This section of "New Age
Citizen" will be dedicated to uncover various issues concerning the
Middle-Eastern (ME) community in Dearborn, Dearborn Heights and the
larger area of SE Michigan. It is also intended to educate the
Non-ME community about the very real threats that radical Islamic
groups, such as CAIR, pose to a free society.
While I personally believe that most
ME's are upstanding citizens of this great republic, it is also obvious
that there is a minority that is defrauding the system, is involved in
organized crime and is pushing for the "Islamification" of the United
States.
While I fully respect the practice of all religions I also believe
that where ever there is a conflict between the Constitution and a
religious tradition, the Constitution must ALWAYS prevail.
Unfortunately there are far to many examples where Islamists
have demanded respect for their religion that is not available within
the context of a enlightened and free society. The violence that
erupted after the release of the "Mohammed with a Bomb on his Head"
cartoon is a perfect example.
"Dearborn-istan" is also consistent with 2 of the planks of the "New
Agenda for America":
Plank 2: A 20-year moratorium on all immigration into the
United States. Plank 5: A strict enforcement on issues of Separation of Church
and State.
As with the NAC homepage, we will be archiving the older articles and
listing the new stuff at this page. Hopefully, this will lead to
an integration of the ME community in a way that preserves the
inalienable rights to free speech as enumerated in the US Constitution
and Bill of Rights.
This edition of
"Dearbornistan" grew out of an inquiry into the historic fiction novel
"Jewel of Medina" by Sherry Jones. As a ardent believer in free
speech this story caught my interest because Random House, the
publisher, withdrew the book after Muslim extremists threatened to blow
up the publishing company if they released the book I was so
angry about this that I wrote to the Imam of the largest mosque in the
United States -- Hassan Al-Qazwini, who heads the Islamic Center for
America in Dearborn.
The question I asked
of Hassan Al-Qazwini was both simple and direct:
Do you believe, that in a free society, such censorship should be
tolerated? Secondly, can we count on you to denounce the threat of
violence by Muslims over this, and other (e.g., the Mohammed Cartoon)
expressions of free speech?
I was truly hoping
that the Imam would have given me an affirmative and unambiguous
response but he did not. Instead his reply was ambiguous and he
further questioned my support of free speech:
Thank you for your e-mail. I believe in freedom of speech, only if you
believe in it. In this free society, we have witnessed several cases in
which freedom of speech has been denied. One main example is the US
government's decision to ban al-Manar satellite TV that broadcasts from
the Middle East. [click here for complete
transcript of all letters]
But when I did some
research on al-Manar
satellite TV I discovered that it is banned throughout the free
world because it advocates the overthrow of ALL non-Muslim governments.
This bothered me greatly. At best, comparison between "The Jewel
of Medina" and "al-Manar" is fallacious, as the book in no way promotes
attacks on Muslims. At worst the Imam is implying that al-Manar
satellite TV should be viewed through the satellite dishes of Muslims in
Dearborn and Dearborn Heights. Now that is a very scary thought
indeed.
As a result of this
correspondence I decided to focus on the radicalization of mosques in
Great Britain and the United States. The following link will take
you to a series of videos that indisputably document how British Mosques
are hiding their radical agenda, of World Islamic Domination, behind a
thin veneer of political correctness:
I highly recommend
that you watch all of the videos at this link (above) as I think it
gives some clues as to the Saudi-sponsored radicalization that is also
happening throughout mosques in the United States.
It turns out that
this radicalization is being funded by one of George Bush's best friends
Saudi Arabia. Next I turned my attention to mosques in the United
States and found that Saudis
have radicalized 80% of US mosques through the investment of
billions of dollars into mosques and Muslim PACs such as CAIR.
More detail on this
should be coming out soon when the group "Mapping Sharia" comes out with
their report on the radicalization of US Mosques in October:
The Mapping Sharia project is an
extensive mapping of all the mosques and Islamic day schools in the U.S.
to determine which ones teach or preach Islamic law, or Sharia. Further,
the mapping will scale the Sharia threat by identifying the level of
Sharia adherence, the presence of literature and videos calling for
violent Jihad, and whether imams and Islamic scholars advocate violent
Jihad against non-believers. The project started in early 2007 and has
now completed research on over 140 mosques across the United States.
Dave Gaubatz, Director of Operations for the Mapping Sharia Project, is
a former federal agent and counter-terrorism specialist, who has served
in Iraq. The Mapping Sharia team is comprised of Muslim, Jewish and
Christian researchers. For more information, visit

I am confident that
anyone that takes a few hours to read through these articles, and watch
the accompanying videos, will come away with a deserved cynicism toward
Islam as "the religion of peace." If you live in Dearborn or
Dearborn Heights, I hope that you will encourage your fellow residents
to also assimilate all of the articles on this page. And once you
have been informed I am hopeful that you will join me in calling for a
20year moratorium on ALL immigration, into the United States, in order
to defuse (pun intended) the rise of Islamic Extremism throughout the
United States.
'If
liberty means anything, it means the right to tell people what they do
not want to hear'."George Orwell
The following quote
summarizes why "Jewel of Medina" MUST be published and distributed
irrespective of the fallout. It the United States is going to hold
to it's mantle of "the land of the free, the home of the brave" there is
not alternative:
"It is everybody's business to ensure
that no one is deprived of their right to say what they wish, even if it
is deemed by some to be offensive. In a plural society it is both
inevitable and important that people offend others. Inevitable, because
where different beliefs are deeply held clashes are unavoidable and
these should be dealt with openly rather than suppressed. Important
because any kind of social progress requires one to offend some deeply
held sensibilities. 'If liberty means anything," as George Orwell put
it, "it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear'."

In the following
account Martin Rynja, who agreed to publish the book after Random
House caved in, had his home firebombed by Muslim extremists in London.
Author Sherry Jones explains why Random House Publishing cancelled The
Jewel of Medina, her book on the prophet Muhammad's wife A'isha.

Three men seized by armed anti-terrorist officers during an apparent
arson attack on the London publisher of a novel featuring the prophet
Muhammad were being questioned last night.
In a "pre-planned" operation, detectives arrested the suspects outside
the home of Martin Rynja in Islington, north London, after a petrol bomb
reportedly exploded. Neighbours described seeing smoke before firemen
broke down the front door.
The attack was believed to be linked to the forthcoming publication of
The Jewel of Medina, a fictionalised account of the relationship between
Muhammad and his child bride A'isha.
The book, described by the independent publisher, Gibson Square, as a
"historical novel of the love story", has been at the centre of a
growing international dispute.
Due to have been published by Random House, it was dropped from its
summer list for fear that it would anger Muslims. That decision was
condemned by Sir Salman Rushdie, author of The Satanic Verses, as
"censorship by fear".
Rynja, 44, who runs Gibson Square from his home, could not be contacted
yesterday. He was reported to be under police guard.
Announcing his decision to publish the book earlier this year, he said:
"In an open society there has to be open access to literary works,
regardless of fear. As an independent publishing company, we feel
strongly that we should not be afraid of the consequences of debate."
Sherry Jones, the American journalist who wrote The Jewel of Medina, has
denied that her work would provoke a violent response.
"To claim that Muslims will answer my book with violence is pure
nonsense," she told a German newspaper.
"Anyone who reads the book will see that it honours the prophet and his
favourite wife." Much of the controversy has focused on the description
of the relationship between the two.
Detectives are understood to have warned Rynja before the attack about
possible threats.
Scotland Yard said: "[In the early hours of Saturday] officers from the
counter-terrorism command arrested three men under the Terrorism Act
2000 in a pre-planned, intelligence-led operation.
"The men, aged 40, 22 and 30, were arrested on suspicion of the
commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism. Two of the
men were stopped by armed officers and arrested in the street outside a
property in Lonsdale Square, and the third following an armed vehicle
stop near Angel tube.
"A small fire was extinguished at a property in Lonsdale Square, which
at this early stage is being linked to the arrests of the men." Officers
were also searching four London addresses, two in Walthamstow, one in
Ilford and another in Forest Gate, all in east London.
Unfortunately this
cancer is not just being spread by Islamic Extremists. The awful
truth is that the extremism is being financed and prompted by Saudi
Arabia who we finance through the purchase of over 700 Billion in oil
each and every year. So while we do need to fight jihadist
censorship the ultimate solution is to wean ourselves from any further
dependency on foreign oil or foreign investment. That is when the
tables will surely turn. In the meantime we continue to allow
Saudi Sovereign Wealth Funds to buy our banks and our businesses.
We continue to allow them to grant large sums of money, and thus buy
influence, in our Colleges and Universities. It is time that
Americans woke up to the very real threat of Islam to our Constitution
and the Separation between Church and State that it so wisely demands.
The following videos
provide further insight into the attempted Islamic Censorship of "The
Jewel of Medina" and other books and media that challenge the tenants of
Islamic extremism.
Dearborn's Islamic
community is having conniption fits over a brave group of Americans that
are finally standing up to Muslim Extremism in Dearborn. That is
because, on the 7th Anniversary of "911," they have decided to show a
free screening of the the enlightening film "Obsession: Radial Islam's
War Against the West." If you are interested in attending
tonight's showing you can get free tickets through the following link:
If you or someone you know lives in
Michigan (or the surrounding area) and are willing to stand in
solidarity with us and come out for this FREE screening of "Obsession"
this evening (6:00pm Eastern) then please join us at the AMC 21 -
Fairlane (Star Theaters) located at 18900 Michigan Avenue in Dearborn.

I had to laugh when I
read the Detroit Free Press this morning to hear their chief Islamic
apologist, Niraj Warikoo, covering this brave event:
Local religious leaders said the timing -- on the anniversary of the
Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks -- and locating it in Dearborn are part
of a divisive publicity stunt.
Called "Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West," the
documentary focuses on Islamic extremism, but critics say it's biased.
The film's producers and backers said through a spokesman they chose
Dearborn and the Sept. 11 date for the screening because of its sizable
Muslim population.
"There is a problem with an acceptance of radical Islam in Dearborn more
so than anywhere else than I know of," said Joe Wierzbicki, a spokesman
for a California-based public relations company hired to promote the
film.
But some Dearborn residents and religious leaders say the film's backers
are unfairly slandering the city and Muslims by screening it there on
Sept. 11. They urge residents to ignore it.
"It's a clear agenda to spread hate," said Victor Begg, a Muslim
activist who chairs the Council of Islamic Organizations of Michigan.
Brenda Rosenberg, a Jewish activist from Bloomfield Hills active in
interfaith work with Christians and Muslims, also criticized the film
and screening.
"We're feeding the fire by focusing on hate," she said. "We need to come
together instead."
The screening is set for 6 p.m. at the AMC Star Fairlane 21 in Dearborn.
A theater spokesperson did not respond to a call seeking comment.

Notice how "fair and
balanced" the article is? And do you really think their main
objection is the fact that it is being shown on the 7th Anniversary of
"911?" The real reason for their objection, to the showing of this
film, is because they are afraid that Americans will stop walking around
with their "eyes shut" and demand an end to further immigration from
Islamic countries. Now there's something that makes some real
sense.
But don't expect any
support from your elected representatives (e.g., Dingell, Levin, Conyers
or Michigan's Governor Granholm). They've been "in bed" with the
Middle Eastern Terrorists for years. I have witnessed, first hand,
as Dingell, Levin and Conyers have actually welcomed the prospect of
Middle Easterners to be allowed into this country to buy up our homes
and businesses. The fact that they would sacrifice our security by
actually encouraging such an economic assault is tantamount to treason.
And our state governor is no better.
In fact, Governor
Granholm may even be the worst of the lot. She has also encouraged
the Middle Eastern "colonization" of Michigan by encouraging these
terrorists to buy up our businesses and extend US citizenship to
goodness knows how many Middle Eastern millionaires. Lets just
consider some of the things she has done in the past couple of years:
* Consider the Middle Eastern
Activist, Ismael Ahmed, founder of ACCESS. Though ICE had
tried to deport him for years for terrorist involvement, Senator Carl
Levin and Rep.
David Bonior were more than happy to come to his aid. He had
also been implicated in Medicaid fraud involving Middle Eastern women
who had their babies in the US and then left the United States without
paying. But this did not stop Gov. Jennifer Granholm from
appointing Ismael Ahmed, (cofounder and executive director of the Arab
Community Center for Economic and Social Services), to the position
director of the Michigan Department of Human Services
(08/14/2007). I mean talk about allowing the fox to gaurd teh
chicken coup? And you just have to laugh when you hear what he
said about his appointment:
"I think the larger question is
poverty in Michigan," he said. "Right now there are tens of thousands of
people in need. There's almost a million and a half people in the food
supplement program, and almost as many on Medicaid. Then there is the
whole child welfare system that has to be improved. All these things are
important." [Detroit Free Press, August 14th, 2007].
So you can just be sure that he is
going to make sure that all the Illegal Mid-Easterners in SE Michigan
continue to get Medicaid when many were not born here and barely speak
English. I'm still trying to figure out how that can be
happening when so many American citizens are unable to receive ANY
assistance.
* Consider the recent Kuwait-Dow deal
that will allow hundreds of rich Kuwaiti's go move into Dearborn,
further pushing the area toward an Islamic majority.
* Consider the thousands of Iraqi's
that Granholm is allowing to relocate in Michigan over the next few
years. Again, why is she allowing this move to a Islamic Majority
in Michigan at a time when we cannot even house and employ our own legal
American citizens?
Of course is goes
much further that Michigan. And that is what bother me the most.
I truly believe the the Department of Commerce and our elected
representatives are allowing our country to be literally colonized by
rich foreigners: many of which may have bad intentions toward the United
States. The nature of these quid pro quo agreements is quite
possibly "unknowable" at this time, but something is pushing our elected
officials to sell out the American people. Just consider the
recent buyouts of our banking institutions:
Arabs Buying Up Failing
Western Banks 07-21-2008 Israel National News
http://www.roguegovernment.com/news.php?id=10826
(IsraelNN.com) First it was Citibank. Now it's Barclay's and New York
City's Chrysler Building skyscraper. Muslim Arabs are buying out
collapsing Western banks and businesses and gaining growing
international power, but some Arab investors are worried their
investments may go down the drain with the American economy.
The current financial crisis in the United States has spread to other
countries because of a massive debt that was not backed by enough real
and liquid collateral. Banks and businesses gasping for financial breath
are up for sale at basement prices, but no one is certain if the
basement is the bottom.
"The possibility remains that more Arab white knights will be sought to
rescue ailing financial institutions," wrote Dr. Mohammed Ramady, a
former banker and Visiting Associate Professor at the King Fahd
University of Petroleum and Minerals in the Financial Adviser magazine.
He said he fears that Arab investors will end up chasing their
investments with more money to keep them from going under.
The Abu Dhabi Investment Council of the oil-rich United Arab Emirates
kingdom of Abu Dhabi last November announced it was bailing out the
mammoth Citibank financial institution, formerly headed by Bank of
Israel Governor Prof. Stanley Fischer, with $7.5 billion.
Next in line was Britain's Barclay's Bank, which raised $9 billion from
investors in the oil-rich kingdom of Qatar and in Asian countries. The
Abu Dhabi Investment Council last month forked out approximately $800
million for a 75 percent stake in New York City's 1,046-foot-tall
Chrysler Building, which was the world's tallest building for a year
until the Empire State Building surpassed it in the 1930's.
The purchase of American banks by foreigners has been blocked in the
past by security and political considerations, but the barriers have
come down, wrote Dr. Ramady. "How long this lasts is only a matter of
guesswork, as once again, the specter of foreign takeovers of 'national'
symbols will be hard to accept," he added.
The latest American symbol to go down the drain is the Anheuser-Busch
beer brewer. The Times of London wrote, "The weak dollar and weak
economy mean the United States is up for sale. Japs are conquering the
car industry. Arabs just bought part of the Chrysler Building. Jeez,
they even tried to buy the ports a while back. Whatever next? A hijab on
the Statue of Liberty?"
In a more serious vein, The Australian editor-at-large Paul Kelly wrote
earlier this month that the foreign investments, headed by Arabs, signal
a major change in international power.
"The energy, financial and political woes that grip the U.S. signal a
decisive shift in world power, mocking the liberal delusion that Barack
Obama or John McCain can return American prestige and power to its
pre-Bush year 2000 nirvana," he wrote. "There is no such nirvana. There
is instead a new reality: the greatest transfer of income in human
history [and] the rise of a new breed of wealthy autocracies that
cripple U.S. hopes of dominating the global system and demands on the
U.S. to make fresh compromises in a world where power is rapidly being
diversified."
Flynt Leverett, former director of Middle East Affairs on the National
Security Council, thinks that "the international economic position of
the United States has deteriorated substantially since the new
millennium."
In the current issue of The American Interest, Gal Luft, from the
Institute for the Analysis of Global Security, warned that OPEC's Arab
countries could potentially "buy the Bank of America with two months'
worth of production and General Motors with six days' worth."
The growing Arab takeover of American businesses continues unhindered.
The giant Dow Chemical company and a Kuwaiti company have agreed to set
up world headquarters for their joint petrochemical venture in Dearborn,
Michigan, which has a high concentration of American Arabs.
The Abu Dubai Investment Council years ago entered the international
media business, buying a nine percent stake in Reuters News Agency,
which usually reports with an open anti-Israeli bias.
However, Abu Dhabi's' director of international affairs, Yousef al
Otaiba, has reassured American officials that its purchase of Citibank
will not be used to exert political pressure on the U.S. He wrote the
Treasury Department, "It is important to be absolutely clear that the
Abu Dhabi government has never and will never use its investment
organizations or individual investments as a foreign policy tool."
The American people
must demand an answer to why we are being sold out. And the point
is that Islamic Extremism is not just being wages by a minority of
Muslims: it is being wages by a minority within our own government.
Of course the "New Agenda for America would stop this in its tracks.
Consider the 8th plank:
(8) No further
ownership of US Assets (businesses, homes, ports, stock exchanges) by
foreign governments or individuals!
I can only hope that
the America people wake up before it is too late.
This edition of
"Dearbornistan" grew out of an inquiry into the historic fiction novel
"Jewel of Medina" by Sherry Jones. You can watch the two videos
below to gather some additional background information on the issue.
The publishing of the
book was halted after Muslim extremists anonymously threatened violence
against Random House, the publisher of the book. For those
of us that believe in the continuance of a free society such acts of
violence and coercion cannot be allowed to prevail. I think
Benjamin Franklin stated this most succinctly when he said the
following:
"Any society that would give
up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and
lose both." Benjamin Franklin
Past editions of
"Dearbornistan" have documented similar attempts, by various Islamic
groups (e.g., CAIR), to thwart criticism of Islam through acts of
violence. If you page
through the archives you will see many examples:
* The Murder of Van Gogh
* The outrageous demonstrations over a Cartoon of Mohammed
* Attempts to stop the release of the film "Fitna"
If you want to learn
more about these attempts to censor criticism of Islam, by Islamic
extremists, I encourage you to read through the "Dearbornistan" archives
where these incidents are covered in depth. You will find
the "Archive" files in the rightmost column of this page towards the
top.
There is also an
exhaustive report of more subtle Islamic censorship that occurred in
Dearborn a few years ago. I found this investigation, that I
conducted, very interesting because it links Hispanic and Islamic
ethno-centric groups with "New Detroit," a non-profit that is heavily
backed by the international bank JP Morgan. I believe that this
investigation actually illustrates how international banks are using
ethno-centric organizations as proxies to destroy the American working
class. As this investigation illustrates, they are doing it by
silencing anyone that questions their agenda of bringing more legal and
illegal immigrants into the United States in order to displace costlier
older American workers specifically, and to reduce wages and benefits in
general. I'm also quite certain that this is just the "tip of the
iceberg." You can read this exhaustive 2-part report by opening up
the following *.pdf files:
Well, here we go again. This time
around we will be focusing on the "Jewel of Medina" by Sherry Jones.
This historical work of fiction depicts Mohammed's marriage to a 6-year
old girl at a time when he was in his late 40's. Apparently he
waited to have sexual intercourse with her until she was the ripe young
age of 9. Ouch! Such compassion, eh? Of course the
reason the Muslim extremists threatened to blow up Random House was
because they are concerned that people might think less of the "religion
of peace" once they start understanding some of the undisputed history
of Muhammad:
"So the leader of
your "religion of peace," was a pedophile?"
Random House pulled the
publication of this book after receiving death threats from anonymous
Muslims who inferred attacks on both the writer, their employees and
their headquarters. And as we have seen, many times before, the
fear factor has already spread as Sherry's BlogSpot has been now been suspended:
And if past history
is a guide, it was most likely her Internet Service Provider (ISP) that
pulled her blog after receiving similar Islamic threats: similar to
those sent to Random House.
As a "jihadist for
freedom" I don't really give a damn whether this book is accurate, well
written or insulting to Islam. If you believe in a free society
then you must allow Sherry Jones her freedom to publish the damn book.
As a "jihadist for freedom" I
don't really give a damn whether this book is accurate, well written or
insulting to Islam. If you believe in a free society then you must
allow Sherry Jones her freedom to publish the damn book. And if
you don't think she should be allowed to publish such a book then you
don't belong in the United States: something American Muslims ought to
start thinking about. The backlash against Islam is definitely
coming.
I think I've made this point
enough times to be clear that we are, in fact witnessing a clash of
civilizations. And with each passing day it also becomes clearer
just how intolerant Islam is to alternative mythologies and freedom
itself. If you believe in freedom then you must also know that
this is a war that, for the sake of future generations, we cannot afford
to loose. Hopefully it is a war that can be won by rational
discourse alone. But once again, I'm not holding my breath.
Just consider the
following threat that was made to Sherry's 14-year old daughter, in
response to her letter defending her mother:
"I WILL PRAY TO ALMIGHTY ALLAH FROM
NOW ONWARDS IN MY DAILY PRAYERS TO GIVE THIS BITCH THE LEAST PLACEIN
HELL FIRE NOT TO BE FEARED BY TERRORIST ATTCKS. IF I FIND THIS
BITCH ANYWHERE I WILL KILL HER ON MY VERY OWNSELF."
But rather than rant on and on
about this I'm just going to provide a number of articles surrounding
the suppression of the "Jewel of Medina" and let you draw
your own conclusions. You will find these articles below.
A second, very
disturbing development has stemmed from my correspondence with Imam
Hassan Al-Qazwini who leads the largest mosque in America: the Islamic
Center for America in Dearborn Michigan. It started with a simple
letter to the Imam inquiring as to whether he thought the "Jewel of
Medina" (by Sherry Jones) should have been allowed to be published:
since we still live in a free country. Unfortunately it went
downhill from there.
First his reply did
not explicitly state that Sherry Jones book should be published.
Next he tried to question my beliefs in free speech by asking if I would
allow the broadcast of al-Manar television to the Muslims of Dearborn
and Dearborn Heights. As it turns out al-Manar television is
censored throughout the free world because it explicitly calls for the
destruction of all Non-Muslim governments. I found it stunning
that he could even think to compare the publishing of a book with the
broadcast of a network that believes in the destruction of the United
States. Finally, I visited the website, for his mosque, and found
that they actually had a dinner for the Muslim extremist group CAIR.
I don't know about
you, but this does not leave me with a warm and fuzzy feeling for Islam
in America.
It truly leaves me to question whether Islam
can really co-exist as a "religion of peace" or if what we are really
witnessing is the establishment of a 5th column, of radical Islamists,
within the cities of Dearborn, Dearborn Heights as well as other cities
throughout the United States. You can read
the complete annotated correspondence below, in this edition of
"Dearbornistan."
I want to make it
clear that this is not a blanket indictment of all Muslims living in
America. The fact of the matter is that I have had discussions
with Irshad Manji, and many other Muslims, who cringe at the extremist
dogma emanating from some quarters of the Islamic community. But
it has never been more important for these progressive Muslims to speak
out publicly against Islamic extremism. And unfortunately, so far,
the silence is deafening.
But I think the most
important measure to stop the spread of Islamic extremist is the
imposition of an immediate 20-year moratorium of all further immigration
into the United States: both Legal and Illegal. This is just one
of the 10 "planks" of my "New Agenda for America."
I believe that all
immigration into the United States should come to an immediate halt for
the primary purpose of maintaining sustainability. We are already
running into serious depletion of our water supply with the 300 million
already here. There is no way we can sustain an additional 100
million people, which is exactly what will occur, in the next 30 years,
if we allow Obama or McCain to allow any further legal or illegal
immigration. And let me be clear that this also means no further
immigration by continuing to allow anchor babies or chain migration. If
we are to survive as a free society, it
must all stop immediately.
You can actually get
the ball rolling right this minute by calling your representatives in
Washington right now and tell them:
"If you expect to get
re-elected then you must introduce and pass legislation to stop all
further Legal and Illegal Immigration: preferably before the election.
This includes an immediate halt to any further visas, anchor babies and
chain migration. Our country is in crisis. Your re-election
is dependant on implementing this within the next six months. And
I will be tracking your actions on this issue until such legislation is
passed."
No More Immigration
-- Legal or Illegal. Just call the following number and leave a
message with your Senator and your House representatives:
(202)-224-3121
And while this
includes all ethnicities I think it will prod Islamic groups to realize
they have no other choice other than to assimilate to a culture based on
freedom of speech, religion and assembly. Most importantly it will
force them to recognize, that if you want to live in this country, you
will have to understand that we believe in a "air-tight" separation
between Church and State. There will NEVER be an Islamic
Caliphate, or the practice of Sharia, in the United States. And
anyone that does not embrace that belief has no place in a country that
believe in both "freedom of religion" as well as "freedom from
religion."
It is my belief
moratorium on immigration will effectively force Islam through the same
Enlightenment and Reformation that tamed down the excesses of Roman
Catholicism whose Inquisitions and Crusades remain as sad historic
remnants of their religious hypocrisy. Perhaps I should write the
Imam and ask him what he thinks of a Universal Moratorium on
Immigration? I'm sure his associates within the Muslim Brotherhood
will be tickled pink.
But I fear that, if
we do not impose an immediate moratorium on all immigration we are soon
going to have to deal with the same Muslim extremism that is now
plaguing much of Western Europe. The following video illustrates
just how serious a problem this is already becoming in Europe. And
thankfully the solution is quite clear for both Europe and the United
States: Stop All Immigration Now!
Unfortunately both Presidential candidates -- Obama and McCain --
support polices that would continue to allow more Legal and Illegal
immigration into the United States. This only serves the interests
of the Global Elite at the expense of every legal American citizen.
Unfortunately I am
the only candidate that would put an immediate halt to ALL immigration.
And unless millions of Americans begin right now, to circulate my
"write-in" candidacy for President, the spread of Islamic Extremism will
only grow when one of these two traitors is inaugurated in 2009.
But the modern day
Merlin's have given us the greatest weapon in the history of mankind:
the Internet. You now have roughly two months to post my
"write-in" candidacy across the internet by posting the following
graphic on your web pages (e.g., MySpace, FaceBook etc.)
So instead of
selecting Obama or McCain you would just write-in "Bruce W. Cain."
Just copy and paste this graphic on your webpage. Next you need to
get on the mailing list by clicking on the following link:
I will begin sending
out weekly mailings, beginning in mid-September, to update you on the
progress. If we could get 35 million to sign up as "Freedom Loving
Americans" for "Bruce W. Cain" we can immediately wrest control, of our
future, from the grasp of the Global Elite, which both candidates sadly
represent.
If not this list of
"Freedom Loving Americans" will be the start of a movement that will
force the next president to bow to the will of the American People:
something we have not seen in nearly 50 years.
Let us make clear
that the reason neither of the candidates ever mention the names of
Washington, Franklin or Jefferson, is because they are both working for
a Global Elite that is doing everything in their power to destroy the
meaning and spirit of the US Constitution. Yet it is the US
Constitution that represents the broadest range of liberties that has
ever been implemented in the history of mankind. And the liberties
enumerated in that document serves the interest of all: and that most
certainly includes freedom loving Muslims. The time for a
Second American Revolution is right now.
Mainstream US Muslim organizations are heavily influenced by
Saudi-funded extremists, according to Yehudit Barsky, an expert on
terrorism at the American Jewish Committee.
Worse still, Barsky told The Jerusalem Post last week, these "extremist
organizations continue to claim the mantle of leadership" over American
Islam.
The power of the extremist Wahhabi form of Islam in the United States
was created with generous Saudi financing of American Muslim communities
over the past few decades. Over 80 percent of the mosques in the United
States "have been radicalized by Saudi money and influence," Barsky
said.
Before the 1970s, she explained, "Muslim immigrants who came to the
United States would build a store-front mosque somewhere. Then, since
the 1970s, the Saudis have been approaching these mosques and telling
them it wasn't proper for the glory of Islam to build such small
mosques."
For many Muslims, it seemed the Saudis were offering a free mosque.
However, Barsky believes for each mosque they invested in, the Saudis
sent along their own imam (teacher-cleric).
"These [immigrants] were not interested in this [Wahhabi] ideology, and
suddenly they have a Saudi imam coming in and telling them they're not
praying properly and not practicing Shari'a [Islamic law] properly."
This Saudi strategy was being carried out "all over the world, from
America to Bangladesh," with the Saudis investing $70-80 billion in the
endeavor over three decades.
Barsky, who heads the AJC's Division on Middle East and International
Terrorism and is the executive editor of Counterterrorism Watch, said
this means that "the people now in control of teaching religion [to
American Muslims] are extremists. Who teaches the mainstream moderate
non-Saudi Islam that people used to have? It's in the homes, but there's
no infrastructure. Eighty percent of the infrastructure is controlled by
these extremists."
The same is true, Barsky said, of many of the mainstream Muslim
organizations in America. Many of them are "pro-Saudi and pro-Muslim
Brotherhood organizations."
As examples, she listed three important groups: the Islamic Society of
North America, which "supports the Muslim Brotherhood and the Saudi
regime;" the Islamic Circle of North America, which "is composed of
members of Jamaat e-Islami, a Pakistani Islamic radical organization
similar to the Muslim Brotherhood that helped to establish the Taliban;"
and the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), "founded in the
1980s by pro-Hamas activists."
The problem is most acute when it comes to interfaith relations. When
advising colleagues on interfaith work with their Muslim counterparts,
Barsky tells them "to proceed with caution, [since] some of the
[extremist] organizations have concluded that interfaith dialogue is a
good way to spread the ideology."
Indeed, despite instructions given in Saudi embassy literature - and
available in many mosques throughout the country - which blast Jewish
and Christian "corruption and immorality" and teach Muslims that "the
only way to survive is to have no contact with the infidel Christians
and Jews," these organizations reach out to Jews and Christians.
Barsky explained that interfaith dialogue gives such organizations a
public legitimacy that their ideology would deny them if they expressed
it outright.
"So there's a problem," Barsky concluded, "with knowing who these people
are, who is really moderate. [These organizations] come to the Jewish
community to talk about interfaith, while they still teach anti-Western
and anti-Christian doctrines to their followers. Some of the leaders
have even condoned suicide bombings in Israel and against American armed
forces."
Her advice to American Jewish organizations who want to take part in
interfaith activities: "Take time to learn who they are and what they're
saying. It's more complicated than just respecting each other."
As for finding true moderates in the American Muslim community, Barsky
said such organizations "have quite a way to go before they will have
the level of organization" displayed by the extremist organizations. "So
there's a moderate voice that hasn't been heard. But it's starting to be
heard, and that's because of the anger over [organizations such as] CAIR
claiming the mantle of leadership."
For example, organizations such as the Arizona-based American Islamic
Forum for Democracy and the Washington-based Center for Islamic
Pluralism are both new and "have gathered under their umbrella a number
of moderate organizations."
As for combatting Islamic radicals in America, Barsky thinks Americans
need to change the way they think about Wahhabi Islam.
"The United States has a hard time understanding the extremists'
ideology. Americans don't like to interfere in the religion of other
people. But the reality is that this isn't religion, but a politicized
radical ideology. It's very dangerous," she warned, adding that the
people who are being taught this ideology are prime targets for
recruitment by terror organizations.
"If we don't understand that [these groups] are dangerous," she
concluded simply, "we're going to suffer the consequences."
I hate to say it but
I truly believe that this is what is in store for Christians in the
United States if we continue to allow Saudi money to continue to flow
into cites like Dearborn (MI) or allow ANY further immigration of
Muslims into the United States. The children in these Christian
ghettos live in such poverty that rats literally feed on the ears of the
children as they sleep.
The good news is that
we still have time to stop this dead in its tracks and force American
Muslims to assimilate to the post-Enlightenment culture of a United
States that has, prominently
within its Constitution, a strong mandate for the separation between
Church and State. It is my view that Bush's "faith based"
initiatives only further facilitate the spread of Islam in the United
States and need to be eliminated immediately.
I implore you to
watch the following series of videos so that you can see, first hand,
the rapes and other forms of blatant human rights abuses that are
perpetrated by Muslim upon the Christian population of Egypt. This
could by your future if you don't act to stop this disease before it
begins to metastasize in your communities.
No More Immigration
-- Legal or Illegal. Just call the following number and leave a
message with your Senator and your House representatives:
(202)-224-3121
I also recommend that
you direct them to the "Dearbornistan" sub web so that your
representatives can no longer claim ignorance about the real danger of
Islam in America.
And
anyone that does not embrace that belief has no place in a country that
believe in both "freedom of religion" as well as "freedom from
religion."
Comment: This
article started with a simple letter to the Imam inquiring as to whether
he thought the "Jewel of Medina" (by Sherry Jones) should have been
allowed to be published: since we still live in a free country.
Unfortunately it went downhill from their. It truly leaves me to
question whether Islam can really co-exist as a "religion of peace" or
if what we are really witnessing is the establishment of a 5th column,
of radical Islamists, within the cities of Dearborn and Dearborn
Heights.
Imam Hassan Al-Qazwini heads the
largest Mosque in the United States, which is unsurprisingly located in
Dearborn, Michigan: the largest Islamic population in the United States.
If you would like to send him a similar letter here is his email
address:
Imam Sayid Hassan Al-Qazwini met on Wednesday May 14, 2008 with Senator
Barack Obama, the democratic presidential candidate. The private meeting
between the two took place at Macomb Community College - Michigan. In
this meeting Imam Qazwini and Senator Obama discussed the upcoming
presidential election, the Arab-Israeli conflict in the Middle East and
the War in Iraq.
Furthermore, in the end of the
meeting Imam Qazwini offered a copy of his newly released book "American
Crescent" to senator Obama. Imam Qazwini also invited Senator Obama to
visit the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn.
I would also encourage my readers
to visit the website for the Islamic Center for America in order to see
how cozy they are with Islamic extremist groups such as CAIR.
According the the website the Islamic Center for America just had a
dinner for CAIR on April 5th, 2008.
I believe it is time we begin to
foster a dialog with the Muslim community in order to better understand
their positions in their own words. To this end I sent the Imam a
letter and was elated that he responded. But I found his response
indirect and hollow as he really didn't explicitly support the
publishing of the book, "Jewel of Medina." So I sent a second
letter to probe further and to receive further clarification on his
position. When he did not respond to the second letter I
sent a third.
While you may
disagree I was definitely not trying to insult him, in any way, and was
really interested in more clarification. By the third letter I was
getting a bit exasperated. Unfortunately his silence may say more
than anything that he may have written. It is now 10 days since
the first letter and I have little faith that an honest reply is
forthcoming.

This is the first letter I just sent to
Imam Hassan Al-Qazwini:
Subject: Do you believe in Freedom of Speech?
Date: Monday, August 18, 2008 11:15:46 AM
Imam Hassan Al-Qazwini:
As an American I am deeply disturbed by recent censorship of the
historical novel "Jewel of Medina" by Sherry Jones. Though I would not
be surprised that this book might upset those of the Muslim faith I see
no excuse for it's censorship. Most disturbing to me is that a primary
reason for "pulling the book" was due to the threat of Muslim violence
against the publisher, should it actually find its way onto the book
shelves of Borders and other book distributors.
My question to you is very simple. Do you believe, that in a free
society, such censorship should be tolerated? Secondly, can we count on
you to denounce the threat of violence by Muslims over this, and other
(e.g., the Mohammed Cartoon) expressions of free speech?
Yours in Freedom,
Bruce W. Cain
Editor, New Age Citizen
This is the reply I
received from
Imam Hassan Al-Qazwini:
Mr. Cain,
Thank you for your e-mail. I believe in freedom of speech, only if you
believe in it. In this free society, we have witnessed several cases in
which freedom of speech has been denied. One main example is the US
government's decision to ban al-Manar satellite TV that broadcasts from
the Middle East. In another "free society" such as Austria, a well known
historian David Irving was sentenced to three years in prison for
shedding doubts on the number of Holocaust victims. I think freedom of
speech should be viewed as a two-way highway. It seems that when some
individuals in the West are about to aim at discrediting and
disrespecting Islam, they cite freedom of speech, however, when freedom
of speech does not suit some governments in the West freedom of speech
evaporates.
For the record, yes I do denounce any form of violence by Muslims or
non-Muslims citing the publication of any book.
Yours in Freedom,
Imam Hassan Qazwini
Commentary on Imam
Hassan Qazwini's first reply:
First note that I didn't do the following analysis until after my 3rd
letter. Of course I am not familiar with David Irving and would
not support his imprisonment over his free speech even though I DO
believe 6 million were, in fact, murdered through genocide by the Nazis
during World War II. I am also quite aware of the cozy
relationship that was had between Nazis and Islamists during World War
II. I'm also aware that there is a plaque in the archives of the
Henry Ford Museum that was given to Henry Ford (I) by Hitler himself.
But I did find the
following in the Wikipedia on David Irving:
David John Cawdell Irving (born March 24, 1938) is a British writer[1]
specializing in the military history of World War II. His
interpretations of the Third Reich have proved highly controversial due
to allegations of undue sympathy for the Third Reich and anti-Semitism,
and because of his involvement in the Holocaust Denial movement. He is
the author of 30 books, including The Destruction of Dresden (1963),
Hitler's War (1977), Uprising! (1981), Churchill's War (1987), and
Goebbels — Mastermind of the Third Reich (1996).
Irving's reputation as a historian was widely discredited[2] after he
brought an unsuccessful libel case against American historian Deborah
Lipstadt and Penguin Books in 1998. During the trial, an English court
found that Irving was an "active Holocaust denier," as well as an
anti-Semite and racist, and that he "associates with right-wing
extremists who promote neo-Nazism."[3] The judge also ruled that Irving
had "for his own ideological reasons persistently and deliberately
misrepresented and manipulated historical evidence."[3][4]
On a visit to Austria, Irving was apprehended, tried and convicted of
"glorifying and identifying with the German Nazi Party", which is a
crime in Austria under section 3g of the Verbotsgesetz law. He served a
prison sentence from February to December 2006 on the charges.

But al-Manar TV is
not just banned in Dearborn: it is banned throughout the United States because they are widely believed to
be a terrorist organization. In light of this I find it
distressing that the Imam would be pushing for Muslims -- in Dearborn
and Dearborn Heights -- to have access to such bull shit.
And even if the Imam was merely trying to say that, both the
publishing of "Jewel of Medina" and the broadcast of al-Manar are issues
of free speech, the comparison is not equivocal. The
publishing of the "Jewel of Medina" is not in any way promoting
violence. The broadcasts of al-Manar are explicit calls for a
violent jihad against the United States and ALL non-Muslim governments.
Furthermore the indisputable reason that "Jewel of Medina" was halted
stemmed from anonymous threats by Muslims to literally blow up Random
House publishing.
You can make your own judgment regarding al-Manar by viewing some sample
videos from the al-Manar TV Network:
Although I actually agree with al-Manar when they criticize Bush's
intervention into Iraq I will be eternally opposed to any group that
would attempt to foist their presumptuous religious beliefs on
Non-Muslims, which is exactly what is occurring now in Lebanon and other
Mid-Eastern countries.
Would
the Imam have no problem with a television show that espouses the
genocide of the Muslim population in the United States? Probably
not, eh?
The fact that the
Imam would even suggest that such programming in our area is extremely distressing.
It is almost like a smoking gun which shows the Imam to be a supporter
of terrorism, at least in my mind. Very disturbing, I must say.
My readers can learn
more about Islamic Terrorist media by visiting the following website:
Here is my second
letter to the Imam, which is a response to his first letter:
Subject: Re: Do you believe in Freedom of Speech?
Date: Thu, 21 Aug 2008 19:50:04 +0000
From: bcainw@comcast.net
To: sqazwini@yahoo.com
Imam Hassan Al-Qazwini:
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my email. First, let me assure
you that there is probably no more ardent supporter of freedom of speech
than myself. So, yep, I definitely believe in freedom of speech, freedom
of expression and most certainly freedom of religion.
But I also must tell you that I put little stock in what anyone says and
much stock in judging the actions of both individuals and groups.
While I don't pretend to be an Islamic scholar I have done more research
on the subject than most. I have had personal discussions with many
local Muslims and have also discussed the topic with people such as
Irshad Manji. And I think it important to clarify what I'm about to say
because I could imagine you believing that I'm just picking on Islam.
I believe, through much study, that ALL literalist religions are
basically rotten to the core: and that includes both Islam as well as
Christianity (especially Roman Catholicism and the Vatican). I define
literalist religions as any organized group that truly believe that they
can act as an intermediary between the flock and God. Basically, all
such entities represent an elite within their respective jurisdictions.
This does not mean that I think all Muslims and/or Christian are
corrupt. Consider this view more of a broad synthesis of my
understanding of history going much further back than the 3 tribes of
Abraham.
In light of the "Dead Sea Scrolls" it is pretty clear that Jesus was
actually vehemently opposed to all literalist religions. It turns out he
was most likely both a Gnostic and an Essene. And, as I'm quite sure you
are aware, Gnostics only believe what they can understand through direct
knowledge. Jesus made this pretty clear when he said that you would find
the "kingdom of God" within yourself. This aphorism is antithical to all
literalist traditions that believe they have a legitimate role as an
intermediary between God and the individual. This, by the way, is just
my perspective on things.
The problem with literalist traditions, in my mind, is that they nearly
always interpret "reality" in a way that consistently benefits the
interests of the elite, whether it be Saudi Sheiks or the Vatican.
My only point in this is to make clear that I'm not just picking on
Islam.
Now I could go on and on about specifics of Islam that trouble me:
polygamy, intolerance of gays and bisexuals, intolerance of the users of
Marijuana and other entheogenic sacraments, Barbaric Sharia Laws etc.
But my two main problems with Islam are the insistence on the
establishment of a global caliphate and the insistence on theocratic
forms of government.
Frankly, I believe that anyone who believes in dissolving our
constitutional mandate, for a separation between church and state,
should be deported immediately. It is not just the fact that the US
Constitution mandates such a separation. It is because every government,
throughout history, that has embraced theocratic forms of government,
have used it as a tool of coercion against those that don't embrace the
presumptuous beliefs of the majority religion. And in practice such
theocracies go against everything that we have gained by dragging
Christianity through both the Reformation and the Enlightenment.
It is almost as if Islam is stuck where Christianity was stuck before it
was "exposed" to both the Reformation and the Enlightenment. As Irshad
Manji believes, so do I: Islam needs to be dragged through its own
Reformation and Enlightenment.
Now onto more contemporary topics and issues:
You say that you believe in freedom of speech, yet you hosted a dinner
for CAIR as recently as April. I find this extremely troubling. CAIR
believes in the ultimate establishment of a global Islamic Caliphate and
more than a handful of its members are currently in prison for
supporting Islamic Terrorist charities. I include a link to an article
that covers that in significant detail. I suppose my problem is that I
don't see how you can say you believe in the US Constitution, yet also
believe in the ultimate subversion of the very same Constitution.
Certainly the most important aspect of the US Constitution is that it
was the first "charter" to insist on a separation between church and
state. This, to me, is one of the most important gifts toward the
establishment of more humanitarian societies.
I'm also concerned that Saudi Arabia is intentionally attempting to
establish Dearborn/Dearborn Heights as a "beach head" for Islamic
extremism in this country. I have lived in this area for over 50 years
and my eyes have always been wide open on this topic. 30 years ago the
Mosques in SE Dearborn only conducted their services in English and
actually frowned on the wearing of the hijab (and even burkas) in
public. Over the last 20 years it is apparent that vast amounts of money
are flowing into the mosques from Saudi Wahhabist sources into SE
Michigan and other areas of this country. As a result we see more and
more Muslim women wearing the hijab publicly.
And you would be absolutely within bounds to point out that these women
have a right to wear the hijab. But it also telegraphs a distancing and
rejection of American culture. Frankly if that was the only problem I
wouldn’t waste the time pointing it out. But there are many other
troubling examples of Muslims seeking special consideration within our
country that need to be resisted:
Let me point out a few for you:
(1) The Muslim “footbaths” at UofM Dearborn. This is a violation against
the separation between church and state.
(2) Halal meat in the Dearborn/Dearborn Heights public schools. This is
also a violation against the separation between church and state.
(3) Attempts by Mid-Eastern families to stop the recitation of the
“Pledge of Allegiance” at Kinloch Elementary School. Now I don’t think
anyone should be “forced” to recite this but it is very important for
encapsulating the “perennial philosophy” (see Aldous Huxley) in the
minds of all children.
I pledge allegiance to the flag
Of the United States of America
And to the Republic, for which it stands
One nation, under god, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
[Note: you could get rid of the “under god” as it adds nothing and was
only introduced in 1954 amidst a Communist scare (e.g., the McCarthy
era)]
(4) I have knowledge of many Muslims that are on Medicaid, yet can
barely speak English. This is obviously not the fault of Muslims but
rather the fault of US entities that are engaging in “quid pro quo”
arrangements with Saudi wealth. But when American citizens are similarly
denied Medicaid, it becomes a major point of contention.
(5) We are seeing a conspicuous stream of extremely wealthy
Mid-Easterners coming into the cities of Dearborn and Dearborn Heights
in the last few years. At a time when American workers are loosing their
jobs and homes, this is only going to cause a backlash against all
Mid-Easterners. I use the term Mid-Easterner here because some are
Chaldean, Albanian (European looking Muslims and Christians also) and
other non-Muslim Mid-Eastern sects.
Finally, let us consider how the “rubber meets the road” when it comes
to the practice of Islam. I have watched numerous videos of honor
killings, clitoral mutilations, polygamy and other inhumanities
practiced by people that consider themselves Muslim. Then I read
accounts of Saudi Royalty doing heroin in Egypt, only to come back home
and literally behead commoners that are doing the same thing. And I have
read many recent accounts of Coptic Egyptians being reduced to dhimmis
as Islamic extremism gains a larger foothold in that country.
And my own government is equally complicit. A perfect example is found in
the globalist Brezenski who destroyed Afghan culture, with Muslim
extremists, in order to thwart Russian hegemony in Afghanistan. It is
quite possible that the global resurgence in Islamic extremism can be
traced back to this terrible, terrible policy decision. And now we all
suffer from the "blowback." And this most certainly includes
progressive Muslims that want no part of Islamic extremism.
These are some of the things that leave me wondering about the sincerity
of all Muslims, as well as American globalists, in this country. And,
frankly, I wish it were not so because I do have friends and neighbors
that happen to be Muslim. But I cannot, and will not ignore reality no
matter how it currently manifests itself.
In terms of constructive criticism I would suggest that Muslims need to
take some pro-active measures:
(1) Self police against Medicaid, Mortgage and other frauds being
perpetrated by minorities within the Muslim community.
(2) Insist on a moratorium on all immigration into the United States so
we don’t feel as if you are trying to displace us: especially in
Dearborn and Dearborn Heights. And of course this would also mean no
more people of Scottish descent. (I happen to be a very distant
descendant of Robert the Bruce who in turn was a descendant of Alexander
the Second).
(3) Make numerous public pronouncements against past and future
attempts, by Muslims, to subvert absolute freedom of speech (e.g.,
Muslim Cartoons, the murder of Van Gogh etc.).
In this light you could insist that the "Jewel of Medina" is published
and distributed. Such a move would probably get you on the front page of
every newspaper in America.
I hate to end the letter this way but I recently had to agree with
former drug czar, William Benett, when he said “Islam is as Islam does.”
This is probably the only time I will find myself in agreement with this
scumbag, by the way. But in this instance I think he is "point
on." You can talk forever about Islam, as a “religion of
peace.” But no one is going to believe you as long as so many things
done, in the name of Islam, appear to be acts of treachery, inhumanity
and deceit. I suppose that is just the Gnostic in me.
At any rate I have watched a number of your videos and have perused the
website for your Mosque. You, personally, seem to be a likeable person.
And no matter how this letter makes you feel, know that I am only
sending it in an attempt to be constructive. But I do have concerns. And
I would rather see them worked out peacefully and constructively, rather
than see such negative trends continue to the point of conflict. And
given, the unprecedented negative economic climate in SE Michigan, we
should all be more concerned about the possibility of such a
conflagration.
An open hearing of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and
Government Affairs bore witness to an unusually candid discussion about
the Muslim Brotherhood's network in the United States. It was unusual
in the respect that it was discussed at all. The fact that many major
American Muslim organizations are derived from the Muslim Brotherhood is
rarely addressed on Capitol Hill. And the Islamic PAC, CAIR --
that the Imam had hosted a dinner for in early 2008 -- is most
definitely tied to the Muslim Brotherhood.
====================
Here is the third
letter I sent to the Imam after he had failed to respond to my second
letter:
Subject:FW: Re: Do you believe in Freedom of Speech?

From:bcainw@comcast.net
To:sqazwini@yahoo.com

Imam Hassan Al-Qazwini:
I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised that you didn't respond to my
second letter. But I assure you that my intent was not to insult you but
rather to seek clarification about your role as a proponent of Islam.
Let me try a different approach by asking three questions.
(1) Do you support the complete separation between church and state as
stated in the US Constitution?
(2) Do you understand that Sharia laws are completely antithetical to
the US Constitution?
(3) Are you completely opposed to any initiative that would attempt to
implement Sharia laws within the United States?
Consider this a form of litmus test. Because for me, and millions of
other Americans, the only acceptable answer to these 3 questions would
be an unambiguous "yes." Anything less than that would leave me
suspicious of your intent in promoting the anti-liberty agenda of
Islamism in my country. And if you don't respond to this letter I will
have to assume that you don't feel comfortable answering, in the
affirmative, to all 3 questions. And that would also leave me
questioning your sincerity toward our Constitution. It would leave me
feeling as if your sincerity towards our inalienable right to freedom of
religion, speech etc. to be disingenuous and hollow.
The same thing could be said should I find that any of your actions,
speeches or pronouncements contradicts an affirmative answer to these 3
questions.
My concerns are further reflected in the following letter by a German
psychiatrist, Dr. Emanuel Tanary (below). I would also let you know that
I am amenable to discussing this publicly as long as the discussion can
be video taped and distributed so that others can hear your full and
unedited answers to these and similar questions. But I do think Irshad
Manji, a lesbian Muslim, has it right when she proclaims that Islam need
to undergo the same enlightenment and reformation that stripped
Christianity of some of its more repugnant attributes (e.g., Crusades,
Witch Burnings, Inquisitions etc.).
Again, I cannot over emphasize that your silence in these matters can
only leave, those that truly believe in individual liberties, with a
significant sense of unease with the further tolerance of Islam within
the confines of the United States of America and the broader context of
the free world. In short I will not tolerate any form of Islamic
fanaticism within the borders of my country. It would simply be
antithetical to everything that I believe.
This is the fourth and most likely the last letter that I will be
sending the Imam. I want my readers to know that I have also
copied this letter to Mayor O'Reilly (Dearborn), Mayor Paletko
(Dearborn) and the Dearborn Press and Guide.
Subject:Why I have concerns about Imam IHassan Al-Qazwini
Date:Thursday, August 28, 2008 2:58:40 PM
From:bcainw@comcast.net
To:sqazwini@yahoo.com
Imam Hassan Al-Qazwini:
After you had ignored my 2nd and 3rd letters there will be little point
of going beyond the sending of this 4th letter.
First note that I didn't do the following analysis until after I had
sent you my 3rd letter. Let me remind you that you only responded to the
first in this series of letters.
Of course I am not familiar with David Irving and would not support his
imprisonment over his free speech even though I DO believe 6 million
were, in fact, murdered through genocide by the Nazis during World War
II. I am also quite aware of the cozy relationship that was had between
Nazis and Islamists during World War II. I'm also aware that there is a
plaque in the archives of the Henry Ford Museum that was given to Henry
Ford (I) by Hitler himself.
But al-Manar TV is banned throughout the United States because they are
widely believed to be a t
errorist organization. To be honest I was
absolutely horrified when I read the following link concerning al-Manar
TV:
In light of this I find it distressing that you would be pushing for
Muslims -- in Dearborn and Dearborn Heights -- to have access to such
inflammatory programming which is, by the way, banned throughout the
United States. Not just in Dearbornistan.
Would the Imam have no problem with a television show that espouses the
genocide of the Muslim population in the United States? Probably not,
eh?
The fact that the Imam would want such programming in our area is
extremely distressing. It is almost like a smoking gun which shows that
you are a supporter of terrorism, at least in my mind. Very disturbing,
I must say.
When I first wrote you it was merely to open a dialog over whether you
believed that freedom of speech should allow the publishing of the
historical fiction novel, "Jewel of Medina" by Sherry Jones. But while
you did agree that Muslims should not have threatened to blow up the
publishing company you never explicitly agreed that the book should have
ever been published.
Frankly, I did not think much of this until I looked into your apparent
wish to have al-Manar TV viewed by American Muslims in Dearborn and
Dearborn Heights. In light of this it is very difficult to believe you
could possibly embrace the US Constitution, or American values in
general. It saddens me to reach such a conclusion, however, I think I
have been thorough in reaching this conclusion.
You are always welcome to write me. But I'm no longer holding my breath
that you will. As it stands I have written you 4 times. You have only
written once.
In addition you should know that I have shared this correspondence with
the FBI, mayors and other interested parties. I am quickly loosing my
faith that there is truly an Islamic "religion of peace" operating
within my community of Dearborn and Dearborn Heights.
Yours in Freedom,
Bruce W. Cain
In conclusion I have
to ponder whether an Imam, that wants to bring in terrorist television
programming to the largest Islamic population in the United States, is
not someone we should be worried about. It also makes you wonder
what he talked to Barrack Obama about, off camera, in March of 2008. Could we soon be
seeing the same Isalmification, that has already invaded Europe, coming
home to Dearborn. The following video underlines my concerns:
Comment: This
article gives a good overview of how immigration and the infusion of
money from Islamic countries is resulting in the Islamic radicalization
of both Dearborn and Dearborn Heights. Dearborn, which was
once predominantly composed of white Europeans is now nearly 40% Middle
Eastern and the majority of those are Muslim. Though the infusion
of Saudi money is not addressed I am quite certain that bucket-loads are
flowing in from both legitimate and illigetimat sources. It is
something that needs to be stopped immediately.

Ideologies and Institutions in Dearborn, Michigan, America's Muslim
Capitol
By Patrick Belton
Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Rahim: on Fridays in America’s Muslim capital of
Dearborn, Michigan, the ancient Islamic sentence of invocation wafts
over the blighted streets of greater Detroit, drifting out from
residents gathering for prayer.
The blighted streets lined with hourly-rental motels that lead from
Detroit into the suburb of Dearborn gradually give way to busy avenues
dotted with mosques and thriving small businesses. Arabic signs
advertise attorneys and physicians, passers-by speak Levantine and Gulf
dialects of Arabic, and on the sidewalks women wear the colorful
headscarves of hijab.
Dearborn is a microcosm of the Middle East planted in the Midwestern
United States. The roughly 40,000 of Dearborn’s 100,000 residents that
are Arab American defy the myth many Americans hold of a unified Muslim
world, filled with parading masses bearing the likeness of Ayatollah
Khomenei. While there are some radical Islamists, Dearborn’s growing
Muslim population runs the gamut from international traders to educated
professionals to local business owners. Every Arab nationality and
religious sect is found here, from Yemeni traditionalism to secular
modernity.
Dearborn was founded as the first overnight stop on the stagecoach route
linking Detroit to Chicago. Its streets are named for the German
Catholics who have since given way to Polish and Italian Americans, whom
Arab immigrants and their descendents, in turn, are replacing.
Southfield Freeway separates the city’s Western and Eastern worlds,
roughly demarcating three neighborhoods: Southend is now mostly
populated by Yemenis; East Dearborn is a bustling Lebanese community of
Arab restaurants, bakeries, and halal butchers; and West Dearborn’s
residential streets remain populated by Italian and Polish ethnics.
The Muslim presence in metropolitan Detroit dates to the last decade of
the 19th century, when men from the Lebanese Biqa Valley, working as
peddlers and traders, followed a larger number of Lebanese Christian
emigrees to the U.S. When Henry Ford began to offer generous five-dollar
daily wages for workers at his Highland Park assembly line in 1913,
Detroit became the predominant destination for Lebanese immigrants.
Immigration accelerated when Lebanon’s economy fell apart in the wake of
the Ottoman Empire’s collapse at the end of World War I. The restrictive
National Origins Act of 1924 reduced Lebanese immigration to a trickle,
but over the next twenty years, wives and dependent children, whom the
Act still allowed to immigrate, gradually reunited with their husbands
and fathers. In 1927, Ford shifted operations to the Rouge River plant
in his native Dearborn, and a Muslim neighborhood soon followed.
By the close of World War II, the Dearborn population numbered about 200
families. Most subsequent immigrants–Palestinian, Lebanese, and
Iraqi–arrived in Dearborn as political refugees, with only Yemenis
coming to Dearborn in this period primarily for economic opportunity
(see sidebar). Collectively, the communities in Dearborn represent the
second largest concentration of both Arabs and Muslims outside the
Middle East, behind only Paris.
East and West in Dearborn Mosques
The evolution of Dearborn mosques reflects the ongoing debate since the
late 1960s between conservative and liberal elements of American Muslim
society. Conservative movements, including Islamic revivalism, can be
traced to Middle Eastern influences such as the Iranian Revolution,
which parts of Dearborn embraced when the spiritual guide of Hizbollah,
Sheikh Mohammed Fadlallah, spoke to an enthusiastic audience of Shi’a
refugees in neighboring Southfield’s Bonnie Brook Country Club. More
religious than political in appeal, Islamic revivalism tries to stem the
tide of integration into non-Islamic American society. Liberal movements
descend both from the secular pan-Arabic movement pioneered by former
Egyptian president Gamal Abdel-Nasser–Nasserism–and from American
influences such as the Civil Rights Movement. Liberals work to construct
a distinct Arab American identity and incorporate it into mainstream
American life.
Dearborn Mosque–the second mosque ever built in the nation–was gradually
raised on Southend’s Dix Road between the 1930s and 1950s. In 1976, it
saw the conflict between Americanizing and Arabizing ideologies come to
a head when Palestinian-born Hajj Fawzi, leading a group of Yemeni and
Palestinian immigrants called the musalee’een, broke into the mosque one
Friday when it was closed for prayer and occupied it. Later, they
wrested legal control of the mosque, through board elections and
litigation, and invited to the imamate a young Yemeni sheikh of the
conservative Wahhabist tradition. The new imam banned a women’s group
from the mosque when they protested his prohibition of weddings and
fundraising events from the mosque’s basement. And he required women who
wished to attend the mosque to enter through a side door, don hijab, and
keep to certain areas of the mosque.
The sheikh’s tenure was short–he was forced to resign and return to
Yemen after molesting a twelve-year old girl–but the Yemeni and
conservative takeover of the mosque was complete. With time it has come
to reflect the Yemeni Zaydi sect of Sunni Islam and has become known as
the Yemeni Zaydi Dearborn Mosque. Only Arabic has been spoken there in
the past twenty years. In the early 1980s, the musalee’een began to
broadcast the daily calls to prayer over loudspeakers, to the annoyance
of some Southend residents. The city of Dearborn attempted to end the
broadcasts but was prevented when the courts ruled that the broadcasts
constituted the Muslim equivalent of church bells.
More liberal observers of Islam founded their own places of worship. In
the 1960s, the most significant of Dearborn’s–and the nation’s–mosques
was founded by the highly educated, English-speaking Lebanese Imam
Mohamed Chirri. Invited by a group of Dearborn Muslims to serve as the
imam of a new place of worship, Chirri began fundraising for a mosque on
Joy Road, several blocks across the Detroit border from East Dearborn.
Imam Chirri, having befriended one of Nasser’s acquaintances in Lebanon,
raised $44,000 from Nasser himself, $7,000 from Jordan, and sizable
amounts from the local community.
Imam Chirri’s support for the Americanization of the Islamic community
was so pronounced in the 1950s and ‘60s that the imam often appeared in
public wearing a business suit and no turban. At the mosque he founded,
the Islamic Center for America, or the Jami’, English and Arabic were
used equally, and Sunday services for a time became the principal
services of the week, drawing whole families as well as men.
The Balance of Left and Right
Imam Chirri sought to construct the Jami’, as an ideologically broad
church, and served well as statesman both in responding to pressures
from his more conservative constituencies as well as in casting a
favorable public image of his religion in America. He was always
grateful to Nasser for financial support, defending him publicly when
Nasserism had waned as a popular Arab ideology. Initially distancing
himself from the Palestinian cause–early on, he counseled Palestinian
activists to resign themselves to the reality of Israeli’s statehood and
the need for a two-state solution–as his mosque filled with Lebanese
refugees, Chirri became publicly opposed to Israel.
In response to the conservative desires of recent immigrants, some
changes have taken place–hijab is now common practice, where it had not
been before, and the use of the Center for wedding dances and other
communal celebrations, common until the 1960s, has ceased. Some
Americanized Muslims in Dearborn feel that the arrival of more
conservative immigrants has diverted the earlier project of creating an
Islamic community that was at once truly Islamic and American.
Imam Chirri died in 1994 and was succeeded by Imam Sayed Hassan Qazwini.
Both attained positions of national prominence as the day’s most visible
imam during their tenures; Qazwini occasionally serves as an informal
consultant to the White House on American Muslim issues. And on a more
local level, Qazwini has undertaken projects of unprecedented scale in
the community, including a new $15 million complex near the two college
campuses on Ford Road and a Muslim American Youth Academy with 170 day
students, from kindergarten through sixth grade.
Chirri’s project to balance the left and right of Dearborn’s Muslim
populace did not go uncontested. Rejecting the centrism and
Americanization of the Islamic Center, several more conservative mosques
were founded in Dearborn in the 1980s. Most recently, the Karbalaa
Islamic Educational Center opened in 1993 as a community center for
Iraqi Shi’a refugees. The center lies in a 6,000 square-foot hall on
Warren Avenue that had earlier housed a nightclub–Club Gay Haven.
Grown From a Backroom
Places of worship have not been the sole forum for the conversation
regarding the role of religion in the lives of Dearborn’s Muslim
community. The debate has extended into non-sectarian Arab
organizations, and even into municipal government. Secular Arab
organizations, such as the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social
Services (ACCESS), founded by Donnie Unis in 1967 and presently led by
Ishmael Ahmed, have struggled to find a niche for themselves in a
diverse community. ACCESS emerged when a group of young,
second-generation Arab Americans, influenced by the war in Vietnam and
by contact with the Black Panthers, came together to become more
politically involved with the local Arab community. Local mosques
initially disparaged the organization as an institutional competitor run
by radicals and atheists. On two occasions, ACCESS’s first building was
victim to arson.
The first years of ACCESS’s history were characterized by great idealism
but little institutional development. According to its current vice
president, Hassan Jaber, ACCESS’s founders were “more used to discussing
political theory than delivering services.” Later, as refugees from
southern Lebanon arrived in greater numbers, the group’s leaders
commissioned a University of Michigan professor to conduct a study of
the immigrant population and found among the city’s Arabs a number of
troubling vulnerabilities–possibly the highest infant mortality rate in
the nation, an unemployment rate of 30 percent, a population whose
majority could not speak English, a 30 percent illiteracy rate in
Arabic, and alarming incidences of post-traumatic and other emotional
syndromes.
On a volunteer basis, Unis and others tried to correct some of these
ills by providing immigrants with English lessons, assistance navigating
welfare and social security bureaucracies, and the like. With the hiring
of a grant writer and considerable dedication by its leaders, ACCESS
grew from the backroom of a Southend store into a building on Salina
Street, and now resides in two new buildings on Schaeffer Street devoted
to health care and employment counseling. Privatization of social
services due to Michigan’s welfare reform process has greatly increased
ACCESS’s importance. In the ‘60s and ‘70s, ACCESS met with resistance
from the Muslim community; today, according to Lebanese-born Abed
Hammoud, a Wayne County assistant prosecutor, “Nobody says ACCESS is
doing too much. The question is how to get involved, not should we get
involved.”
The community’s constellation of organizations is rounded out by a
highly active American Arab Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1992, a
newspaper, the Arab American News (or Al-Watan), published since 1984 by
Osama Siblani, and Muslim and Arabic-language programming on
public-access cable channel 15. Two of the larger village communities
have formal institutions: the Bint Jbeil Cultural Center and the older,
larger American Federation of Ramallah, Palestine. As Hammoud says,
“There’s not one Arab organization that the entire Arab American
community embraces.”
Starting with the School Board
In February of 2001, Dearborn Public Schools began accepting proposals
from halal food distributors to provide food to its 28 public schools.
“The whole point is to give foods they can eat, so they’re nourished and
can function in the classroom,” Bob Cipriano, the district’s business
manager, told the New York Times. Eight years earlier, Dearborn schools
banned pork from their lunches to accommodate Muslim dietary guidelines.
Pressure from the city’s school board, organized groups of parents, and
the federal and state governments has resulted in further accommodations
to Muslim students in Dearborn’s public schools. Parental advocacy
forced the separation of gym classes by gender in one Southend school.
And the federal Office of Civil Rights has been responsible for several
expansions of bilingual instruction for Arab-speaking students.
As the governmental body to which Muslims and Arabs first won election
of municipal positions, Dearborn’s school board has played in important
role in both school and community affairs. A recent bond issue led to
the emergence on the board of a cohesive, energetic pro-Arab bloc marked
by its idealism and tactical skill. A coalition of neighborhood
activists defeated bond proposals of $50 million in 1999 and 2000 that
would have allocated insufficient funding to heavily overcrowded Arab
schools. Two of those activists, Mary Lane and Aimee Blackburn,
subsequently won election to the school board, from there devising a
$150 million bond to construct three new elementary schools and 26 new
high school classrooms in Arab neighborhoods. The remainder of the board
acquiesced in the proposal, certain that it, like the others, would
fail. With the assistance of Abed Hammoud, this last bond proposal
carried with 900 votes. The campaign’s success markedly raised the local
political profile of Dearborn’s Arab and Muslim communities, as well as
that of the Arab American Political Action Committee founded by Hammoud
(himself a former mayoral candidate) and now led by Osama Siblani.
Muslims and the Broader Community
Despite the successes, Arab exclusion from municipal administration and
the police force is nearly total, and the city is led by a mayor,
Michael Guido, who first won office in 1985 running against “our Arab
problem.” He has since moderated his public stand toward the community,
but still makes periodic political recourse to anti-Arab sentiment to
solidify support among his graying, white ethnic base. According to
Hammoud, “What the mayor does is he makes sure that he doesn’t mention
anything positive about the Arab American community. He says things like
diversity is great, but he never says that the Arab American community
is contributing to Dearborn.”
Politically engaged Muslims say that greater Muslim and Arab influence
in local governance is a demographic inevitability. They criticize the
present mayor for failing to knit together the growing Arab, the
declining Italian American, and other white ethnic communities. They
have no organizations in common–civic, religious, or otherwise.
Consequently, unspoken suspicion combined with outspoken protests of any
governmental support tends to be the watchword from white ethnic
leaders.
White elected officials, with the exception of the school board
officials already noted, boast of their “good ties” to the Arab
community while complaining off the record of its growing influence
within the city. While Dearborn’s white residents brag about how well
their city weathered the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of September
11, 2001, the Arabs are quicker to remember the broken storefront
windows, the threatening 2 a.m. telephone calls, and insulting highway
graffiti. They also remember Abed Hammoud’s sudden setback on September
11, the day of Dearborn’s mayoral primary. Arab Americans feared leaving
their homes to go to the polls while whites made an abrupt decision to
vote for Dearborn’s Italian American candidate.
Yet Hammoud also worries about the inevitable ramifications that will
ensue the election of an Arab mayor. Unprepared for this eventuality and
without a groundwork of cross-communal understanding, the white
community will flee the city to further removed white enclaves–a new
brand of white flight for the 21st century. Ideally white society will
grow to incorporate the growing Muslim community in their midst, just as
most of Dearborn’s Muslims continue to shift focus from their countries
of birth towards a distinctly Arab, but very much American, civil
society in their new home–an assimilated political stance directed not
towards Lebanon but to Dearborn city hall, Lansing, and Washington.
SIDEBAR: Arab Muslim Immigration to Dearborn since World War II
Palestine
Following the creation of the state of Israel in 1948, a second wave of
Muslim immigration began. The Refugee Relief Act allowed Palestinians to
immigrate to the United States. Dearborn attracted Sunni Muslims from
the villages of Beit Hanina and Bireh, while Christians from Ramallah
moved to adjoining western Wayne County. The 1967 war, the Intifada, and
regional economic stagnation from 1988 resulted in additional waves of
Palestinian immigration to Dearborn. Palestinian immigrants changed Arab
Dearborn from a principally Christian and working-class neighborhood to
one that was increasingly Muslim and professional.
Lebanon
Beginning in 1975 and continuing until 1991, a period in which one third
of Lebanon’s population emigrated, Lebanese Shi’a displaced by their
country’s civil war arrived in Dearborn. Particularly large numbers
arrived from the Biqa Valley and Tibnin, Bint Jubayl, and Nabiteyeh in
the south. These emigrants settled in large numbers both in the Southend
area and in East Dearborn, around Warren Street. Christian refugees from
this period tended, like the Palestinian Christians, to settle to the
west, in Farmington Hills, Westland, and Livonia.
Yemen
Unaccompanied Yemeni males had been migrating to Dearborn since the
beginning of Arab immigration, but in the mid-1970s they began to arrive
in larger numbers. Less educated and less fluent in English than other
Muslim immigrants, they hold unskilled positions in Dearborn and send
remittances to their families in Yemen. Rather than bring their families
to Dearborn, they themselves return to Yemen–frequently and, with time,
permanently. More strictly religious than many of the other groups, the
Yemenis shun what they regard as the corruptive influence of American
society. They concentrate in Southend with other Yemenis, with the
result that the neighborhood now shows the influence of the Yemeni
countryside in dress, its absence of women from public spaces, and the
centering of male social life around the neighborhood’s coffeehouses.
From the mid-1980s on, an increasing proportion–rising from a tenth to a
quarter–of Yemenis have immigrated as intact families rather than
solitary males.
Iraq
More recently, the southern Shi’a Iraqis came to Dearborn fleeing Saddam
Hussein in the aftermath of the 1991 Gulf War and the failed Shi’a
rebellion. Coming chiefly from Basra, Al Nasiriyya, and the Al Amarah
and Hawr al Hammar marshes by way of the Rafgha refugee camp in Saudi
Arabia, nearly ten thousand of them were granted asylum in the United
States. Nearly all of them migrated to Dearborn as soon as they were
able and there have formed a very tightly knit community located along
Dearborn’s northern border with Detroit.

Tehran/Berlin - The Iranian Foreign Ministry called in the French charge
d'affaires in Tehran Wednesday to demand that the European Union (EU)
prevent the holding of an "anti-Islam congress" planned for the German
city of Cologne later this month.
The Foreign Ministry voiced concern about what it called the "growing
anti-Islam trend" in Europe, appealing to the current French presidency
of the EU to act, the official news agency IRNA reported.
IRNA reported that the French diplomat had condemned all forms of
racism, pledging that the Iranian request would be followed up and
Tehran would be kept informed about the congress.
The congress has been called by the right-wing, Cologne-based, activist
group Pro-Cologne, which last month failed in its attempts to halt the
building of a large mosque in the western German city.
Pro-Cologne has called a three-day anti-Islam congress for September
19-21, drawing support from the right-wing Freedom Party of Austria (FPOe)
and the Belgian-Flemish right-wing Vlaams Belang Party, as well as
prominent French right-winger Jean-Marie Le Pen, founder of the Front
National (FN).
"The time has come to draw the line: Europe and Germany say 'no' to
Islamification and immigrant invasion," the organization proclaims in
German, French, Italian and English in advertising the congress on its
website.
The congress, which culminates in a mass rally on Cologne's Haymarket
square on September 20, is aimed at promoting "Western values and
Christian traditions." Le Pen is expected to speak.
Pro-Cologne uses as its logo a mosque with a red line drawn through it
in the shape of a traffic sign.
Left-wing groups have called counter-demonstrations to coincide with the
rally.
The Interior Ministry of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia,
within which Cologne falls, said it had looked into banning the
congress, but had come to the conclusion that there were insufficient
grounds to do so.
The German constitution gave strong protection to freedom of assembly,
Interior Ministry spokeswoman Carola Holzberg said.
Holzberg said pro-Köln had informed police they were expecting around
1,000 supporters to attend the September 20 rally.
Police are expecting up to 40,000 to protest against the congress.
On August 28, the Cologne City Council gave the go-ahead for a
controversial mosque with a dome 37 metres high and two minarets rising
to 55 metres to be built in the suburb of Ehrenfeld. (dpa)
Here is my response to Kaleem Kawaja’s letter titled “Why Hindus are
angry at Muslims in India,” published in the India Tribune of August 2,
2008.
Hindus have not just one but one million reasons to be angry at Muslims
in India. Let me list only a few of them for Mr. Kawaja’s kind-hearted
understanding, even though I believe Mr. Kawaja is deliberately acting
to be ignorant of the reasons behind this Hindu mindset and the history
– past and present. So, I will try to make it as simple and as clear for
him as possible… and, for all those ‘secularists’ and Leftists who
pretend to be naive just like Mr. Kawaja.
1. First of all, Hindus hold Muslims responsible for the vivisection of
their country that they consider as their MOTHER. Hindus adorably call
it Bharat-Mata, Matru-Bhoomi, Puniya-Bhoomi, Dharma-Bhoomi,
Swarag-Bhoomi, etc.
2. Hindus cannot understand why the Muslims are still living in India.
It is a well-known fact that in 1946 elections, more than 90% of the
Muslims voted for the breakup of the greater India and the creation of a
Muslim land called Pakistan. Despite getting their Muslim land – believe
it or not – only 15% Muslims left for the Pakistan and 85% of them
stayed put in India. Hindus really want all these Muslims living in
India to leave Hindus alone in their country.
3. Hindus are upset that Muslims are having a cake and want to eat it
too. Thus, Hindus can see that Muslims have opened a separate bank
account for Muslims in Pakistan and Bangladesh, while they are operating
a joint bank account with Hindus in India. This is not right and
absolutely unfair. Hindus do not want to share the India with Muslims.
4. Again, at the time of Partition of India in 1947, there were 20%
Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan. Now there are only 1% or so. In 1947 there
were more than 30% Hindus in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh), at this
time there are only 8% Hindus there. Hindus want Muslims to explain what
happened to all those Hindus. Hindus are absolutely unhappy about the
ethnic cleansing of Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
5. Conversely, during the same period the Muslim population in India has
been rising with leaps and bounds. Muslim numbers in India have risen
from 9% in 1951 to 15% now. Hindus abhor this. In the unprecedented rise
of Muslim population in India, Hindus clearly see a mortal threat to
their very existence as Hindus. They see this as a conspiracy to breakup
and divide their country all over again.
6. Hindus simply will never be able to forget the massive scale of
rapes, murders, loot and mayhem let lose by Muslims on the peaceful
Hindus in Kashmir and the vicious ethnic cleansing in their own country.
7. How can Hindus forget massacre of our 35 Sikh brothers at
Chattisinghpora in the State of Jammu and Kashmir in year 2000, an
attack on Jammu and Kashmir State Legislature in October, 2001, another
attack on the India’s National Parliament in December 2001, yet another
attack on the American Cultural Center in January 2002, the roasting
alive of 56 women and children in February 2002 at Godhra Railway
Station in Gujarat State, the killing of more than 30 members of
families of Army personnel in May 2002, serial bomb attacks on passenger
trains and public places in the country’s financial capital Mumbai on
August 2005 that killed 46 people and injured 160, another devilish
attack on the Hindu religious place, the Akshardham Temple in September
2002 – 29 individuals including 16 women and four children killed, the
butchering of Hindus in Mau in State of Uttar Pradesh, the Delhi bomb
blasts in October 2005 – 70 people killed, massacre of Gujjars in Doda
and Udhampur, in State of Jammu and Kashmir in May 2006, a second series
of Mumbai train bomb blasts in July 2006 – 200 people dead, a separate
series of bomb blasts in Lucknow, Varanasi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and
Bangluru – hundreds killed.
8. While Hindus in Jammu agitating for the legitimate rights of Hindu
pilgrims in Amernath raise the slogan of Bharat Mata ki Jai, the Muslims
in Srinagar, to the great mortification and chagrin of Hindus, wave
green flags of Pakistan and openly raise the slogans of Pakistan
Zindabad (long live Pakistan)! This treacherous behavior of Muslims is
unacceptable and outrageous to Hindus and causes a serious heartburn to
them.
9. Recently, in a shocking disclosure, India’s National Security
Advisor, M.K. Narayanan while talking to newsmen in Singapore disclosed
that 800 terrorist cells are operating in the country. These home grown
terrorists are none other than the Indian Muslims who provide shelter,
guidance, financial assistance and other infrastructure facilities to
the terrorists to kill more and more Hindus and destabilize Indian
economy. Hindus have every reason to express their indignation and angst
at this blatant anti-national activity.
10. All Kashmiri Muslims are doing roaring business all over India.
There are Haj Houses all over the country. But the Muslim leaders are
openly and repeatedly declaring that they would not give “an inch of
land” in Hindu India to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. What an act of
ingratitude!
11. Hindus simply cannot erase from their memory the Great Killings of
Calcutta on August 16-17, 1946 in which more than 5,000 Hindus were
butchered by Muslim fanatics supported by the Muslim Chief Minister of
Bengal. Hindus also vividly recall the genocide of 5,000 unarmed Hindus
in Noakhali in Bengal State around the same time. Hindus simply cannot
forget the beastly brutalities perpetrated by the West Pakistani Muslim
military establishment on the East Pakistan Hindus during the Bangladesh
uprising in 1971. Events like these are unparalleled in the history of
humanity.
12. Describing the unimaginable capacity of the Muslim mind to conduct
the dance of devil, Mr. A. Ghosh, the celebrated author of book “Kafir
and Quran,” writes: “In many cases a whole community (of Hindus in East
Pakistan) was encircled. Mothers and daughters were raped on a mass
scale, in presence of brothers or fathers. Breasts of elderly ladies
were chopped off. Pregnant women were disemboweled; infants’ heads were
smashed on the floor. Then followed the chopping off of genitals,
gouging out of eyes, and on and on and on. As a grand finale, everybody
was put in a house and the house was set on fire.”
13. Hindus also remember very well as to how the Sikh Guru Arjun Dev was
made to sit on a hot plate over the raging fire and the hot sand was
poured over his body… until he died. Hindus and Sikhs will never be able
to forget as to how another Sikh Guru, Teg Bahadur Saheb, was murdered
in cold blood by the Muslims because he refused to convert to Islam.
Hindus remember the two young sons of the last Sikh Guru, Gobind Singh,
who were bricked alive by the Muslim ruler, as they refused to embrace
the Islam.
14. For the information of Mr. Kawaja, listed here are only a few of the
Muslim militant organizations that preach hatred and violence against
the Kafirs… principally the Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists… and are
working overtime to establish Nizame-Mustafa (the Islamic domination) in
India: (1) Muslim Volunteer Force, (2) Islamic Revolutionary Front, (3)
Islamic Liberation Army of Assam, (4) Jamait-e-Islami, (4) Hurriyat
Conference, (5) Jamit-al-Quran Hadis, (6) Tamilnadu Muslim Munnetra
Kazhagam, (7) Al Ummah, (8) Islamic Movement of India, (8) Student
Islamic Movement of India (the notorious SIMI), (9) Islamic Youth
Center, (10) Jihad Committee, (11) Muslim United Liberation Tigers of
Assam, (12) Muslim Liberation Front of Assam, (13) Al Huda, (14) Jehad,
(15) Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen, (16) National Democratic Front, (17) Mili
Parliament, (18) Indian Muslim Mohammadi Mujahideen, and (19) Indian
Mujaheden. The principal aim of all the above groups is the annihilation
of Hindus.
15. Hindus in India and the Indian subcontinent have witnessed an
unprecedented continued chain of barbarism by Muslims in the last 1400
years. In 712 A.D., the then Governor of Iraq sitting two thousand miles
away from the Indian capital Delhi, ordered the Iraqi Muslim ruler in
India to bring about the destruction on unbeliever Hindus (unbeliever:
the Hindus that do not believe in Islam) if they did not accept Islam.
The historical chronicles tell us that in the merciless slaughter that
ensued, 26,000 Hindu men were murdered and 20,000 young Hindu girls were
enslaved and dispatched to Khalifa in Baghdad.
16. Akbar was the slaughterer of Hindus. Jahangir, in his autobiography
"Tarikh-i-Salim Shahi" wrote that under Akbar and Jahangir "five to six
hundred thousand (over half a million) Hindus were killed." (Tarikh-i-Salim:
Translated By Price, pp. 225-6). In Akbar’s military conquest of Chittor
in the State of Rajasthan, Abul Fazl recorded that "on Akbar’s orders,
eight thousand Rajput warriors were first disarmed and then slain; along
with them forty thousand peasants also were slain." (The Islamic
treatment of PoW, Surah 8, Ayat 67, the Quran) (Akbarnama by Abul Fazl
translated into English by H. Beveridge)
We can go on and on and on… with the never-ending saga of Muslim
misdeeds against the Hindus. Hindus may not have readily available with
them the specific details of the each one of the above acts of extreme
Muslim brutality. The Hindu ‘secular’ leadership also takes extreme
pains to ensure that the endless tails of Muslim atrocities… against the
Hindus… do not get recalled, remembered, written, memorialized, entered
in history books, or spoken from the public platforms.
But the naked truth is that the painful wounds of Muslim savagery,
treachery, betrayal, deceit, dishonesty, disloyalty, duplicity… on the
naïve Hindu psyche… are too numerous to count and too deep to heal.
These painful sores of history – the distant past and still ongoing –
have traumatized the Hindus so much and for so long that they just
cannot be healed, nor can their memory be completely erased from the
Hindu subconscious mind. Hindu mind will continue to be haunted and
tortured at the slightest glimpse of the classic pattern of Muslim
dishonesty and betrayal.
Does Mr. Kawaja need any more reasons, any more examples, to explain why
Hindus don’t trust Muslims and why they appear to be angry at Muslims?
Thank you for taking the time to read this. It has taken many years for
me to gain the courage to leave Islam. Being an intelligent person I
have believed deep to my soul since childhood that Islam is not a
religion, but rather false stories created by mankind. I have always
wanted to escape the horror of these lies. But I was threatened and
scared and forced into Islam. I am very proud and happy to announce that
finally I have left Islam.
I should mention that my experience has been with Shia Islam. I was
raised a Shia Muslim. Therefore my reasons for leaving Islam are based
on my years of struggle with the sect of Shia’ism. However, I do believe
that all Muslims will be able to find reason, like I have, and with
courage and self confidence leave this so called religion, so that they
can be free and at peace with life.
Let me outline my reasons, point by point, on why I left Islam.
1) ISLAM WAS CREATED BY MAN
Muslim books and scholars want you to believe that this is a divine
Religion brought down to the Earth by God himself. This is a lie. What
actually happened is as follows:
1400 years ago, around 600 AD human beings on this planet had found ways
to control their societies. For example, the white race had developed a
set of rules founded in Christianity, that was used to lead their race
down the right path. To teach their people to do good.
Similarly other races on this planet had used their own respective rules
or religions to do the same. To teach right, to guide, to help their
societies, to control the ones who were headed astray. At this time, in
Arabia, there were Arabs. These were without a doubt the worst humans on
the planet. They were totally and absolutely out of control. It was a
disastrous environment.
So the scholars of the time in Arabia decided that they needed a very
strict and harsh method of restraining these uncivilized Arab men.
That is when all their rules and regulations on how to live were laid
down in a book (that we now call the Quran). If you look at these
original rules of the religion of Islam: praying 5 times a day, fasting
40 days a year, no alcohol, etc, you can clearly see how strict it is.
Yes, it is for a reason, to control the uncivilized Arabs.
But I certainly, here in the year 2003, living in the west in a
civilized society, do not need to pray five times a day, in a language I
do not understand (Arabic). I certainly do not (and won’t ever) starve
myself 40 days out of the year to prove something that I already know
about myself.
Muslims insist that Islam is a "way of life." Yes, but it is the "way of
life" for a bunch of savage desert dwellers of the 7th century.
My dear Muslim friend, use your judgment and intelligence. Do not simply
follow false beliefs blindly.
2) CONCEPT OF PURDAH
a) “Purdah” Part One
Purdah is a component in Islam in which Women and Men are separated at
religious functions by a curtain or a wall. Men sit on one side and
women sit on the other side. This occurs not only at religious functions
but also at weddings and other social functions.
What is the purpose of this? Do you feel that sitting with your family
(which includes your mother and sister) at a religious function is sin?
Do Muslims feel that other Muslim men will be aroused if they see women
at a religious function?
If so, then this is ridiculous. Muslim men see women all the time.
Anytime you step outside your house you see women, at the mall, at the
grocery store, at your job, at your school, everywhere. Surely you are
not ‘jumping’ on every woman you see.
Isolating young men from women has very detrimental effects. What it
does is, it places a ‘fear’ of women in these young men. Since they are
never allowed to speak to, look at, or associate with other Muslim
females. This leads to a tremendous lack of self-confidence, depression
and feelings of self-pity. The simple truth is that men need interaction
with women. To cut this off is like cutting off blood supply or removing
oxygen from the atmosphere.
The irony is that our Muslim parents want us to marry other Muslims. But
with this purdah system, there is hardly any interaction between Muslim
girls and boys.
These are backward, archaic traditions. Muslims do not have the logic or
courage to change or eliminate them. They are more comfortable doing
something that is wrong, than changing and doing something that is
right.
b) “Purdah” Part Two
Purdah also applies to the scarf that many Muslim women wear on their
head to cover their hair. This is an Islamic tradition that many hold.
They believe that women should not let their hair to be seen because it
entices or attracts men.
This is not only ridiculous but completely untrue. The most striking
feature of a woman is not her hair. It is her face. Some may even
suggest that it is her body. But nevertheless, it is not her hair. I
feel so sorry for these Muslim women who are forced into this Purdah.
Deep down inside they hate it, and they know it is wrong. But they are
blamed and made to feel ashamed if they ever try to take off the “Hijab”
They are brain washed into wearing it and I must admit that the
brainwashers do a very good job of putting fear into these unfortunate
women.
3) TRAGEDY OF WOMEN
Women in Islam are forced by their parents to marry who the parents feel
is appropriate. Many parents who live in the west may deny this. But the
truth is that the parents place a very strong hold on this tradition.
The worst part is that once the marriage has occurred the women cannot
leave under any circumstance. Here are the reasons Muslim women have
been forced to stay in horrific marriages with Muslim men:
a) Fear of being alone.
They fear that they will not find anyone else to marry. Muslim women who
divorce are looked at as tainted and Muslim men hardly accept such women
for marriage.
b) Fear of being shunned by the community
Muslim communities ridicule and make fun of divorced women. You are more
well liked if you 'put up and shut up' with your abusive husband. Women
who break free are considered 'trouble makers' and indecent in this
backward community of Muslims. Very religious women, feel that divorce
is the worst thing that can happen to them. This is due to the religious
teachings they hold so dear. So they have no choice but to stay in a
terrible marriage.
c) Cannot break the hold their husbands have on them
Muslim men know their wives’ weak points. They know how to control their
wives. They know how to effectively lie to their wives. Muslim men
believe that their wives are their 'property'.
d) Financial restrictions
Because many Muslim women are married young, they may not be well
educated (due to the culture and it's double standards against women).
Therefore they are financially dependent on their husbands, for life.
e) Afraid that a divorce may tarnish her family name
Many Muslim women feel that a divorce will tarnish the family name and
may even lead to lack of proposals for their daughters. So they stay for
this reason also.
f) Lack of self-confidence
This is due to the repeated abuse, young age at marriage and lack of
freedom given to women in this religion. Also they would not have the
self-confidence to meet or find someone else to marry. It is very
difficult or sometimes impossible to bring sense into them. They refuse
to take action because of the above listed reasons.
4) ISLAM TEACHES HATE
This is a known fact. I could write about 30 pages on this. But I will
limit this point to a few paragraphs.
a) Quran
It is well known that the holy book of Islam - the Quran has several
verses, which teach Muslims anyone who is not a Muslim is a ‘Kafir’ who
will go to hell for eternity. It is also written that Christians and
Jews are among the non-believers and that Muslims must not associate
with them.
My dear Muslim friends. Do you honestly believe in these things? Do you
honestly believe that your Christian teacher, or Christian boss, or
Jewish neighbor or your Jewish doctor is going to hell for simply
because he or she is not a Muslim?
I think I have been very lucky in that I have had the opportunity to
meet and make friends with many people from all walks of life and
religions. This has allowed me to open up my mind and realize that all
humans are equal. What separates us is not the religion we are born
into, but rather our actions and how we treat others.
b) India vs Pakistan
Pakistan is a country that was founded by Muslim extremists in 1947
because of their hate for Hindu’s in India. When the Muslim founder of
Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinah was secretly organizing terrorist activities
against Hindu villages, the Hindu ‘father’ of India Mahatma Gandhi was
fasting and holding peace marches in an attempt to end violence and
blood shed.
Gandhi preached non-violence all his life. Yet he was put into prison by
the Brits, many times. In contrast Jinha, who killed, robbed, destroyed
and terrorized millions of Hindu’s did not spend a single day in jail in
his entire life.
I could go on and on but the biggest tragedy is that Pakistani’s living
in the west, are still being so brainwashed, that they feel that Muslims
from India are not as worthy as they are. When in fact it was the
Muslims in India who stayed in their country and supported unity!
As a result of all this turmoil, Pakistani Muslims are taught to hate
Indian Muslims and Indian Muslims are supposed to hate Pakistani
Muslims. But when they all come and live in the west they become friends
out of necessity, because God forbid, they can’t associate with
Christians or Jews!
For an accurate depiction of what Pakistani Muslim Men are like, watch
Ayub Khan, Din’s magnificent film called “East is East”.
c) Hypocrisy and Lack of Logic or Reason
The truth is that Muslims don’t care about each other. They don’t.
Muslims only care about proving that they are better than everyone else.
The driving force of the religion is to denounce other religions and to
show that Islam is the better. Therefore Muslims, have placed themselves
on a false pedestal of superiority.
My friends, consider this:
Muslims insist that Muslims should enjoy all human rights and make
infinite number of mosques in western countries but ban Kafirs
(non-Muslims) from Mecca and Medina.
Muslims insist on the evils of the Western culture and the virtues of
Islam but at the same time do everything possible to immigrate to the
West in order to escape oppression of the Islamic countries.
Muslims insist that Islam is a logical religion and everyone with pure
motives will become a Muslim while forgetting that their own ancestors
were forced to accept Islam and many were killed for resisting.
5) THE SHIA – SUNNI FEUD
I was born into a Shia Muslim family. Never once in my life did I have
any feeling of hatred or animosity toward any Sunni Muslim for any
reason. But I am supposed to!
Yes, this is correct. Shia’s are taught from an early age that to be a
true Shia Muslim you must hate Sunni Muslims. We are taught that Sunni
Muslims killed our sects founders and therefore we are not allowed to
marry them under any circumstance. How ridiculous!
It is extremely common for Shia’s and Sunni’s to make friends with each
other, to come over to each other’s houses, talk on the phone etc. But
as soon as the holy month of Moharrum arrives, Shia’s preach hatred
toward Sunni’s daily at their religious functions. But when Moharrum is
completed they go right back to ‘hanging out’ with their Sunni friends.
Someone really needs to explain to these Muslims that they are not only
confused but also very sad and disturbed.
6) SYED vs Non-SYED
This is an obscure point that I myself was very surprised to hear about.
Basically ‘Syed’ means that one can trace his/her ancestors all the way
back the Prophet Muhammad (founder of Islam).
‘Non-Syed’ is someone who became a Shia Muslim somewhere along the way
(in the last 1400 years). Who cares!
What kind of religion places a lower rank to members who cannot prove
that they are related to the founder of the religion? Does common sense
ever enter the minds of these Muslims? I don’t think so.
CONCLUSION
I think that anyone who is financially independent, and who is not
afraid, can leave Islam.
The only people who stay in this so called Religion are those who are
too trapped or too brainwashed.
I feel the only way we can make this world a better place is to get to
the root of evil. This root is the false teachings of Islam. Freedom and
true happiness and the right way to live, can be achieved. My friends,
you know what is right; you only have one life, do it now!
I wish the very best to all Muslims and I hope they will not perpetuate
these false teachings of Islam to their children.
Thank you and hope that you are always happy, healthy and safe.

Why
I want to leave Islam
by Anonymous 20 Aug, 2008
http://www.islam-watch.org/ExMuslims/Why-I-want-to-leave-Islam.htm
That my religion's founder called women, "a toy" (Tuffaha, Ahmad Zaky,
Al-Mar'ah wal-Islam, Dar al-Kitab al-Lubnani, Beirut, first edition,
1985, p. 180)
That my religion forces my sister and mother to wear a burka, long
sleeved shirt (and maybe even a jacket to which I have seen women have
to wear!) even in 120 degree weather
That even if my sister and mother do wear this crap, they still are
groped, pinched, harassed and even raped!
That my dad can beat my mother and not even be asked about it (Ibn-Kathir,
"a man must not be asked why he beat his wife." -sura 4:34)
That my dad can force my mother to be in her room as long as he wants:
That my sister's and mother's testimony automatically means one half a
man's testimony just because they are women! (sura 2:11)
That my own clerics defend the rape of non-muslim women by muslim men
CALLING IT THE FAULT OF THE WOMEN!
That my own leaders will SAY THEY ARE FOR PEACE BUT WHEN THEY GET BACK
TO THEIR OWN COUNTRY, THEY WILL PROMOTE BLOODSHED AGAINST NON-MUSLIMS:
That my god was the pagan moon-god of the Arabians
That my founder married a 6 year old girl
That whenever truth is brought out about my founder, my own people will
threaten to kill those who are bringing out the truth
That my fellow-believer (who are restaurant and pastry owners) are
putting crap in their food when they sell it to non-muslims
That my fellow-believers can throw gasoline upon a woman (even if she
steps outside the house and talks to a man!) set her ablaze AND CALL IT
AN "HONOR KILLING!":
That many of my clerics around the world are calling for bloodshed
against the non-Muslim
That my own holy book condones war against the non-muslim
That those who deny my holy book condones war against the non-muslim are
"watering down" my holy book just to make it say something they want it
or not want it to say
That those who "water down" my holy book matters well do that to the
whole koran
That my holy book says god "leads those who he will" and "misleads those
who he will."
That Saudi textbooks call Christians "swine" and Jews "condemnable"
AFTER MY OWN LEADERS TRY TO APPEASE THEM TO THEIR FACES HAVING A
DOUBLE-STANDARD!
That my leaders will keep blaming Israel and the US for it's own
troubles!
That sexual intercourse is ONLY for the man, and not the woman
(contemporary Muslim commentator)
That my mom has to please my dad at all times in order for her to enter
paradise (Hadith no. ii, 60)
That although women outnumber men in hell, she MAY be able to slip into
paradise ONLY if she is totally obedient, and TOTALLY pleasing to her
husband at the time of her death.
That it is said, "When a woman comes she comes in the form of a devil."
(Hadith no. 3240).
That it is said, "The support of the woman (nafaaqa) is obligatory on
the man in return for the woman being locked up in the man's house, and
for being exclusively his." ('Abd ar-Rahman al-Gaziri, al-Fiqh 'ala al-Mazahibib
al-Arba'a, Dar al-Kutub al-'EElmeyah, 1990, vol. 4, pg. 495.)
THAT A MAN HAS THE RIGHT TO PREVENT HIS WIFE FROM CARING FOR HER CHILD
FROM A PREVIOUS MARRIAGE ("The husband has the right to prevent his wife
form looking after and breast feeding her baby, from her previous
husband, (if she was living in the husband's house), because that will
make her too busy to attend to the husband, and it will affect her
beauty and cleanliness, all these are the rights of the husband alone."
(Hanafites.--'Abd ar-Rahman al-Gaziri, 1990, vol. 4., p. 488.)
That when Islamists complain about how "they are treated" in other
countries, in their own countries they burn churches, kidnap non-Muslim
women, persecute them and even kill them if they convert from Islam
calling it "honor killing" (like, the guy in Saudi Arabia--never
prosecuted for cutting out his daughter's tongue and brutally killing
her.
That "Honor killings" are not prosecuted even if it's a Muslim daughter
or wife.
Comment: Though
this description of his book seems rather tame it still troubles me
deeply that Imam Hassan Qazwini would support the viewing of a terrorist
television station right in the middle of Dearborn, where he heads the
largest mosque in American. Dearborn is home to the largest
Islamic population in America and his support of this
terrorist television
station is very disconcerting.
Product Description
In
this inspiring narrative, one of this country’s most important Muslim
leaders reveals the story of his life and his faith, and why Islam is
good for America. As the religious leader of the Islamic Center of
America in Dearborn, Michigan, Imam Hassan Qazwini serves the largest
Muslim congregation in the United States. His dramatic journey to these
shores began in 1971, when his father’s anti-Baathist views forced his
family to flee from Saddam’s Iraq to Kuwait and then to war-torn Iran.
Then, in 1992, with his father’s blessing, he left for the United
States, a place where young Muslims were seeking spiritual guidance and
where his children could grow up in the peace Qazwini had been denied.
First in California and then in Michigan, Qazwini saw a shocking new
world in which leaders were openly mocked, women’s bodies were on
display in public, and Christian symbols were disparaged without
consequence. He also saw a land in which the lack of a common faith
necessitated a great effort to create a shared community. By counseling
American Muslims–and sharing his religion with those of other beliefs–he
came to feel at home in the country he already loved, and he became a
trusted advisor to local and national politicians.
Then, after 9/11, Osama bin Laden gave him “a new full-time job.”
American Crescent vividly describes Qazwini’s efforts to show Americans
how those who destroyed the World Trade Center had hijacked Islam as
well, and that most Muslims were appalled by their actions. Yet he also
takes the Bush administration to task for championing the prejudicial
Patriot Act (after Muslims supported George W. Bush in the 2000
election) and deplores its conduct in the Iraq War.
Throughout American Crescent, Qazwini offers a revelatory look at the
tenets and history of Islam, defending it as a faith of peace and
diversity, and challenging stereotypes and misconceptions promulgated by
the media. Iran, he points out, has a higher percentage of women in its
parliament than the United States does in both houses of Congress. “If
you want to learn about Islam,” he writes, “turn off the TV.”
At once a fascinating personal story and a heartfelt plea to integrate
Islamic teachings into the tolerant traditions of America, this book is
an important contribution to our understanding of all those who live
among us, at a time when it matters most.

The most excellent jihad is the uttering of truth in the presence of an
unjust ruler.1 —The Prophet Muhammad ONE NIGHT IN early 1971, my father
came home at nine o’clock to find an urgent message from the governor of
Iraq’s Karbala province, Shabib al-Maliki. He returned the call, and
their conversation was brief, which made it either more ominous or less,
I’m not sure. Governor Maliki wanted to see him right away. Nine o’clock
was late for Karbala; in the Middle East lunch, not dinner, is the main
meal of the day, and the first call to prayer comes at dawn. My father’s
experiences over the previous ten years, and especially in the two and a
half years since the Baath party had come to power, had taught us that a
request for a late-night meeting could signal nothing positive. Two days
earlier, a close friend of my father’s, Ayatollah Mohammad Shirazi, had
fled the country after learning of a plot to assassinate him. Ayatollah
Shirazi was one of Iraq’s most learned and trusted scholars of Islamic
jurisprudence, a mujtahid, and he unflinchingly criticized the Baathists,
a dangerous practice under an anti-Shia regime whose ideology and rule
were based on consensus through fear. Baathist assaults frequently
targeted the outspoken and the charismatic. The more influential the
critic, the more savage the government’s response. It might start with
legal harassment and escalate to overt threats. Then anonymous agents of
the Mukhabarat, the secret police known as the “visitors of the dawn,”
would knock on your door in the pre-waking hours when witnesses were few
and the element of surprise high. If you were lucky, they administered a
beating. If you were not, they took you to headquarters for
interrogation, torture, or execution, depending on whether you told them
what they wanted to hear. Detainees at Abu Ghraib, the British-built
sixties-era facility where the Baathists held many of their political
prisoners, experienced cruelty of the most imaginatively ghoulish
varieties: scalding with boiling water in their most sensitive areas,
branding, crucifixion, blinding with insecticides, feet-first insertion
into an industrial grinder. They were dissolved in acid baths while
their wives were forced to watch. Some simply vanished. Upon learning of
his impending fate, Ayatollah Shirazi made the sensible decision to
avoid torture or death and instead struck out for Kuwait under cover of
darkness. He told no one of his plan. At the governor’s office soon
after receiving the message, my father joined a secretary and Governor
Maliki himself, who didn’t waste any time in revealing his agenda: Where
is your friend Shirazi? Why did he leave? My father could take some
comfort in the fact that Governor Maliki had seemingly called this
meeting to discuss Ayatollah Shirazi and not his own criticisms of the
regime, which were frequent. I don’t know where he went, my father
said—and it was true; he did not—but I can tell you that Ayatollah
Shirazi left because he feared for his life. Two years earlier,
Ayatollah Hassan Shirazi, Mohammad’s brother, had written poems mocking
the regime and openly denounced those in power as thugs and gangsters.
He was arrested, tortured, and nearly executed. Only widespread public
outrage at his treatment saved him. (He fled to Lebanon, where one of
Saddam Hussein’s agents assassinated him in 1980.) Governor Maliki
pretended for my father’s benefit that Ayatollah Mohammad Shirazi had
overreacted. Shirazi was very safe in Karbala, he said. He had no reason
to worry. You’re right, my father said, and the best proof of what you
say is the two sheikhs, Ayatollah Shirazi’s associates, who were
arrested at the doorstep of Imam Husayn’s shrine yesterday. (The shrine
dated to Karbala’s very origins and powerfully symbolized the struggles
for justice of all Shia Muslims.) Governor Maliki retorted that the
Iranian sheikhs, who were Shia clerics, had been deported for lack of
proper documentation. My father had known the governor, a Shia lawyer,
for years before the Baathists came to power, and he knew he could not
win this argument. Though not a Baathist himself, Maliki was accountable
to them, and the future awaiting a governor who defied the regime would
be dark, and short. The secretary left the room, and Governor Maliki
fell silent. When he spoke again, his officious tone had disappeared.
Sayed Mortadha, he said, I love you, and I don’t want you to get hurt.
He shook his head. I should not give you this advice. My position
requires that I not give you this advice . . . You will be next. If
Shirazi had stayed, he would not be alive right now. You should go. The
next morning my mother woke us up at four o’clock instead of the usual
seven and told us there would be no school that day. We were going on a
trip to Basra. I was six years old and so happy about not going to
school that I didn’t think to question why we had to rise so early. We
took only what we would need for a few days: a change of clothes and
some snacks for the car. Everything else, including my father’s
extensive library, stayed behind. Before we left, my grandfather
Ayatollah Mohammad Sadiq Qazwini stopped by the house, and my father
knelt to kiss his hand. As they embraced, I sensed that it would be a
long time before they saw each other again. A Mercedes-Benz cab pulled
up after morning prayers and all seven of us squeezed inside: my father,
my mother, my three older brothers, my one older sister, and me. A
ten-hour drive away, Basra was the largest city in southern Iraq, a
somewhat ragged old port town once known as the Venice of the Middle
East for its extensive canal system. Founded as a garrison a few years
after the death of the Prophet Muhammad, it seemed to be continually
caught in the middle of conflict, probably because of its strategic
position on the Shatt al-Arab, the union of the Tigris and Euphrates
rivers, near the Persian Gulf. All of Iraq’s oil exports passed this
way, and the borders of both Iran and Kuwait were less than thirty miles
away. Later the city would be hit hard in the eight-year Iran-Iraq War,
the Gulf War, and the Iraq War. The tone in the car was not at all
somber. For my siblings and me, this was a field trip. My father,
however, remained quiet throughout the drive, looking serious and
preoccupied. Occasionally he paged through a Qur’an he held on his lap
and whispered a few prayers. We stopped only for bathroom breaks, and
those weren’t frequent enough. North of Basra, the road forks; one road
leads downtown, and the other, the route we took, leads southwest to
Safwan, a village near the Kuwaiti border. We all noted the change in
plans, but none of us was brave enough to ask why we weren’t, in fact,
going to Basra. The closer we came to the border, the quieter my father
got. Iraq and Kuwait have a historically uneasy relationship. In the
days when the Ottoman empire controlled southeastern Europe, most of the
Middle East, and the Mediterranean coast of Africa, the two lands were
one, though for centuries Kuwait had a semiautonomous sheikhdom. Iraq
surrendered its claim to Kuwait when the former escaped British rule in
1932 but was unaware at that time of its neighbor’s vast petroleum
reserves. When Kuwait shed its status as a British protectorate in 1961,
Iraq’s prime minister, Abdul Karim Qasim, disputed the claim of
independence and mobilized troops on the border. War appeared imminent.
The British dispatched their military, backed by Arab countries, to
defuse the situation, and Prime Minister Qasim backed off. As a
well-known preacher and authority on Islamic principles, my father had
traveled to at least half a dozen countries to speak; those engagements
accounted for most of our household income. He refused to accept a
salary for teaching at the seminary, believing that work to be one of
his fundamental religious obligations. In a fortunate quirk of timing,
he was already scheduled to speak in Kuwait in two weeks, so the idea
that we were crossing as a family in advance of his lecture might have
seemed plausible to officers manning the checkpoints. At the border, my
father warned us to keep quiet and stay in the car. He strode to the
office and got his passport stamped. We passed through a second
checkpoint, then a third. Border guards would ask a few routine
questions, compare faces with passports, and wave us through. Perhaps
having a private driver lent the journey an air of legitimacy. Whatever
the reason, we entered Kuwait without incident, without the rest of us
even appreciating the risk involved. Later, at my uncle’s house in
Kuwait City, I overheard my uncle telling my father, “You were right.
You did the right thing, and you got out safely.” But if one of Saddam’s
spies had observed our flight and called ahead to the border checkpoint
. . . Governor Maliki, certainly an intelligent man, must have
calculated that the government would attribute our disappearance to fear
in the wake of Ayatollah Shirazi’s preemptive exile. Not only did the
governor never face punishment for his tip to my father, he also became
the minister of justice a decade later, when the name of that ministry
held even fewer promises for those at odds with the regime. The border
guards discovered too late that we were not supposed to leave the
country, but what punishment they suffered for their oversight, I cannot
say. BIRTH OF THE SHIA Whenever he deemed it useful, Saddam would kill
Muslims, Christians, Communists, and anyone else without regard for
their beliefs. In the 1950s he was so notorious as a hot-tempered
gangster on the streets of Sunni-dominated Tikrit, a rough-and-tumble
city to begin with, that the Baath party recruited him as an enforcer
while he was still in his teens. A few years later, they chose him to
lead the assassination of Prime Minister Qasim, who had gained power
through a coup himself the year before. Saddam failed (and took a bullet
in the process), but not...
The Coalition Against
Terrorist Media today called on Indonesia Telkom to cease its broadcasts
of al-Manar, Hezbollah’s television station, widely known for its
glorification of suicide bombings and incitement to violence.
“Indonesia is widely regarded as a role model for its commitment to
democratic principles and for the recognition that democracy can be
consistent with Islam. Indonesia Telkom, whose largest shareholder is
the government of Indonesia, should follow the lead of other major
satellite companies and cease its ties to Hezbollah’s propaganda arm.”
Mark Dubowitz, Manager of the Coalition, said, “The Jakarta government
should not be enabling the broadcast of al-Manar because it uses the
Quran to justify terrorism and violence. Surely, that does not promote
the kind of Islam for which Indonesian society is known.”
Dubowitz continued, “Nor do democracies permit speech that incites and
encourages terrorism. Indonesia is a growing democracy, one that the
world looks to for the way it has preserved and respected Islam while
strengthening democratic institutions.”
Al-Manar was the first media organization to be designated a terrorist
entity by the United States. In addition to openly broadcasting
incitement to violence and recruiting terrorists, al-Manar was found to
provide “operational surveillance” to Hezbollah. In designating al-Manar
a Specially Designated Terrorist entity, the United States government
understood that terrorist organizations masquerading as legitimate media
outlets should be recognized for what they are.
Al-Manar has been found to be in breach of the European Television
Without Frontiers Directive (TWFD). According to Article 22a, “Member
States shall ensure that broadcasts do not contain any incitement to
hatred on grounds of race, sex, religion or nationality.”
When al-Manar was launched, its website stated its purpose: to wage
“psychological warfare” against its enemies, including the United
States. That goal remains the same today. In an interview, an al-Manar
official said its programming is meant to “help people on the way to
committing what you call in the West a suicide mission.” Implementing
its goal, many of al-Manar’s videos aim to recruit terrorists. Al-Manar
uses music videos and programs aimed at children glorifying suicide
bombers and encouraging children to engage in terrorist activity.
In urging Indonesia Telkom to cease its relationship with al-Manar,
Dubowitz said, “Indonesia Telkom’s relationship with al-Manar cannot be
seen merely as a business transaction. In today’s world, corporations
have global responsibilities besides earning a few extra dollars for its
shareholders. Moreover, transacting commerce with terrorist entities
can’t help shareholder value.”
Asiasat, Eutelsat, Globecast, NSS, Intelsat, Hispasat, Amazonas, TARBS
and most recently Thaicom are some of the satellite companies that have
ceased broadcasting al-Manar.
CATM, a coalition of Muslim, Christian, Jewish and secular organizations
and individuals in Europe, the Middle East and the United States, works
to educate the public, the satellite industry and governments about
media outlets that are owned or funded by terrorist organizations and
those who advocate or incite violence.
A man whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II owned a
number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German
people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward
fanaticism.
"Very few people were true Nazis "he said," but many enjoyed the return
of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those
who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just
sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us,
we had lost control and the end of the world had come. My family lost
everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed
my factories."
We are told again and again by "experts" and "talking heads" that Islam
is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority of Muslims just
want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true,
it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us
feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the spectre of fanatics
rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam. The fact is that the
fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history.
It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50
shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter
Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking
over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who
bomb, behead, murder, or honor killers. It is the fanatics who take over
mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning
and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. The hard quantifiable fact
is that the "peaceful majority", the "silent majority", is cowed and
extraneous.
Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in
peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of
about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. China 's
huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to
kill a staggering 70 million people.
The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a
warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across
South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic
murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel,
and bayonet. And, who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery?
Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were "peace loving"?
History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our
powers of reason we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of
points: Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence.
Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up,
because, like my friend from Germany, they will awaken one day and find
that the fanatics own them and the end of their world will have begun.
Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs,
Afghanis, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many
others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it
was too late.
As for us who watch it all unfold; we must pay attention to the only
group that counts; the fanatics who threaten our way of life.
A report is pending
from www.mappingsharia.us that
should shed even more light as to the Islamic extremism being taught in
America's mosques.
I was told in early
2008 that the initial report would be coming out in "soon" in early
2008. But when you go to the site it becomes obvious that new
content stopped around the end of 2007. I've got to wonder what is
going on with this project (e.g., has it somehow been silenced).
At any rate I sent them an
email on 08/28/2008 and they sent the following reply:
"We’re working on the
data analysis and write up now. Probably a month away."
In previous
conversations with this group I was told that there is at least one
mosque in the Dearborn area that was surveyed and analyzed for the
forthcoming report. In the meantime you can check out their
website or listen to an interview that radio host Michael Savage did
with one of the authors of the report:
Of course Islamic
extremist is not just confined to some of the Islamic mosques, it is
also growing across our University campuses. The following video
will expose the infiltration of Islamic groups upon our colleges and
universities:
I want to qualify
this video by saying there are a few things I don't agree with: (1) I
also don't support most of the Patriot Act and (2) I DO believe US
government complicity in 911 (with the help of Islamic Fanatics).
Sherry Jones, the journalist whose debut novel, The Jewel of Medina,
about the prophet Muhammed and his lady friend A'isha, got canceled when
Random House, her publisher, got scared of getting terrorist-attacked,
has posted a brief but fierce missive that her 14-year-old daughter
Mariah wrote in response to one Jonathan Moeller, who'd been critical of
her mom's book on his blog.
Mariah posted her note as a comment on Mr. Moeller's blog last night at
11:17pm:
Hello, I am Sherry Jones's daughter, Mariah. I'm fourteen, and for a
teenager, I see that this article is disgraceful. My mother's book
(which I have actually read), is anything but 'Trashy'. How could
anyone, who has not had the opportunity to read this book, judge it
without concern. Denise Spellberg, ruined my mother's dreams and hard
work. She may not have realized to consequences of doing so, but being a
member of the Jones family, I do. When you give criticism, it should be
constructive criticism. Not a letter proclaiming that there would be
terrorist attacks, and that Spellberg "feared" for her life. This, is
just unfair. My mother, is a respectable person. She would never
purposefully put down someone's religion, regardless of what some people
may think. Her book is full of passion, and life. Not of trashy scenes.
When you say "T.M.I.", my guess is that you mean "Too Much Information",
when obviously, you don't have enough.
Ms. Jones reproduced her daughter's note on her blog about an hour
later, after she came home from dancing. "Ah, that's my girl," Ms. Jones
wrote. "A chick off the old block."
Mr. Moeller responded the following morning:
Mariah:
I’m not entirely certain if you’re disagreeing with me or the Wall
Street Journal article. I’ll assume both.
You’ll notice that I strongly disagreed with Random House’s decision to
pull the book, and expressed hope that Ms. Jones would find another
publisher and sell “a gazillion” copies. I also noted that it was
something of a double standard for Prof. Spellberg to denounce “Jewel”
while supporting “The Last Temptation of Christ”. As for “TMI”, well - I
do not care for romance novels in general, since they seem to be a genre
devoted entirely to “TMI”. That is of course a personal taste, and
people are free to disagree with me.
This leads me to the altogether peculiar position of supporting the
publication of a book I probably would never have read otherwise.
Anyway, I hope things work out for you and Ms. Jones. Considering the
substantial publicity the cancellation has already generated, I’d say
there’s a good chance of that happening. The biggest hurdle for any
fiction writer is to get people interested in the book, since they’ll
never buy it otherwise. Obviously, having the contract canceled is
probably not the best way to go about it, but it seems to be working for
“Jewel”.
Mariah hit right back after lunch with a semi-conciliatory response,
saying, among other things, "I know, that there are people, who will
judge her book without even reading it, and this is what pisses me off.
How dare you (Not you Johnathan, the people who are too narrow minded to
accept something new.), pass judgement on something more beautiful and
literate then you could ever hope to be."
You Still Can't Write About Muhammad

Starting in 2002, Spokane, Wash., journalist Sherry Jones toiled
weekends on a racy historical novel about Aisha, the young wife of the
prophet Muhammad. Ms. Jones learned Arabic, studied scholarly works
about Aisha's life, and came to admire her protagonist as a woman of
courage. When Random House bought her novel last year in a $100,000,
two-book deal, she was ecstatic. This past spring, she began plans for
an eight-city book tour after the Aug. 12 publication date of "The Jewel
of Medina" -- a tale of lust, love and intrigue in the prophet's harem.
Corbis
It's not going to happen: In May, Random House abruptly called off
publication of the book. The series of events that torpedoed this novel
are a window into how quickly fear stunts intelligent discourse about
the Muslim world.
Random House feared the book would become a new "Satanic Verses," the
Salman Rushdie novel of 1988 that led to death threats, riots and the
murder of the book's Japanese translator, among other horrors. In an
interview about Ms. Jones's novel, Thomas Perry, deputy publisher at
Random House Publishing Group, said that it "disturbs us that we feel we
cannot publish it right now." He said that after sending out advance
copies of the novel, the company received "from credible and unrelated
sources, cautionary advice not only that the publication of this book
might be offensive to some in the Muslim community, but also that it
could incite acts of violence by a small, radical segment."
After consulting security experts and Islam scholars, Mr. Perry said the
company decided "to postpone publication for the safety of the author,
employees of Random House, booksellers and anyone else who would be
involved in distribution and sale of the novel."
This saga upsets me as a Muslim -- and as a writer who believes that
fiction can bring Islamic history to life in a uniquely captivating and
humanizing way. "I'm devastated," Ms. Jones told me after the book got
spiked, adding, "I wanted to honor Aisha and all the wives of Muhammad
by giving voice to them, remarkable women whose crucial roles in the
shaping of Islam have so often been ignored -- silenced -- by
historians." Last month, Ms. Jones signed a termination agreement with
Random House, so her literary agent could shop the book to other
publishers.
This time, the instigator of the trouble wasn't a radical Muslim cleric,
but an American academic. In April, looking for endorsements, Random
House sent galleys to writers and scholars, including Denise Spellberg,
an associate professor of Islamic history at the University of Texas in
Austin. Ms. Jones put her on the list because she read Ms. Spellberg's
book, "Politics, Gender, and the Islamic Past: The Legacy of 'A'isha
Bint Abi Bakr."
But Ms. Spellberg wasn't a fan of Ms. Jones's book. On April 30, Shahed
Amanullah, a guest lecturer in Ms. Spellberg's classes and the editor of
a popular Muslim Web site, got a frantic call from her. "She was upset,"
Mr. Amanullah recalls. He says Ms. Spellberg told him the novel "made
fun of Muslims and their history," and asked him to warn Muslims.
In an interview, Ms. Spellberg told me the novel is a "very ugly, stupid
piece of work." The novel, for example, includes a scene on the night
when Muhammad consummated his marriage with Aisha: "the pain of
consummation soon melted away. Muhammad was so gentle. I hardly felt the
scorpion's sting. To be in his arms, skin to skin, was the bliss I had
longed for all my life." Says Ms. Spellberg: "I walked through a metal
detector to see 'Last Temptation of Christ,'" the controversial 1980s
film adaptation of a novel that depicted a relationship between Jesus
and Mary Magdalene. "I don't have a problem with historical fiction. I
do have a problem with the deliberate misinterpretation of history. You
can't play with a sacred history and turn it into soft core
pornography."
After he got the call from Ms. Spellberg, Mr. Amanullah dashed off an
email to a listserv of Middle East and Islamic studies graduate
students, acknowledging he didn't "know anything about it [the book],"
but telling them, "Just got a frantic call from a professor who got an
advance copy of the forthcoming novel, 'Jewel of Medina' -- she said she
found it incredibly offensive." He added a write-up about the book from
the Publishers Marketplace, an industry publication.
The next day, a blogger known as Shahid Pradhan posted Mr. Amanullah's
email on a Web site for Shiite Muslims -- "Hussaini Youth" -- under a
headline, "upcoming book, 'Jewel of Medina': A new attempt to slander
the Prophet of Islam." Two hours and 28 minutes after that, another
person by the name of Ali Hemani proposed a seven-point strategy to
ensure "the writer withdraws this book from the stores and apologise all
the muslims across the world."
Meanwhile back in New York City, Jane Garrett, an editor at Random
House's Knopf imprint, dispatched an email on May 1 to Knopf executives,
telling them she got a phone call the evening before from Ms. Spellberg
(who happens to be under contract with Knopf to write "Thomas
Jefferson's Qur'an.")
"She thinks there is a very real possibility of major danger for the
building and staff and widespread violence," Ms. Garrett wrote. "Denise
says it is 'a declaration of war . . . explosive stuff . . . a national
security issue.' Thinks it will be far more controversial than the
satanic verses and the Danish cartoons. Does not know if the author and
Ballantine folks are clueless or calculating, but thinks the book should
be withdrawn ASAP." ("The Jewel of Medina" was to be published by Random
House's Ballantine Books.) That day, the email spread like wildfire
through Random House, which also received a letter from Ms. Spellberg
and her attorney, saying she would sue the publisher if her name was
associated with the novel. On May 2, a Ballantine editor told Ms.
Jones's agent the company decided to possibly postpone publication of
the book.
On a May 21 conference call, Random House executive Elizabeth McGuire
told the author and her agent that the publishing house had decided to
indefinitely postpone publication of the novel for "fear of a possible
terrorist threat from extremist Muslims" and concern for "the safety and
security of the Random House building and employees."
All this saddens me. Literature moves civilizations forward, and Islam
is no exception. There is in fact a tradition of historical fiction in
Islam, including such works as "The Adventures of Amir Hamza," an epic
on the life of Muhammad's uncle. Last year a 948-page English
translation was published, ironically, by Random House. And, for all
those who believe the life of the prophet Muhammad can't include stories
of lust, anger and doubt, we need only read the Quran (18:110) where,
it's said, God instructed Muhammad to tell others: "I am only a mortal
like you."
Ms. Nomani, a former Wall Street Journal reporter, is the author of
"Standing Alone: An American Woman's Struggle for the Soul of Islam" (HarperOne,
2006).
You
just got to check out the stuff on this website. The more you
listen to this crap the more you have to wonder when they got
lobotomized. One of my favorite links is a audio discussion of
polygamy in Islam. This Black male Muslim is continuously
questioned by a black women who keeps saying that basically black women
are not buying this crap. It is really funny stuff, until you
consider what a threat Islam is to our Constitution and the freedoms of
all humankind.
Of course polygamy
is, and has always been, strictly reserved for the elite. I mean,
how many poor men are likely to have multiple wives. Islamic
polygamy belies the bullshit about "a religion of peace." It may
be peaceful for the Muslim elite, however, the masses just serve as
their dhimmi's, kafirs and slaves. Wake up an smell the ganja
brothers and sisters, before you find yourselves back in shackles and
chains again -- as Muslim slaves.
And you really have
to wonder if these Black Muslims have a clue as to how Muslims forced
millions of Black females into sexual slavery and castrated so many
Black males who were also forced into labor slavery. I have
a feeling that if every Black Muslim would just watch the following
video . . . there would be no more Black Muslims, period.
And that is exactly why I hope millions of Black Muslims take the time
to watch this video:
The purpose of this article is to
show how the barbaric nature of Islam manifests itself in the cruel
treatment of women.
1. Lets start with the "great" Mohammed himself, the founder of this
"fabulous" faith. Mohammed was married to Khadija Bibi, his employer and
15 years his senior. At that time Mohammed was 25 years old. He was
Khadija Bibi's third husband. Khadija Bibi was a widow when she married
Mohammed. For the first time in his life, Mohammed enjoyed a luxurious
life.
This shows the parasitic nature of Mohammed who married his employer so
that he can live a rich life without putting in a single day's work.
2. Khadija Bibi died when Mohammed was 49 years old. Between the ages of
49 and 63 the "great prophet" married at least 11 times.
This shows how he treated the institution of marriage. For him, women
were nothing but objects for sexual fulfillment. Marrying at least 11
women in 14 years throws light on his insatiable sexual appetite.
Read on about the "greatness" of this prophet.
3. Mohammed's favorite wife was Ayesha Bibi who was 6 years old when she
was married to him.
Marrying a 6 year old baby clearly shows that Mohammed was not only a
womanizer but also a child molester.
4. Mohammed's adopted son Zayed was married to Zainab, daughter of Jahsh.
But one day the prophet "beheld in a loose undress, the beauty of Zainab,
and burst forth into an ejaculation of devotion and desire. The servile,
or greatful, freeman (Zayed) understood the hint and yielded without
hesitation to the love of the benefactor."
Mohammed was not satisfied with his own overflowing harem and had to
marry his son's wife. His son being a devoted follower of the "great"
prophet was more than happy to divorce his wife. What a great
father-in-law Mohammed was, a model for all Islamic father-in-laws!
Pat Condell is from England and provides a glimpse of the plans
Islamic Fundamentalists have for the United States. He has a dry,
cutting sense of humor which is good for a laugh. But he truly
gives perspective to the unease between Muslims/Non-Muslims in Europe
and makes an incredibly good argument for stopping the further
immigration, of people from Muslim countries, into the United States.
Having said that I want to make clear that New Age Citizen does not
discriminate on this issue: we want no more immigration, Legal/Illegal,
of any ethnicity into the United States, until American workers are
economically secure once again. We feel such a moratorium should
last a minimum of 20 years. See the "New Agenda for America" for
more information on our political planks and positions.
A word to Islamofascists
Letter to Pat Condell:
Pat Condell: [pat@patcondell.net]
I live in Dearborn, Michigan . . . the most concentrated population of
Muslims in the United States. I've recently started a section titled
"Dearbornistan" where I am showing some of your videos:
http://www.newagecitizen.com/Dearbornistan.htm
Hope you don't mind. But frankly, I wouldn't care if you did. [picked
that humor up from you, hee, hee]
Anyway, onto more serious stuff:
* You said the witch was executed recently. Which witch? Was that the
female that caused the Saudi to become impudent? I see no articles
verifying her death as of yet.
* Any opinion on what is going on in Kosovo? I am mystified as to why
the US is supporting an Islamic state so close to Europe. Well, not
really. See the following link for more perspective:
* Also wondering what you thoughts are on the attempted censorship of
Wilders "Fitna" film; your opinion of him etc. See the current
"Dearbornistan" page for more information.
* Finally, if you have any perspectives as to how Middle Easterners are
buying up our city I'd sure love to hear your perspectives. I don't
think they raised the money working a second job. Just today an Iraqi
was charge in a Iraqi "oil for food" scandal (through the UN) where he
was given 3 million barrels of oil. Not sure how that works out but at
even $30/barrel that grosses to 90 million dollars. You could sure buy a
lot of gas stations with that allowance.

At any rate I appreciate your brave "stand ups" on the issue of Islamic

I don't intend to spend a lot of time on this section because there is really
no reason to invent the wheel here. Over the years I have found the
Debbie Schlussel's website is probably the best single source of "alternative"
information on the Mid-Eastern (ME) Community. If you live in SE Michigan
and want an alternative view of the ME community this is a site that you should
visit regularly. I think what you read here will both educate and
infuriate you. And sometimes that is a good thing. I don't
necessarily endorse everything that Debbie says, as is the case with any person
or article that I might make reference to. But I do think you will find
this information source to be particularly revelatory.
These are just a few links that will give you an alternative view of Islam
that you aren't going to read about in the Detroit Free Press, the Detroit News,
or any other corporately controlled media source.

This is an extremely disturbing video and not for those with weak
stomachs. But I present it here because I think it shows a side of
Islamofacism that is largely "covered up" in the global media. This video
underlines my argument against further immigration into the United States by any
group. But in the wake of 911 I think it prudent that we specifically and
immediately stem the flow of immigrants from all Muslim countries.
