To: The Majority of Americans who now support the full Re-Legalization of Marijuana

Record-High 50% of Americans Favor Legalizing Marijuana Use: October 17, 2011
Liberals and those 18 to 29 most in favor; Americans 65 and older most opposed

Yes it is true.  Gallup Polls, for the first time in October 2011, now report that a majority of American Citizens now believe that Marijuana should be legal for all purposes, not just "medical purposes."   That is a huge 4% increase from last year and light-years ahead of the 12% support garnered, during the hippie era (1969) when the poll was first conducted.

Unfortunately none of the 2012 Presidential Candidates -- Obama, Romney and perhaps Perry -- have any intention of supporting our right to consume and cultivate this relatively harmless plant.

Over the next 12 months I hope to convince you that I should become the next President of the United States.  At this time I only ask that you do two simple things:

(1) Put my name "Bruce W. Cain" on a business card, or piece of paper, and place it in your wallet just in case you wish to "write me in" for President in November 2012.
(2) Share this link, www.newagecitizen.com, and related articles, videos etc. with your friends on Face Book and other Web Social Interaction Groups.

My name is Bruce W. Cain and I have been the editor of the "New Age Citizen" Website since it's inception around 14 years ago in the year 1997.  Prior to that I was the editor and publisher of "New Age Patriot" (1989 - 1997): a magazine on "Drug, Environmental and Social Reform."  I have been an advocate for our inalienable right to grow and consume Marijuana --without taxation or regulation -- since I first inhaled in 1968 at the tender age of 14.   Sadly that was nearly 43 years ago.

In 1989 I met Jack Herer, at the Hash Bash in Ann Arbor.  For the next 21 years -- until his death in the Spring of 2010 -- I have dedicated much of my activism towards our shared dream of Re-Legalizing Marijuana in order that all of it's Agricultural, Industrial, Medicinal and Recreational applications could become part of the commons.  After his death I have made the decision to continue on with this struggle despite rising resistance from the Obama Administration.

Over the last 57 years I have worked as a Systems Analyst for some very prestigious organizations including Henry Ford Hospital and AT&T.  In 2008 I ran against Congressman John Dingle (MI) for US Congress and I have engaged in public debate with Dingle, Conyers and many other public officials over the last few decades.  Today I am gearing up for a very serious "write in" campaign to become the next President of the United States.  I will not be registering as a Democrat nor a Republican.  I will not be taking in any Corporate donations.  I will not in any way even register to run.  My campaign will be solely dependent on one simple act on the part of the American People: writing me in for POTUS on Tuesday, November 6th, 2012.

When you go into the voting booth in November 2012 you will not leave until you are properly instructed on how to write my name -- "Bruce W. Cain" -- on your ballot as your preferred candidate for the next President of the United States.

Before the 2008 Presidential Election I accused candidate Obama of being a Globalist Corporate Whore which understandably upset the majority of his supporters.  As I reassess this accusation, nearly 3 years later, I don't think I could have been any more concise or accurate.  And with Obama's support dwindling, by the day, it now appears most of the American People now agree with my assessment of President Obama.  In 2010 I worked with a number of activists to defeat Prop19 in California -- Prop19 -- because we did not want to see Marijuana "taxed, regulated and controlled" by city, state or federal government.  We succeeded.

Around the beginning of October 2011 President Obama essentially declared War on the American People: of which the majority have supported the full Legalization of Marijuana since Spring 2009.  He did this by insisting that all California Marijuana Dispensaries be closed within 45 days.  He did this by insisting that anyone using Marijuana no longer has the right to own a gun.  And he has been doing this since he got in office by blackmailing local law enforcement to arrest and forfeit the property of those growing or consuming one of the safest therapeutic herbs known to mankind.

What most Americans don't understand is that, while he is declaring War on the American People, he is concurrently paving the way for his Pharmaceutical and Agricultural contributors (e.g., Monsanto, G W Pharmaceutical etc.) to monopolize all production and distribution of Marijuana.  And all of this is occurring while average American's are getting arrested, imprisoned and robbed of their homes, cars and cash -- most for merely consuming Marijuana.

Today, 10/28/2011, President Obama has further insulted the majority of Americans, supporting full Marijuana Legalization, by making the ridiculous claim that Marijuana "is not a benign drug."

He made this statement through Drug Czar Kerlikowske after his "We the People" petition campaign, once again, was dominated by petitions calling for the end of Marijuana Prohibition.  Here is how the White House described the "We the People" campaign:

The right to petition your government is guaranteed by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. We the People provides a new way to petition the Obama Administration to take action on a range of important issues facing our country. We created We the People because we want to hear from you. If a petition gets enough support, White House staff will review it, ensure it’s sent to the appropriate policy experts, and issue an official response.

And here is how President Obama has once again ignored the majority of Legal American Citizens (e.g., "We the People"):

What We Have to Say About Legalizing Marijuana

By: Gil Kerlikowske

When the President took office, he directed all of his policymakers to develop policies based on science and research, not ideology or politics. So our concern about marijuana is based on what the science tells us about the drug's effects.

According to scientists at the National Institutes of Health- the world's largest source of drug abuse research - marijuana use is associated with addiction, respiratory disease, and cognitive impairment. We know from an array of treatment admission information and Federal data that marijuana use is a significant source for voluntary drug treatment admissions and visits to emergency rooms. Studies also reveal that marijuana potency has almost tripled over the past 20 years, raising serious concerns about what this means for public health – especially among young people who use the drug because research shows their brains continue to develop well into their 20's. Simply put, it, (Marijuana), is not a benign drug.

So apparently Obama thinks that while we have the right to petition the government, that he has the right to merely ignore us even when we now constitute the majority.  So much for "We the People" when Obama continues to act as a "Globalist Corporate Whore" who only seems to care about "We the 1 Percent."

I actually have a plan and strategy to fully legalize Marijuana throughout the United States.  The following video explains the strategy in less than 10 minutes.  Please take the time to understand the MERP Strategy:

Petition for the Immediate Re-Legalization of Marijuana

Please support my candidacy in the months to come. And also insist that "Occupy Wall Street" and other similar initiatives make clear that Obama is a very big part of the problem for the 99 percent of Americans that are being crushed by Obama's Globalist Presidency.  Unfortunately the very same thing could be said of every president since JFK was murdered in 1963.
