Bush's Attempt to Form a "North American Union" Will End US Sovereignty and US Citizenship. This Must Be Stopped

If you were upset at how Congress has ignored your desire for limits on immigration this is really going to get you upset.  The SPP (Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America ), also known as the "North American Union," is the true overarching agenda behind the Senate's Amnesty Bill.  Click on the picture for articles on the most important issue from a admittedly conservative website.  This issue concerns every legal American citizen and crosses all ideological lines.  It is becoming clearer, by the day, that one of the American peoples most dangerous enemies may actually be our very own government.  It is almost unbelievable to watch how the media has purposely shielded this important agenda from the eyes of the American people.  We all made a serious mistake by not taking to the streets when the government passed NAFTA during the Clinton Administration.  If the SPP succeeds both US Citizenship and US Sovereignty will be forever lost.  Someone really needs to organize demonstrations against this treasonous act being committed by our Businesses, our Government and our President.  There is no doubt in my mind that anyone lending support to this "partnership" is a traitor to both our Constitution and to the American people who they are supposed to represent.

IN MORTAL DANGER: AMERICA
http://www.newswithviews.com/Wooldridge/frosty156.htm
By Frosty Wooldridge May 25, 2006 NewsWithViews.com

Great statesmen advanced America with profound visions! Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and James Madison, at great personal danger, facilitated the founding of America. Those men understood the gravity of their fledgling country. George Washington fought for America on the battlefield. Later, Susan B. Anthony, Dr. Martin Luther King and others advanced America’s future by pushing ahead against enormous odds.

Those Americans stood ahead of their time. They proceeded at great personal risk. They moved with passion and greater understanding in time-periods where most sat on their hands.

Colorado’s Congressman Tom Tancredo stands with the greats of history via his actions and book “IN MORTAL DANGER: The Battle for America’s Border and Security”.

All but ignored four years ago, he stood in the House of Representatives issuing a clarion call concerning the dangers of relentless illegal and massive legal immigration into the United States. He formed the Immigration Reform Caucus--at 93 House members and growing.

I know Tom Tancredo personally. I know his integrity, his grit and his intellect. I understand this man’s noble purpose. What is it? Tancredo strives to save the United States of America from unending, nation-killing illegal immigration.

I found the first three-quarters of the book absolutely riveting! Through national dialogues, debates and diatribes—four myths emerge:

Myth 1. There is nothing the U.S. can do to stop illegal immigration.
Myth 2. Illegal immigrants take jobs Americans don’t want.
Myth 3. Illegal aliens are an economic plus for America.
Myth 4. Only bigots object and oppose immigration.

With the Bear-Stearns findings of 20 million illegal aliens residing in America, the real numbers focus a black eye on President Bush and Congress for standing against the U.S. Constitution’s Article IV Section 4. At no time in history has one president acted with such disregard to his oath of office as George W. Bush after 9/11 as to national security. Our southern borders remain as open as a 24 hour shopping mall, but in this case, drug and people smugglers along with MS-13 criminals enjoy full access to America.

Our English language suffers displacement while newcomers carry anti-American sentiment to extreme levels.

“For years I have witnessed a difference…the kinds of people coming into the United States,” Tancredo said. “Too many immigrants continue to be loyal to their native countries. They desire to maintain their own language, customs and culture. Yet, they seek to exploit the success of America while giving back as little in return as possible.”

Illegal aliens manipulate America’s welfare opportunities like an art form. They’ve bankrupted dozens of hospitals out of existence. Illegal alien felons cram our prisons while having wreaked havoc on our citizens. Illegals inundate our school systems while destroying our language and culture. Pregnant mothers with anchor babies pour across our borders by the tens of thousands annually.

Tancredo exposes:

George Bush is well aware that people from countries with established al Qaeda connections have entered the country using Hispanic appearances.

MS-13 gangs, “one of the most violent and bloodthirsty gangs to ever prey on our society have infiltrated America and created links to al Qaeda.

Illegal aliens extend drug cartels across the United States.
Throughout this brilliant book, Tancredo shows America’s roots being destroyed. He exposes the farce of ‘multiculturalism’ as witnessed in Paris, France; Amsterdam, Holland; Great Britain and Sweden. Tancredo illustrates the ‘clash of civilizations’ such as the incompatibility of Middle Eastern immigrants that do not and will not assimilate into any country. He announces the “Barbarians are past the gate” with sobering illustrations of America’s danger.

Tancredo adds Dr. Madeleine Cosman’s warnings as to diseases entering the United States in limitless numbers as he quotes her, “The influx of illegal aliens has serious hidden medical consequences. What we do not see can be more dangerous, more expensive and more deadly that what is seen.” In the past five years, 16,000 new cases of tuberculosis raced into America in the bodies of unscreened illegal aliens. Over 7,000 cases of leprosy impregnated themselves into America. Tens of thousands of cases of hepatitis ‘A’ spread to all sectors of America. Chagas disease, Dengue fever, New Castle, tapeworm, malaria and many other diseases creep across the land.

Tancredo, with the most electrifying clarity yet, discusses the impact of adding 100 to 200 million immigrants into the United States. How can the American Dream not become a nightmare by injecting this country with a half billion people on its way to a billion in this century? Tancredo quotes the two Pulitzer Prize winners Donald Barlett and James Steele, “Illegal immigrants turn the land into a vast latrine, leaving behind revolting mounds of personal refuse and enough discarded plastic bags to stock Wal-Mart.”

Tancredo brings great vision to the debate:

Put troops on the border
End ‘catch and release’ policy
Mandate passport usage for all international travel
Make volunteer border patrol a sanctioned federal activity
Suspend visa waiver program

Tom Tancredo adds common sense enforcement:

Require federal response to local enforcement
Make employment verification mandatory
Eliminate social security entitlement
End birthright citizenship known as anchor babies
Make English the official language of America
Eliminate the visa lottery
Eliminate chain migration
Stop all H-1B visas.

Tancredo offers a dozen other exceptional solutions that Bush and Congress must initiate immediately. I’ll add one more: we must reduce legal immigration to fewer than 100,000 annually in order to sustain a stable population. Why? This country and our planet cannot sustain unlimited population growth. We bequeath horrible consequences on future progeny—now experienced by China, India and Bangladesh.

Tom Tancredo’s book advances solutions to stop the death of America. His book will prove one of the most important solutions in the history of the United States. It will prove as valuable as the U.S. Constitution for the survival of America.

Tancredo finishes, “I am proud of what America is. I am proud to be a product of Western civilization…all of these things are worthy of our allegiance and worthy things about which we should tell our children. We must encourage them with all our hearts. If we do not, we shall find ourselves in mortal danger.”

Road To Rome
--Immigration-reform leader speaks out in brand new book--

"Two years ago, he was as lonely as the Maytag repairman – an obscure congressman trying desperately to raise the visibility of an issue he believed threatened the very security of the U.S.

More recently, he has become a force to be reckoned with, the leader of a powerful House caucus, a Republican who has taken on the president, a man respected for outspoken positions and the political force behind what has become the hottest issue in the nation.

Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., chairman of the House Immigration Reform Caucus and the undisputed heavyweight champion of the border security issue in the nation's capital, now tells the whole story of the threats facing the nation, the solutions within its grasp and his own personal quest to awaken the political establishment to the seething discontentment gripping America as a result of illegal immigration.

In his new book, "In Mortal Danger," published by WND Books, Tancredo warns the country is on a course to the dustbin of history. Like the great and mighty empires of the past, he writes, superpowers that once stretched from horizon to horizon, America is heading down the road to ruin.

English historian Edward Gibbon, in penning his classic "The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire" (ironically published in the year America's Founding Fathers declared independence from Great Britain), theorized that Rome fell because it rotted from within. It succumbed to barbarian invasions because of a loss of civic virtue, its citizens became lazy and soft, hiring barbarian mercenaries to defend the empire because they were unwilling to defend it themselves.

Tancredo says America is following in the tragic footsteps of Rome.

Living up to his reputation for candor, Tancredo explains how the economic success and historical military prowess of the United States has transformed a nation founded on Judeo-Christian principles of right and wrong into an overindulgent, self-deprecating, immoral cesspool of depravity.

His recipe for turning things around?

Without strong, moral leadership, without a renewed sense of purpose, without a rededication to family and community, without shunning the race hustlers and pop-culture sham artists, without protecting borders, language and culture, the nation that once was "the land of the free and home of the brave" and the "one last best hope of mankind" will repeat the catastrophic mistakes of the past, he writes.

Tancredo, born and raised in Colorado, represents Colorado's 6th district in the U.S. House of Representatives. Prior to his election to Congress in 1998, Tancredo worked as a schoolteacher, was elected to the Colorado State House of Representatives in 1976, was appointed by President Reagan as the secretary of education's regional representative in 1981, and served as president of the Independence Institute. He serves on the International Relations Committee, the Resources Committee and the Budget Committee, and is the chairman of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus. Tancredo and his wife, Jackie, reside in Littleton, Colo." (WorldNetDaily, com 5/22/06)

In Mortal Danger: The Battle for America's Heart And Soul

CIVIL WAR AND THE PECULIAR INSTITUTION OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
Posted By: BullsEye on 7/7/2006 10:29:51 AM
"It seems clear to some who study the question of illegal immigration in the U. S. that this question is much like the past question of slavery. It is estimated, for example, that there was one slave for every two Southerners prior to the outbreak of the Civil War. Nowadays, Latinos, many of them illegal immigrants from Mexico, make up about a third of the population of Chicago. This is the same proportion as the number of slaves who lived in the antebellum south.

More than a century ago, the movement to abolish slavery in the U. S. ended in violence and civil war. Will the same thing happen over the issue of illegal immigration? To imagine another civil war is to imagine a future that holds as many surprises as the past.

Jefferson Davis did not imagine he would become President of the Confederate States of America after he fought in the 1848 war with Mexico. Nevertheless, it was that service in Mexico that gave the Confederate States of America a military advantage when hostilities broke out. Could the same be said for the veterans returning from the Iraq war and their role in a future civil war, a war not over slavery but illegal immigration?

Hindsight teaches that slavery might have disappeared gradually from the southern states without a civil war. Perhaps the Abolitionists were simply a lunatic fringe that forced an issue. Regardless, the issue of slavery was forced, just as the issue of illegal immigration will be forced, because both slavery and illegal immigration stand in contradiction to the principles of citizenship that inspired the American Revolution in the first place.

There is disagreement among historians over the causes for the U. S. Civil War, or the War of Northern Aggression, as some others call it. Slavery, tariff arguments between northern and southern states, unjust taxation and expenditures, various interpretations of the Declaration of Independence, and even the actions of politicians and President Lincoln: all have been offered as explanations for this bloody event in U. S. history.

One thing most historians agree upon, however, is that all these causes together ended in a violent upheaval where more than 630,000 Americans died. In our Civil War, the American Revolution postponed its Reign of Terror by 85 years.

Carl Pearlston admires the historian Charles Adams. In his essay about the Civil War, Pearlston quotes Adams' book, When in the Course of Human Events. There Adams writes that, "...the Civil War was not just a great national American tragedy, but even more so, a tragedy for civilization...In 1861, the world's first great democracy, which was going to show the world what great benefits and virtue this new form of government could bring, failed miserably, tragically, and horribly."

Today, for both the elites of big business and the elites of socialism and open borders, illegal immigrants make up a new "peculiar institution" who live beyond the law and citizenship. Illegal immigrants are our new slaves. The powers that be on the political right and left who want amnesty or a guest workers program support the new slave holders. We may be living in a time that is analogous to the 1860s.

Predictions of a new civil war are posted already on the liberal blogs. A writer for The Democratic Underground Forum predicted that, "The U. S. is being rattled apart...I don't see a "coming together"...anytime in the near future, if anything politicians are banking on the severe division within the country to get elected and corporations are getting rich off of it...Soon there will be no "middle" and the fight will be taken to the streets..."

What this writer fails to recognize is that it will be the issue of illegal immigration, not politics as usual, that will lead to violence in the streets. It will be illegal immigration that will rattle the country apart. Or, will it be that issue plus "a blundering generation of pompous, self-interested, fanatical politicians."

The conservative Doug McIntyre of Talk Radio 790 KABC has given up on the politicians who ignore the issue of illegal immigration. He rants, "I've talked so often about the border issue, I won't bore you with a rehash. It's enough to say this President has been a catastrophe...He doesn't believe in the sovereign borders of the country he's sworn to protect and defend."

McIntyre continues, "...his devotion to cheap labor for his corporate benefactors, along with his worship of multinational trade deals, makes an utter mockery of homeland security in a post 9-11 world. The President's January 7th, 2004 speech on immigration, his first trial balloon on his guest worker scheme, was a deal breaker for me."

A look backwards

Let's assume that a revisionist theory about the Civil War is true. The war was the result of a political struggle over high tariffs and taxes, not slavery or democratic ideals. The northern industrialists and bankers wanted to control the agricultural and slave economy of the southern states. What can we learn from such an explanation that applies to the crisis we are facing now over illegal immigration? We should look back in time so that we may see forward.

The weather may have left a lot to be desired the spring morning of April 12th, 1861. Fort Sumter is crowded and damp. The brass buttons on the uniform of U. S. Army Major Robert Anderson grow dull in the humid air around Charleston harbor. In command of Fort Sumter, Anderson does not know what the Confederate forces on shore have in mind.

At 4:30 a.m. Major Anderson finds out. A mortar round explodes over Fort Sumter. There is no going back, now. The words of Robert Toombs, secretary of state for Jefferson Davis, would be written soon in blood. "Legions now quiet will swarm out and sting us to death. It is unnecessary. It puts us in the wrong. It is fatal."

Could Major Anderson have known that in a few years over six hundred thousand Americans would be dead and the legacy of slavery would extend into the 21st century? How could he have foreseen the transformation of northern cities into ghettos or the rise of rap music?

How could Major Anderson realize that many years later immigrant families would move from their traditional urban neighborhoods in Chicago and Detroit to escape the waves of African-American immigration to northern cities, all because of the failure of reconstruction in the South.

The decision to fire on Fort Sumter marks the beginning of a trail that leads to housing projects lining south State Street in Chicago and 50 years of failed Democratic policies for public education across the nation. Is all this to be repeated in the cities of the North again, only this time with illegal immigrants speaking Spanish? Motown may not be ready yet to accept a mariachi jazz band.

In 1859 the politicians debated slavery, taxes and tariffs. Self interest prevented many of them from finding solutions to these problems, even though the lives of thousands would hang in the balance. So, too, in 2006 other politicians debate citizenship and open borders while the lives of thousands are transformed. Again, party politics masks the growing tension in the lives of many Americans.

A look forward

Imagine the fiction that in a few years a jet descends into the caramel colored smog over Los Angeles International Airport. Roger Carter of The United States Marshals Service looks at his badge, then out the jet's window. The badge still has the luster it had the first day he took his oath.

Marshal Carter is due to pick up Antonio Zapata and escort him to stand trial in New York. Finally, one of the most notorious leaders of a Mexican drug gang operating in the U. S. will be brought to justice. Zapata is Federal property, now, Carter says to himself, as the plane touches down. In spite of this, the marshal is troubled by reports that al-Qaida has infiltrated the Mexican drug gangs.

Perhaps the Second Civil War will start the moment U. S. Marshal Carter tries to enforce Federal law in Los Angeles. That act will be like another Fort Sumter, but this time with salsa. Los Angeles and the surrounding counties had become part of Mexico for all practical purposes, because the federal government had refused to do its duty and secure the borders of the U. S. The Mexicans living in L. A. want no part of gringo law enforcement officers.

When U. S. Marshals try to move Zapata to the airport, a renegade Mexican Army unit prevents his extradition. Shots are fired. One U. S. Marshal is killed. The Mexicans view Zapata as a hero, because he used his drug fortune to set up a free hospital for illegal immigrants near San Diego. They spirit him over the porous border to Baja California and safety. The next day, the Sons of Monteczuma are on the move.

There are mass demonstrations against the "federales." Telemundo broadcasts images of stores burning on Rodeo Drive. Echoing the speech of Daniel Webster, the cry goes out among the Anglos, "English and Citizenship, now and forever, one and inseparable!"

In a few years thousands will be dead because the U. S. and Mexico war against one another. Taking advantage of this conflict, al-Qaida operatives already in the U. S. begin terrorists attacks. Legions long quiet swarm out and sting us.

When President Heather Radwan, a Democrat, approves the deportation of all illegal aliens as part of a policy to undermine a nationalist, third party presidential candidate, riots break out in more U. S. cities with large Latino and Mexican populations. Eventually, China sends aid and soldiers to Mexico to help in the settlement of illegal immigrants along the U. S.-Mexico border.

Just as President Lincoln could not solve the problem of slavery without freeing the slaves, President Radwan could not solve the problem of illegal immigration without deporting those who were in the country illegally. Yet, what should have been done could not be done until it was too late. It is unfortunate for nations, but sometimes politics does not keep pace with logic.

To keep some semblance of urban order, unemployed veterans from the Iraq war, trained in urban combat, patrol the downtown streets of Chicago and New York with the help of the newly formed National Defense Corps. They do this in spite of the sanctuary city policy renewed by the Mexican born mayor of Chicago, Antonio Emanuel Ortiz.

After years of unrest, Massachusetts and Oregon refuse to deport illegal immigrants or to collect Federal taxes as a protest against martial law. Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans offer a candidate for election with the vision of Abraham Lincoln.

The closest any third party presidential candidate comes to victory is the Nationalist Party candidate, Senator Kevin Frost. He will be remembered for saying, "There is in the heart of some liberals a death wish--a desire to erase the past. In their zeal to erase injustice they will erase everything." This insight into motives proves him right, but it does not earn him votes.

Soon, most of the nation's cities are in turmoil, as minority group after minority group sides with the illegal immigrants. The union does not hold and the nation splits apart. The supermall that America had become, stocked with cheap Chinese goods, is now closed.

Following four years of civil war, a consortium of major international corporations lead by U. S. auto makers, enforces a peace. That peace is good for business and so the U. S. Constitution is suspended. Then, Russia, saved from waves of disastrous immigration by a long period of communism, closed borders and a depressed economy, emerges as the last stronghold of Western Civilization. The spirit of Dmitri Shostakovich comes home to roost.

If Russia can beat China to the moon and claim it as territory for the Orthodox West, then the Russians will command an insurmountable lead in the arms race. Back on earth, Alaskans, wanting nothing to do with Mexican politics, have already voted to become again part of Russia.

Hardly anyone remembers marshal Carter who died defending the Republicans at the battle of Bakersfield. Many others are forgotten, too, but cattle still roam the open range in what used to be Montana, and is now part of the New Canadian Territory." (Robert Klein Engler/AmericanDaily.com 7/6/06)

Mexican Drug Cartels Take Over U.S. Cities
Posted By: WAG on 6/27/2006 11:19:04 AM
Retired cop says Mexican drug cartels rig elections to take over U.S. cities

"Rep. Tom Tancredo's charge that Mexican drug cartels are buying up legitimate businesses in U.S. cities to launder money and using some of the proceeds to win local mayoral and city council seats for politicians who can shape the policies and personnel decisions of their police forces, has been backed up by a veteran gang investigator.

Richard Valdemar, a retired sergeant with the L.A. County sheriff's department and a longtime member of a federal task force investigating gang activity, went beyond the charges made by Tancredo, the chairman of the House Immigration Reform Caucus who has led the fight to secure America's southern border.

In fact, he cited first-hand experience in investigating attempts to take over seven cities in Los Angeles County – Southgate, Lynwood, Bell, Bell Gardens, Cudahy, Hawaiian Gardens and Huntington Park.

He also told WND in an exclusive interview that he has since become aware of similar efforts by Mexican drug cartels throughout the Southwest – in New Mexico, Arizona and Texas.

The stunning disclosures substantiate claims made by Tancredo in his new book, "In Mortal Danger: The Battle for America's Border and Security," in which he exposes what he has learned from meetings with law enforcement authorities regarding a concerted effort by the Mexican mafia and drug cartels to extend its corruptive influence in urban areas dominated by illegal alien populations.

Tancredo says some of these small cities have become hostile and dangerous places for legitimate law enforcement officials. Valdemar agrees, saying the sophisticated technique being employed in the U.S. was "invented in Mexico."

Valdemar, the grandson of legal Mexican immigrants and now a consultant to law enforcement agencies across the country on gang activity, explains how the operations work.

"In the typical scenario, a wealthy Mexican immigrant opens a business in a small town," he says. "It could be a very nice Mexican restaurant. He's well-dressed, speaks English, seemingly a real gentleman. He gets involved in the community. His business welcomes police officers with discounts. He makes friends with city officials and other businessmen. No one has any idea where his money comes from – the Mexican drug cartels."

Valdemar says the agent of the cartels often sets up other businesses – including the sale of cheap used tires and used autos. These businesses are used almost exclusively as fronts for laundering money.

Then he begins targeting political power in the town. When election time rolls around, Valdemar says, he sponsors – directly or indirectly – a number of candidates for the city council with the express purpose of winning a majority of seats for his handpicked operatives. Some of the candidates are simply in place to level baseless accusations against incumbents, while others keep above the fray, positioning themselves for victory.

As soon as they take power, the new majority fires the city attorney and names a replacement. Often the second city official to go is the city manager. Both of these moves are designed to cover up the illicit activities that will follow.

City contracts for trash collection and other services are given to friendly businesses – also in league with the cartel. Regulations on auto-repair businesses and alcohol sales are lifted – again, making it easier for cartel-tied businesses to operate more freely. Gambling ordinances are changed to permit casinos and bingo parlors. Loan sharking, prostitution and increased drug business follow – all of which increase revenues for the cartels and power for their agents in the city.

Valdemar says very few prosecutions are successful because of the wealth and political ties of those involved. The situation in the Southwest is grave, he says, and the problem is spreading nationwide.

"We lost California," the Arizona resident says. "That's why I don't live there any more."

Tancredo, who blew the whistle on the growing power of the Mexican drug cartels and Mexican mafia in his book, "In Mortal Danger," explains who is behind the plot.

"The Tijuana-based Felix drug cartel and the Juarez-based Fuentes cartel began buying legitimate business in small towns in Los Angeles County in the early 1990s," he writes. "They purchased restaurants, used-car lots, auto-body shops and other small businesses. One of their purposes was to use these businesses for money-laundering operations. Once established in their community, these cartel-financed business owners ran for city council and other local offices. Over time, they were able to buy votes and influence in an effort to take over the management of the town. They wanted to create a comfort zone from which they could operate without interference from local law enforcement."

Tancredo, now a powerful force within Congress for opposing amnesty plans for illegal aliens and for promoting tougher border security measures, points in his book to the L.A. County city of Bell Gardens – where corrupt elected officials under the influence of drug lords actually tried to shut down the police department.

"City officials who would not cooperate with the Mexican-born city manager were forced out of office," he writes. "Eventually, the L.A. County attorney's office moved in, and the city manager was prosecuted on charges of corruption. Unfortunately, Bell Gardens was only the tip of the iceberg. Other Los Angeles suburbs – including Huntington Park, Lynwood and Southgate – became targets for the cartels."

Tancredo, too, cites similar efforts under way to undermine law and order by Mexican criminal gangs in Texas, Arizona and elsewhere.

"The corruption spreading from south of the border is not confined to Southern California," he writes. "In Cameron County, Texas, the former sheriff and several other officials were recently convicted of receiving drug-smuggling bribes. In Douglas, Arizona – where the international border runs down the middle of the town and divides it from its sister city of Agua Prieta, Mexico – the mayor's brother was discovered to have a tunnel from one of his rental properties going into Mexico."

Tancredo reports he has had confidential briefings with top officials in big-city law enforcement who say there are entire cities under the virtual control of Mexican criminal street gangs and their associated businesses, in some cases, making it dangerous for county, state and national law enforcement officers to venture in and rendering any interdepartmental cooperation impossible.

This under-reported aspect of the immigration and border problem is just one of the reasons Tancredo believes the U.S., as a nation, is "in mortal danger" as the debate over solutions rages on in Washington.

Throughout "In Mortal Danger," Tancredo, the undisputed heavyweight champion of the border security issue in the nation's capital, tells the whole story of the threats facing the nation, the solutions within its grasp and his own personal quest to awaken the political establishment to the seething discontentment gripping America as a result of illegal immigration.

Reflections on July 4th, 2006
by Bruce W. Cain

So it has been (2006 - 1776) 230 years since our Founding Fathers (Franklin, Jefferson, Washington) signed the Declaration of Independence. The primary complaint against King George III was that the British Crown was taxing the American colonists without the consent, or representation of the American colonists. This became a declaration of War against the British Crown which resulted in our independence from Great Britain.

It is often overlooked that this new republic was designed, not by Christians, but rather freemasons. Every major contributor to the Constitution and Bill of Rights were Masons who placed "right knowledge" above all else. The planners behind the Boston Tea Party were also primarily Masons. And this "right knowledge", that the Masons so highly regarded, basically required that all ideas must be challenged in order to determine the truth. But the truth would no longer be determined by some political judgment on the part of the Church, the king or some other form of dictatorship. Instead the "truth" would be determined by free, exhaustive inquiry. The "truth" would have to stand up to the scrutiny of scientific analysis and more importantly the scientific method.

In the political arena "truth" would also be distilled through exhaustive debate. Ideas could no longer be considered out of hand "just because" the Church or State deemed them heretical or seditious.

It is no coincidence that these new "freemen" would produce a Constitution where freedom of thought and expression would be so paramount. For without freedom of thought and expression the search for "truth" would quickly become compromised.

It is largely because our founding fathers held "right knowledge" and "self inquiry" in such high regard that the Bill of Rights provided protections for free speech and for a separation between Church and State. It was a document of humanitarian tolerance that pushed the limits of state freedom far beyond anything seen since before the beginnings of the Dark Ages.

But our founding fathers were not the first cultural tradition to understand and value the symbiotic relationship that exists between freedom of thought and the quest for objective truth. They are from a long lineage of philosophers whose ideas came back into vogue during the Enlightenment. It was during this period that the literalist dogma of the Catholic Church was forced to give way to the scientific method and the scientific proof. For the first time in centuries the wisdom of the Church could be challenged. The universe no longer revolved around the Earth as the Catholic Church had maintained. People could begin talking freely amongst themselves, without the fear of being labeled a witch or a heretic.

But the free thinking of the Enlightenment was actually a renaissance of much earlier traditions that also highly valued self knowledge. The scientific method, for example, has been ascribed to the Greek Philosopher Pythagoras. The string that connects all of these traditions is the quest for "right knowledge" - to see things as they really are, and not through the blinders of some literalist or political dogma. Examples of these traditions are easily found among the world's mystery religions.

Zen Buddhism is a good example. In fact the transliteration of Zen, as in Zen Buddhism, means "as it is." In simple terms Zen Buddhism is about seeing things the way they really are and not through the lens of some political dogma whether it is racist or classist.

The Gnostic Christians, which Jesus has been associated, is another good example. The term "Gnostic" literally means knowledge. The Gnostic Christians were searchers for knowledge. The fact that these similar philosophies evolved in so many places makes one wonder if the source of this knowledge lies somewhere deep within our very DNA and accessible for anyone to rediscover.

Another common aspect connecting these traditions, of free thought, is an unwavering faith that increasing our understanding of the world will help us evolve, both as an individual and as a society.

Unfortunately there aren’t many of these “free thinkers” left in either house of Congress. Most of them barely bat an eye as they watch the sovereignty of this country evaporate through NAFTA, CAFTA, GATT and other legislation.

At the same time the Bush Administration is attempting to create a “North American Union” which could spell the end for US Citizenship and US sovereignty. And unfortunately our Congress is aiding and abetting this conspiracy against their constituents, the American people.

So as we celebrate this Fourth of July, we are in a position, similar to what was experienced 230 years ago: we are no longer being represented by our government. And the electoral system is rigged to only allow “elite approved” candidates to reach the November ballots. The “checks and balances” that once protected us from the elite are slowly being ignored and circumvented. Both the President and Congress are working behind the backs of the American people in their struggle to implement the North American Union and other policy directives that are assured to eviscerate the meaning of US citizenship. It is time to take a stand.

230 years ago the problem was King George the Third. Today the problem is President George the Second. In both cases it will be necessary to depose these despots in order to preserve our sovereignty and our liberties.

The Bush administration is but another example of a literalist tradition that thrives on cultivating ignorance among its people so they can be led to the slaughter for the benefit of the few. The stakes are too high to allow this cabal to prevail. We need to reestablish our reverence for “truth” and reassert the principles that the early philosophers taught us. We need to depose our current leaders and resurrect the spirit of freedom that was once practiced in our interpretation of the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Hopefully our efforts will not be too late.

Comment on Lou Dobb’s Immigration Syllogism
By Bruce W. Cain

I just finished reading this interview on 911 between Attorney Stanly Hilton and Alex Jones:

Transcript: Alex Jones Interviews Stanley Hilton about Bush and 911
http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/september2004/130904hiltontranscript.htm

In this interview Stanly Hilton makes a convincing case that the Bush Administration had a role in the planning and execution of the 911 terrorist plot.

I finally read the thing through and it's weird. This guy makes some incredibly good points that would compel just about anyone into further inquiry. The only reason that this isn't tugging at the conscience of the American public is because they aren't being exposed to these major disconnects between facts and reality regarding 911. And of course the corporate controlled media play a very large role in this regard.

The problem is that both opinion and reaction are being controlled through both omission and a convenient selection of facts (e.g., cherry picking) by a media that is controlled by global economic interests. The goal is to obfuscate the discussion of various policy initiatives, being promulgated by a global economic elite, to ultimately force policies that are at extreme odds with the interests of the governed: the American working class. But since the American public is only being told part of the story they remain clueless as their futures are being sold off to foreign interests at mere pennies on the dollar.

Take immigration as an example. The other day I was watching this "debate" that was hosted by a Hispanic commentator for McNeil Leher. Lou Dobb's was the "whipping boy" for this panel. The debate was held at a recent Hispanic summit. I had to laugh when I heard a Pro-Amnesty panelists deferring to Lou Dobbs. He said something like:

'Of course I think we should be increasing the personal and equipment that is necessary to help secure the border, Lou. But we also need to be moving toward a comprehensive immigration bill.'

Of course this is bullshit, because he knows that a border fence, by itself, will do "nada" to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into this country. What is most important is what they really don't want to discuss: a central repository of Social Security information that all employers would be required to access in order to verify the legitimacy of each employers Social Security number. Why? Because this is the holy grail for those that really want control of our borders. And the last thing that these globalists want to see is an efficient, economical system that truly ferrets out the illegal workers.

If implemented millions of job openings would soon appear for American workers in the landscaping and meat processing industries. Wages would go up and there would increased pressure to humanize these jobs instead of ignoring issues of dangerous working conditions through the use of illegal coerced labor. There would also be millions of skilled job openings as foreign MBA's and IT workers are sent home permanently for over-staying there Visas. And isn't about time that the American worker won for a change? I think you would also begin to see 4th generation farming technologies applied to grape picking and other labor intensive farming occupations in very short order.

About a month ago, on Lou Dobbs, a think tank estimated that such a system would only cost a mere 2.5 billion over the next five years and would effectively compel the forced repatriations of at least 50% of the 10-20 million illegal aliens currently residing in this country. When you consider that the up-front monthly costs of the Iraq debacle are nearly 6 billion per month, and that the border fence will cost at least 6 billion to build and billions more to staff . . . this employee identification system is a undeniable bargain. It would also be nearly 100% effective and would avoid the other stupid, expensive, Orwellian alternative: biometric Id's.

I think we have reached a point where we can be easily assured that any idea coming from the Bush Administration will always be more about rewarding political supporters than about forging sound public policy. And these Bush "policy initiatives" will almost always have two other common attributes: (1) screwing the working class, while disproportionately rewarding the rich, and (2) chipping away at the Constitution by weakening protections for both personal liberties and national soveiregnty.

So what it truly amazing here is how far the corporate-controlled media has gone to uniformly massage and distort the structure of this debate in a way that favors the globalists and ignores the collateral damage that this is having on the working class. How could it be that every member of the print, radio and television media could consistently ignore the most effective tool for regulating and controlling immigration?

And what all of us are missing is that Lou Dobb's may be unwittingly aiding and abetting the globalists. Let me explain.

On his show he regularly re-emphasizes the following argument or, as Lou Dobbs likes to call it, syllogism. He regularly makes the following "boiler plate" statement:

"I have said straightforwardly that we cannot reform immigration law and policy if we cannot control immigration. And we cannot control immigration if we cannot secure our borders and our ports."     http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/04/10/schwarzenegger/index.html

I would argue that his conclusion, "we cannot control immigration if we cannot secure our borders," calls attention away from the most effective solution to the problem of illegal immigration: "verifying the legal working status of every employee through a "social security number based" employee identification system. Though Lou Dobb's has supported this approach, numerous times on his show, it is not being conveyed to the public through the parroting of this syllogism.

Perhaps he needs to change his "boiler plate" statement to something like this:

"I have said straightforwardly that we cannot reform immigration law and policy if we cannot control immigration. And we cannot control immigration if we cannot do two things: (1) secure our borders and our ports; (2) institute a mandatory "employee identification system" based on the key identifier for every legal American citizen: our Social Security Number."

I do realize it takes a few more words. But the clarity and comprehensiveness are definitely worth those few extra words.

So whether we are talking about 911, Immigration, Social Security or some other contemporary issue there is something to be learned here. I think a key to our effectiveness, as activists, lies in countering the corporate controlled media propaganda with concise counter arguments that highlight the most important features of our alternative policy proposals. The elite have always been effective in the use of such "sound bytes" with one important difference: their concise arguments are designed to obscure -- not highlight -- the often high cost that their policies exact on the American worker. Can anyone say NAFTA?

First, secure our borders

Editor's note: Arnold Schwarzenegger was invited to appear on "Lou Dobbs Tonight" to discuss immigration, but he declined.

Manage Alerts | What Is This? (CNN) -- California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger today called our current immigration system "bad policy" in a Wall Street Journal editorial.

As the leader of the largest border state on the frontline of the illegal immigration crisis, Gov. Schwarzenegger today for the first time partially adopted the position I've advocated for the past two years: First, secure our borders, then deal with the illegal immigration crisis.

I've repeatedly called for immigration overhaul that's humane, reasonable and effective.

I have said straightforwardly that we cannot reform immigration law and policy if we cannot control immigration. And we cannot control immigration if we cannot secure our borders and our ports.

Shamelessly pandering to the readership of the Wall Street Journal editorial pages, Gov. Schwarzenegger invokes Ronald Reagan's name to declare that we can have immigration policies that both strengthen our borders and welcomes immigrants.

No, Governor, we can't. National security requires that we control our borders and our ports. So does a rational, humane and effective immigration policy. Both flow from secure borders.

I repeat, Governor, until we first secure our borders, you can do nothing to resolve our illegal immigration crisis.

Middle-class working men and women in your state and around the nation are paying the price, while illegal employers are enjoying the benefits and profits of illegal immigration.

You know full well your public schools in California are overcrowded, principally because of illegal immigration. Illegal immigration has forced the closing of emergency rooms, clinics and hospitals in your state.

Governor, were you talking about me when you said, "How ironic it is to hear some of the same voices who complain about the outsourcing of jobs also complain about the use of immigrant workers here in America"?

If so, be a man, Governor, use names. You know my name. And don't call illegal aliens "immigrants." You insult legal immigrants when you do.

You know as well as I do that I've never complained about "immigrant workers" in this country, only illegal aliens and illegal employers who break the law.

Just so we're clear about the connection between illegal labor in this country and the outsourcing of jobs to cheap foreign labor markets: Both are part of corporate America's drive to lower wages in this country for middle-class working men and women.

And when you talk about "the use of immigrant workers here in America," you sound more like one of those corporatists that dominate our political system right now than a leader of all of the people in your state.

You know, including the tens of millions of legal citizens that happen to live in California.

Dobbs: President and Senate allied with 'corporate supremacists'

Editor's note: Lou Dobbs' commentary appears every Wednesday on CNN.com.

Lou Dobbs says if Bush and the Senate win on immigration, it will be a victory for "corporate supremacists."

NEW YORK (CNN) -- The U.S. Senate and House of Representatives are set to take action on legislation that could determine the financial and social fate of nearly every American for the next 20 years.

The Senate and House are scheduled to go into conference later this month to reconcile the significant differences between each chamber's so-called comprehensive immigration reform legislation.

If President Bush, the Republican leadership of the Senate and Senate Democrats have their way, 11 million to 20 million illegal aliens will receive amnesty, and at least 60 million new immigrants will be allowed into the country over the next two decades.

In addition, the Senate legislation will cost the United States as much as a half-trillion dollars in administrative, social and health care costs over those two decades, according to estimates by the Heritage Foundation. The Congressional Budget Office has just released its own analysis of the legislation, and it concludes that nothing in the Senate bill will end the overwhelming torrent of illegal immigration.

It is far too early to tell whether the House of Representatives has the political will and courage to stand against the upper chamber of Congress and President Bush. If the House fails in its duty to represent the will of American citizens, our nation will be forever changed.

"The will of the people," Thomas Jefferson said, "is the only legitimate foundation of any government." But if President Bush and the Senate prevail, it will be a clear victory for corporate supremacists, advocacy groups and dominant special interests and a historic defeat for our middle-class working men and women and their families.

Our largest and least represented group of citizens in Washington cannot even be assured that our elected representatives in the House and the Senate will pursue the national interest and secure our borders and ports. And that is a travesty.

What is the will of the people? Ask any member of Congress who has returned from his or her district and there is no doubt their constituents demand border security and an end to illegal immigration.

In the last week, the Lou Dobbs Tonight broadcast commissioned a poll to gauge the will of the people on the issues of illegal immigration and border security. As far as I know, it is the most comprehensive national poll that has been conducted in decades on these issues. Polling company Opinion Research Corporation interviewed 1,031 adult Americans representing every region of the country and all walks of life.

Our exclusive poll was constructed with no other motive than to ascertain how Americans are thinking about every aspect of our illegal immigration and border security crises. The margin of error for the poll is plus or minus 3 percentage points; it is 4.5 percentage points for the half-sample questions.

The first conclusion is not particularly surprising. There isn't great optimism that there will even be a so-called comprehensive reform legislation at all:

How confident are you that Congress and President Bush will pass new laws on immigration and border security that will improve the way the country handles this issue -- very confident, fairly confident, not very confident, or not confident at all?

June 8-11
Very confident 11%
Fairly confident 24%
Not very confident 29%
Not confident at all 33%
No opinion 3%

As to the issue of border security and employer sanctions, a strong majority of Americans favor imposing heavy fines on employers who hire illegal aliens. And they want more Border Patrol, federal law enforcement officers and National Guard troops along our southern border with Mexico:

Would you favor or oppose each of the following proposals:

JUNE 8-11
Favor Oppose No opinion
a. Building a fence along the 2,000-mile border
with Mexico 45% 50% 5%
b. Imposing fines of tens of thousands of dollars
on employers who hire illegal immigrants 60% 36% 4%
c. Sending employers who hire illegal immigrants
to jail 40% 55% 5%
d. Putting more Border Patrol and federal law
enforcement agents on the U.S. border with Mexico 78% 19% 3%
e. Sending National Guard troops to the U.S. border
with Mexico 56% 40% 4%

While 50 percent of those surveyed oppose building a fence along our southern border with Mexico, 45 percent agree, which is just within the margin of error.

While President Bush and a number of members of the Republican and Democratic leadership maintain that the federal government should not be deporting any illegal aliens back to their home countries, almost seven in 10 Americans believe we should:

Do you approve or disapprove of the U.S. government deporting illegal immigrants to the country they came from? (Asked of half the sample)

June 8-11
Approve 67%
Disapprove 25%
No opinion 8%

An overwhelming majority of Americans want illegal immigration decreased, with more than one-third of those surveyed favoring the removal of all illegal aliens from this country:

Would you like to see the number of illegal immigrants currently in this country increased, decreased, or remain the same? (Asked of half the sample)

June 8-11
Increased 2%
Remain the same 26%
Decreased 67%
No opinion 6%

Americans also acknowledge that the United States government is only partly to blame for our illegal immigration and border security crisis. Three-fifths of those surveyed think the Mexican government encourages the immigration of its citizens to this country; only 18 percent said it discourages its citizens. And 83 percent say Mexico has "not done enough" to help stop illegal drugs from coming here. I obviously agree, considering by far the largest amounts of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana enter the United States from Mexico.

Do you think the government of Mexico encourages or discourages illegal immigration of its citizens into the United States?

June 8-11
Encourages 59%
Discourages 18%
No opinion 24%

Do you think the government of Mexico is very responsible, somewhat responsible, not very responsible, or not responsible at all for the amount of illegal drugs currently coming into the United States? (Asked of half the sample)

June 8-11
Very responsible 32%
Somewhat responsible 36%
Not very responsible 14%
Not responsible at all 13%
No opinion 5%

The will of the American people is clear: Secure our borders and ports. Then end illegal immigration. America is now at a historic crossroads, and we're about to learn whether the first three words of our Constitution matter at all to this government.

Upcoming Lectures and Demonstrations

The Editor of New Age Citizen, is considering giving a series of lectures that challenge the current "Demopublican" plutocracy with policy alternatives that are more to the interests of the American working class.  The first lecture in the series will most likely address the current Immigration Reform measures that are being debated both in Congress and on the streets of America.

Lecture #001: No More Immigration: Legal or Illegal

This lecture will address the virtual propaganda surrounding the current immigration debate.  It will expose the larger agenda that is intent on destroying the middle class by attempting to merge the United States into a "North American Union" consisting of Mexico, Canada and the United States. The primary argument against immigration focuses on the inability of the United States to provide adequate sustainable resources for the 200 million additional immigrants that will exceed the carrying capacity of this great country by 2050.  The lecture will conclude that the best interests of legal American citizens will be served by implementing mandatory employer Social Security checks; punishing employers with extreme prejudice and putting an end to all Legal/Illegal immigration until the real wages of Americans is at or beyond what they were at their apex in 1973.  If you live in SE Michigan and are interesting in attending one of these activist lectures please send an email to get on our lecture list.

newagecitizenx@comcast.net

In addition to these lectures I am considering staging a demonstration against further immigration and Bush's agenda to destroy the American working class.  More on that in the near future.  Lastly, if you know of any Anti-Immigrant Demonstrations, anywhere in the US, let me know.  I will begin to post these on the website.

"New Agenda for America"

"New Agenda for America" will become a slogan for referring to the set of policy positions that NAC will be promoting in the coming years.  It refers to a disturbing trend whereby our elected representatives appear to be increasingly at odds with the values of the founding fathers of this country (e.g., Washington, Franklin, Jefferson) and the American people.

To get this off the ground I am creating a frames based page which will allow my visitors to both understand the rational behind New Age Citizen as well as the preliminary agenda for "New Agenda for America."  I will place a link to this at the top right hand corner of the homepage for now.  You can take a quick look by clicking below:

I'm interested to here your initial feedback on this new addition to the website.

Also, please read this article if you have not already done so.  Very illuminating stuff.
