class by a powerful group of Global Elitists. It is not happening through some hidden conspiracy. Rather it is happening right before our eyes through various forms of social engineering that are being orchestrated by the world's largest banks and corporations. The most visible manifestation of this can be observed by reading about the North America Union that is being implemented below the media radar stream and is being implemented with total disregard of Constitutional process. In addition it is being pushed forward by our Congressional representatives that are committing treason through their continued silence.
The following YouTube Video has the Editor of New Age Citizen, Bruce W. Cain, describing an overview to the "New Agenda for America": [originally referred to as the "New Age Agenda"]:
"New Agenda for America" will become a slogan for referring to the set of policy positions that NAC will be promoting in the coming years. It refers to a disturbing trend whereby our elected representatives appear to be increasingly at odds with the values of the founding fathers of this country (e.g., Washington, Franklin, Jefferson) and the American people.
To get this off the ground I am creating a frames based page which will allow my visitors to both understand the rational behind New Age Citizen as well as the preliminary agenda for "New Agenda for America." I will place a link to this at the top right hand corner of the homepage for now. You can take a quick look by clicking below:
The Editor of New Age Citizen, is considering giving a series of lectures that challenge the current "Demopublican" plutocracy with policy alternatives that are more to the interests of the American working class. The first lecture in the series will most likely address the current Immigration Reform measures that are being debated both in Congress and on the streets of America.
Lecture #001: No More Immigration: Legal or Illegal
This lecture will address the virtual propaganda surrounding the current immigration debate. It will expose the larger agenda that is intent on destroying the middle class by attempting to merge the United States into a "North American Union" consisting of Mexico, Canada and the United States. The primary argument against immigration focuses on the inability of the United States to provide adequate sustainable resources for the 200 million additional immigrants that will exceed the carrying capacity of this great country by 2050. The lecture will conclude that the best interests of legal American citizens will be served by implementing mandatory employer Social Security checks; punishing employers with extreme prejudice and putting an end to all Legal/Illegal immigration until the real wages of Americans is at or beyond what they were at their apex in 1973. If you live in SE Michigan and are interesting in attending one of these activist lectures please send an email to get on our lecture list.
In addition to these lectures I am considering staging a demonstration against further immigration and Bush's agenda to destroy the American working class. More on that in the near future. Lastly, if you know of any Anti-Immigrant Demonstrations, anywhere in the US, let me know. I will begin to post these on the website.
