I've been testing the waters lately by placing a magnetic bumper sticker on my car that states the following: Stop All Immigration: Legal and Illegal So far the response has been predictable. Drivers who see the sticker -- it IS kind of hard to miss -- regularly show support by flashing their headlights, beeping their horns or giving a "thumbs up" as they pass by. After Bush attempted to bamboozle the public on Monday (05/15/2006) I am confident that this is a message that more and more American workers will embrace. If they don't their economic future is going to be put in serious jeopardy as millions of Legal and Illegal Immigrants continue to pour into this country each year -- driving down American wages and benefits while simultaneously putting increasing strain on programs such as health care, border control and our judicial system. It is not that I am xenophobic. It is not that I am racist. I simply want to see America and it's legal residents enjoy a dignified future where the Corporate Elite no longer calls the shots. But that is exactly what is happening here. Bush has no intention of securing the borders. He made Monday's speech as a last ditch attempt to pass a Amnesty Bill that could allow over 20 million illegal immigrants to attain US citizenship. Sorry, but a $2,000 fine does not constitute "going to the back of the line." And since no money is really earmarked to halt the flow of illegal immigrants they will be asking to allow another 30 million in another couple of years. This is neither smart nor is it sustainable. I don't have time to go into detail at this point. But let me clue you in to 2 important items that are intentionally being kept out of the debate by the Corporate Controlled Media. First, the United States cannot possibly environmentally sustain the 200 million additional Legal/Illegal Immigrants that will pour into this country over the next 45 years. According to US Census figures the current trend in immigration is solely responsible for a population increase that will take us from 300 to 500 million by the year 2050. It is interesting to note that the only reason that the Sierra Club does not support immigration reform is because their primary donor threatened to withdraw all financial support IF they take a position to limit immigration into the United States. Why does the corporate controlled media refuse to allow this fact into the debate? Because it would make it clear just how stupid Amnesty will be: both in the short run and the long run. Secondly, we are avoiding talking about the most effective measure for stopping further illegal immigration: check the Social Security information on worker's W2 forms. Most Americans are unaware that over 90% of the illegal immigrants have had to commit federal misdemeanors in order to secure American jobs: crimes that are punishable by 6 months in prison. They have done this by purchasing fake identification papers, including a fake Social Security Number. All that is required to identify the illegal workers is to check their Social Security number against the federal database. If the Social Security number is a duplicate or a illegitimate number . . . the worker is flagged for further investigation. Bush's plan for Biometric ID's is more likely to be used against American Citizens and would be both expensive and unnecessary. Not only does this ferret out the illegal workers -- it also gives us the addresses of where they work and where they live. It is as simple as scooping fish out of a barrel. The only thing preventing this from happening is the corporate whores, of both parties, no longer listen to their constituency: the American people. Unfortunately the only company that currently checks the legal status of its employees is the AMC theatres. Here is an excerpt from "Lou Dobbs Tonight" (04/20/2006): JESSICA VAUGHAN, CENTER FOR IMMIGRATION STUDIES: The idea is, rather than rounding up people, to instead make it more likely that they're going to return to their home country on their own. SYLVESTER: A new study by the Center for Immigration Studies says if the United States were to vigorously enforce its immigration laws, illegal aliens would self-deport. The center's recommendations? Mandate employers check workers' legal status against Social Security records, stop the IRS from issuing tax I.D. numbers that illegal aliens use to open up bank accounts and get home mortgages, expand the U.S. visit program to include Mexicans and Canadians, and implement exit reporting at the border, and step up interior enforcement. UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: My research shows that we could reduce the size of the illegal alien population by about half in five years if we pursued a policy of attrition through enforcement. And that would cost only an additional $2 billion over five years. SYLVESTER: Critics say the federal government has actually been encouraging illegal immigration with years of neglecting U.S. laws. BILL LAUDERBACK, AMERICAN CONSERVATIVE UNION: If we were enforcing our immigration laws we have on the books, we wouldn't have the problem that we have today. SYLVESTER: A self-deportation policy would cost significantly less than amnesty. And while amnesty sends a message that invites more illegal aliens, proponents say enforcement would have the opposite effect. (END VIDEOTAPE) SYLVESTER: Now, some immigration analysts argue that there are illegal aliens who will never voluntarily leave the United States because of the poor conditions in their home countries. But CIS says that illegal workers came to the United States for the jobs, and if you take away the magnet, that will not only reduce the numbers, but also deter future illegal immigration -- Kitty. PILGRIM: Some of this, as you say, is just pure common sense. SYLVESTER: And it's just a matter if they have the political will to do this. It wouldn't be difficult to do many of these things that they suggest, but Congress and the administration so far has not been willing to. PILGRIM: Thanks very much. Center for Immigration Studies: http://www.cis.org/ If you agree that we should be checking all US employee's Social Security Numbers, as a means to identify illegal immigrant workers, please contact your Federal Representatives (see link below) and paste the following into your letter: Dear Congressman: If you expect to get re-elected I strongly suggest that you do not sign any law that could possibly be interpreted as giving Amnesty to Illegal Immigrant workers who have committed federal crimes in order to secure jobs within the United States. That means no Kennedy or McCain Bill's. We will be paying attention.
Furthermore, we want to see the following implemented immediately: * Mandate that employers check workers' legal status against Social Security records

That is less than we pay each week for the mindless incursion into Iraq that has resulted in the needless death of 2,400 American soldiers. AMC theatres are currently utilizing this system and we fully expect that every single US company better be doing this before the next presidential election. Otherwise you may not be coming back to Washington. This is an important time to think about who you want to serve: the corporate plutocracy or the American worker. If you continue to support the plutocracy I can only hope that they have a job waiting for you -- because you will not get re-elected. The thesis: This Port deal is important to the architects of a global one world corporate government: the WTO, the World Bank and the IMF. If the "UAE Port Deal" does not go through they are worried that it could cause a cascading crescendo against the destructive move towards a one world corporate theocracy.
Yes, the blind faith in laissez-faire Capitalism is also a presumptuous faith based religion, of which we should also be extremely circumspect. In this case the American public's rejection, of UAE controlled ports, could jeopardize the MEFTA (Mideast Free Trade Agreement), the latest tentacle in the evolving set of FTA's (Free Trade Agreements). It could also call into question the entire globalization strategy that is already crumbling in Central and South America.
Of course we have already seen the destruction of millions of jobs from the earlier tentacles of these FTA's: NAFTA, CAFTA etc. Now, not only are these Multinational Corporate Traitors (GE, Microsoft, Ford Motor, etc.) willing to sacrifice more US jobs . . . now they are willing to jeopardize our National Security as well.
And don't think for a microsecond that the Democrats are really going to help out, beyond a symbolic set of gestures. I was recently at an Arabic Trade Summit that was held in Dearborn at the Fairlane Club. Though touted to be focused on "Mideast and African Trade" it was truly dedicated solely to trade with the UAE and Saudi Arabia. I was awestruck when, during the meeting, Jewish Democratic Senator Carl Levin made a speech via cell phone, from his DC office. His speech was a rubber stamp for MEFTA. Democratic Congressman John Dingle was also slated to speak.
But you would never know this from watching CNN. Here is how Levin is positioned to speak on Lou Dobb's (sho airs 02/27/2006):
“Homeland Insecurity: Sen. Carl Levin says the Bush administration ignored the law requiring a complete national security review of the port deal. He joins us. And, a port security consultant tells us why she says handing operational control of our ports over to the United Arab Emirates poses no threat to security.”

During this meeting I voiced my opposition to any further immigration or trade agreements with the Mid East and especially Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
In point of fact I am opposed to any further legal or illegal immigration, into the United States, until both mean and median real wages and benefits rise above the peak levels that occurred in 1973: it has been downhill since.
The next day I got a extremely rare death threat, via email, in the form of an Aesop fable: "The Owl and the Grasshopper." When I attempted to contact the sender I found that the email account was no longer active. Later I found that the owl is a religious idol worshipped by one of the "secret societies" associated with globalists such as the Illuminati and the World Bank.
I highly doubt that either of these representatives [Senator Levin (D, MI) or Rep. Dingle (D, MI)] would like to be publicly associated with their support for MEFTA. But they really didn't think someone like me would be attending such a meeting. The charge for attending was $30 and the only other attendees were businesses, the Department of Commerce and Arab business lobbyists.
The point that I am trying to drive home is this: Do not think that the media will not inoculate the public with reasons to accept this UAE Port Deal over the next couple of weeks. Do not think that traitors like Levin will try to "grandstand" this issue, acting like they are protectors of US jobs for American (not foreign) workers. Just like Justice Alito, CAFTA, the Bankruptcy Bill, the Prescription Drug Bill, etc., the media will brainwash the American public into reluctant acceptance of a further erosion of American Sovereignty. And the politicians (e.g., Levin and Dingle) will act like they are protecting American interests and jobs, while doing the complete opposite. And in the end both Democratic and Republican representative will cave in and rubber stamp the UAE Port Deal because of pressure from their "corporate sponsors." If we want to change course it will be up to us.
To that end I am preparing a 1 hour presentation that is currently going under the working title: "The Case Against Immigration: Legal and Illegal." I want to give this talk before audiances accross the state of Michigan and I want it to serve as an opportunity to rally against the Traitors who would sell out our future and security for the short term benefits of the Multinational Corporations. I love public speaking so the larger the venue, the better. I would be perfectly comfortable giving this talk at the Palace of Auburn Hills, but will be satisfied to start at the local VFW or AFL-CIO Hall. The UAE Port Deal is about both Security and derailing the Colonization of the United States by Foreign Governments and People. Of course the Corporate Controlled Media prefers that we relegate our energy to the first, as they are cooking up the disinformation to inoculate the malleable American public. What the Multination Elite fears is that we just might start focusing on the second concern: the colonization of the United States by Foreign Elites (Mid Eastern, Chinese, Indian, etc.).

If these articles are not enough "good news" consider that this 45 "UAE Port" Review may be nothing more than a Kabuki show (e.g., the sale is a done deal despite 80% disapproval by scientific polls of American workers).
I think what is interesting is the framing of the UAE Port Issue. They are trying to say it is all about National Security and then go on to argue that (1) even China owns vast berths within our harbors and (2) those that are uncomfortable about the deal must be Islamophobic.
What they don't want to see is this issue framed in terms of a foreign colonialization of the United States where American workers will find themselves at the mercy of foreign born employers. If this reality permeates the media, as it should, there just might be a small chance that we can reclaim this republic
